Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2530: Completely given up (2)

"As more and more relic users are appearing in the racial alliance, we’ve encountered a problem that we haven’t faced before."
Confused looks followed when I said this, but I didn’t rush my words.
I just let these words sink in for a bit first because only then would it drive home what I was about to say.
Seeing that they became a bit anxious, that was when I finally said, "Each relic user is powerful, but we’ve reached the point where letting them act on their own would be considered a waste of their abilities."
Slowly the expressions on their faces started to change.
It wasn’t as if they couldn’t pick up hints on what I was proposing and it wasn’t as if this was a bad thing for them. For these people that wanted more influence over the relic users, this might even be a good proposal.
That was as long as they were able to get a piece of this pie.
The fact that I was proposing this meant that I already had an idea of who I wanted to push forward for the position that I was about to create.
They had to figure out a way to push the ones that they wanted into the new position I was proposing.
However, there was one thing that they couldn’t deny.
"First, I think that those that ranked in the top sixteen should be considered for these positions."
There was no one that argued against this since there was no one that could actually argue against this.
The ones in the top sixteen were among the top relic users that were out there, so it wasn’t as if they could say that the ones that they backed were capable of surpassing them.
It was just that they were waiting to hear who else would be able to take the position of commander.
With the hundreds of millions of people that lived on the continent from all of the different races and with how relics were being mass produced now, it wasn’t as if there was a lack of relic users.
There were enough relic users that an entire army could be gathered just from them alone.
Though in terms of ability, there were many relic users that were still lacking.
It hadn’t been long since they had received their relics, so it wasn’t as if they were that skilled at using them just yet. This was also the reason why they had responded so positively when it came to the matter of the school.
But even so, there were those that had become relic users before the others did.
Those were the ones that they were trying to push to become the commanders.
"Other than that, there will be relic users that will be chosen from the different races."
Once again, there wasn’t anyone that argued with me when I said this.
After all, this was something that was done without bringing in the relic users from the other races. They didn’t have the time to come and participate in this tournament like the relic users of the human race.
There were some that came, but most of them were just new relic users that could be spared.
For the other races, it wasn’t as if they would allow humans to remain on their territory full time. So in the end, it was the relic users of their own race that had to remain in their territory to protect their people.
But that didn’t mean that they were weak.
They were strong enough to be trusted with protecting their territory, so they were anything but weak.
If they had participated in the tournament, it was likely that they would have ranked in the top sixteen and pushed out some that were already ranked in the top sixteen.
This was a fact that everyone in the racial alliance recognized, so it wasn’t as if there was anyone foolish enough to deny this and offend the other races.
"With this, it seems like all of the spots have been filled."
Ugly expressions appeared on their faces when they heard this.
It seemed like they were planning on saying something to convince everyone that there should be more positions created.
However, I had something to say about this, "Relic users are different from soldiers in the end. There’s no need for too many leaders or else it’ll just cause trouble. We only need a few general leaders to give simple orders and the rest can make their own decisions based on their situation."
Though I put it lightly, everyone knew that these newly created positions weren’t that simple.
With the power that relic users possessed, there was no doubt that these leaders among the relic users would be able to show strong influence on the relic users that followed them.
In the future, their voices might even be greater than them as representatives in the racial alliance.
Once again, it wasn’t as if I couldn’t see this.
Which was why I suddenly said, "However, it isn’t as if they will serve in these positions forever. We can’t just let them take on this responsibility for an indefinite period of time, it wouldn’t be fair."
All of the representatives looked like they were caught off guard when they heard this.
It didn’t seem like a single one of them had expected me to say something like this.
However, they did react quickly and they were able to come back to their senses.
They all looked like they wanted to propose some kind of method that would benefit them on how to choose the next leaders.
It was just that I didn’t give them that chance once more.
"It’s very simple, we’ll just choose depending on how strong they are. The relic users are free to challenge the ones that are currently in the leader position and if they win, they will take that position. It’ll be perfect for fostering competition and helping them grow in the future."
Bitter smiles appeared on the faces of the representatives, but they couldn’t say anything.
They knew that strength was the most important thing when it came to who led the relic users, but they also knew that it was impossible for their relic users to reach that level.
So in the end, they had no choice but to swallow everything.
