"Are they going to war?"

Even though an announcement had been made in the various countries of the racial alliance, people still couldn’t help looking worried when they saw all of these soldiers being mobilized.

It was simply too many people that had been mobilized this time.

It made them think that the final battle with the forces of Destruction was happening.

Or at the very least, there was some kind of invasion that was happening.

But even if the people were worried, that didn’t matter as they didn’t get in the way of the soldiers. Their worry made them stay as far away as possible from the soldiers that were passing through.

Because they kept their distance, there was no impediment for these soldiers as they made their way towards their destination.

For the people watching, there were some that couldn’t help taking notice of this.

Most of the people just went back home and pretended that everything was fine when the soldiers passed. But for the ones that lived near the targets, they naturally took notice of these soldiers.

After all, they were the ones that had suffered the most from the monsters that lived in these places.

So when someone was heading to the place that these monsters were and they all seemed to be soldiers, they naturally wanted to see what was happening.

When the citizens saw that the soldiers were taking out the monsters, they were hopeful. But it wasn’t as if they had never seen this kind of thing before.

In their minds, they thought that these soldiers were only doing this for some other gain and wouldn’t go that far into the forest. They didn’t truly believe that the soldiers were here to clear out the monsters.

Only as time passed, their minds slowly started to change.

Even if they wanted to deny it, it wasn’t as if they could deny what was happening.

Seeing the systemic transport of the monster corpses coming from the forest, it seemed like they were indeed planning on clearing out the monsters that lived in this place. At the same time, it didn’t seem like they were planning on just leaving once they had collected enough of what they wanted.

After all, the monster corpses that were being taken out of the forest were all piled on the side and then disposed of on the spot. It didn’t seem like they were that interested in the items that came from the monsters, it seemed like they cared more about getting rid of the corpses as soon as possible with how they burned them.

"It’s a waste, isn’t it?"

It wasn’t only the ones that were watching that thought this, the soldiers themselves all thought that it was a waste with how they were just ruining all of these materials.

There were some monsters that they couldn’t use, but there were certainly many monsters that they could harvest. After all, monsters were a precious source of materials with how strong they were.

If they could take these things back with them, there was no doubt that they would be able to create all kinds of precious equipment for themselves. So it really was a waste to see them being disposed of like this.

But in the end, this was the order that came down from above.

When orders came down from above, there was no one that dared to go against it.

After all, these were orders that came from all of the countries that were a part of the racial alliance. No matter how arrogant one was, they wouldn’t be able to go against something like this.

Which was why they were even more confused when there were a few that they were allowed to cut up.

Among the soldiers, there were specialists that had been sent.

It was only after the specialists looked over the corpses and designated them as safe that they were able to cut up those corpses. Otherwise, they had no choice but to burn them.

The soldiers had no idea who these specialists were and why they were the ones that could decide everything, but once again these were the orders that came from above.

When the orders came, there really wasn’t anything that they could say.

Just like this, there was this mass extermination of monsters that was carried out.

There were those that approved of this, there were those that disapproved of this, but most people were just confused because they had no idea what was happening.

Only none of that mattered since it wasn’t something that bothered people’s livelihoods and they could accept it.

It only mattered that those at the top knew what was happening.

In fact, there was a special group that had been assembled by the racial alliance during this mass mobilization. They were the ones that had the hardest job since they had to run from site to site and take care of the true targets.

But none of them dared to take things that easily.

"Is everyone ready?"

When we arrived at our first destination, I could see that everyone immediately tensed up.

After all, the reason that we came here was dangerous enough that it would put all of our lives at risk. So the fact that they had even volunteered to come was already a demonstration of the courage that they had.

But in the end, it was still dangerous.

The cave that was in front of us was the cave in the reports regarding the corruption energy. This was the place where they had discovered traces of corruption energy and immediately pulled away.

So if things went as expected, it would mean that there was the same setup that was inside of this cave. It would mean that there should be more of those same black spheres that we had discovered previously in this cave.

Still, they were able to calm themselves down in the end.

After all, the ones that had come were all elites of the racial alliance relic users.

Only these people were qualified to face these thing
