Black spheres containing corrupted entities hatch, releasing humanoid creatures radiating an aura similar to the Four Omens. Alidus and Lancelot are eager to fight, but the protagonist restrains them, recognizing the danger. The newly hatched creatures immediately turn on each other, consuming parts of their rivals to grow stronger in a process resembling a gu ceremony. The protagonist realizes they must act before these creatures become as powerful as the Four Omens.

The corruption energy monsters that were gathered at the entrance of this cave didn’t seem to do anything at first. They were watching as the newly born Apostles of Destruction were just tearing into each other like this.

It seemed like they were waiting for them to finish this ceremony and create something that would lead them.

But during this process, it seemed like whatever had been holding back the corruption energy monsters suddenly disappeared. It was as if the entrance of the cave was opened up to them as they started pouring in.

However, it wasn’t as if they were going in to attack the Apostles of Destruction or to stop them.

Once the corruption energy monsters entered the range of the Apostles of Destruction, they suddenly came to a stop. After stopping like this, the Apostles of Destruction reached out and pulled them in.

Without any hesitation, the corruption energy monsters allowed themselves to be absorbed.

There wasn’t even a need to fully pull the corruption energy monsters in, just touching them was enough to break them down and take in the corruption energy that they were made of into themselves.

There were more and more corruption energy monsters that rushed into the cave, as if they wanted to give themselves up to the Apostles of Destruction that were coming out of the black spheres.

It seemed like the forces of Destruction were going all out to try and nurture these Apostles of Destruction in an attempt to bring them up to the level of the Four Omens.

Only it wasn’t as if we could allow them to do that.

"Take care of the corruption energy monsters in the surrounding area, I’ll think of how to deal with the ones in the cave."

The saintess didn’t hesitate as she left the tunnel of divine energy flames and charged at the corruption energy monsters that were around us.

She was the one that always followed orders right away, but that was more because of her faith. She was from the Holy Empire that worshiped gods and I had seen the way that she looked at me in secret.

If it wasn’t for the fact that she was part of the clergy, it really would have been dangerous with my wives.

Though it was a step slower, the other relic users didn’t hesitate to follow behind her.

The only reason that they had been a step slower was because they had been caught off guard by everything that happened, it wasn’t because they had any less faith in me.

They were royal guards from the Kite Kingdom after all, so their faith was just as strong. Especially after seeing all of the different things that I’ve done in my time as the king of the Kite Kingdom.

From what I’ve heard, there were some wives and fiancees that were even envious because of the way that they looked at me. There were even some of them that secretly worshiped statues of me in their home.

The reason that I knew about this wasn’t because I had been spying on them, but rather because I could feel the faith that came from them. When they prayed in front of my statue, they had given me their sincere prayers which made things even more awkward for me.

With the relic users being led by the saintess taking care of the surrounding corruption energy monsters, the path forward was cleared and there were less corruption energy monsters that were charging into the cave to feed the Apostles of Destruction.

It seemed that for a moment, they realized that there were less of these corruption energy monsters around to feed them.

However, it didn’t seem like this really mattered since the Apostles of Destruction were only focused on one thing. They were all focused on tearing away at each other to become the one and only survivor.

It didn’t matter if there were these corruption energy monsters boosting them or not.

This was a good thing since it gave us more options to strike.

But the one problem was that Alldus and Old Man Lancelot weren’t listening to the order that I just gave.

The way that they stood near me, it was as if they were just waiting for me to make a move. They were planning on using me as cover so that they would be able to fight the Apostles of Destruction in the cave.

As I looked at them, I was trying to use my gaze to convince them to back down.

But in the end, it didn’t seem like they were willing to back down.

I looked back at the Apostles of Destruction that were attacking each other for a moment as I thought about it.

In the end, I said with a sigh, "Just don’t go too far away from me."

It wasn’t that I was saying that I didn’t trust them, it was just that there were too many enemies and that there was no telling what would appear. In this case, it was best that we grouped up as much as possible so that nothing happened.

There was a trace of dissatisfaction that appeared in their eyes when they heard this, but they didn’t do anything in the end as they followed me closely.

However, they were a bit too close for comfort...

It was as if they were preparing to charge forward to deal with anything that came at me.

Regardless, I went forward to deal with the Apostles of Destruction that were fighting each other.

"This is too easy..."

It really was easy cutting them down since they weren’t that much stronger than normal Apostles of Destruction. At the same time, it didn’t seem like they were interested in fighting us at all with how they continued to attack each other.

Eventually, there were only a few more Apostles of Destruction left.

Only when there were these few Apostles of Destruction left did they finally seem to notice us.
