The training session concluded, but the leader had one more surprise: an additional training session utilizing new equipment. Barrels were brought out, containing divine energy weapons, which were then distributed to the participants. These weapons, normally inaccessible to them, caused excitement and contemplation about their relationship with the racial alliance. The leader announced they could keep the weapons after the session, prompting narrowed eyes from the sect masters and racial alliance officials as the new training commenced.

The participants in the training sessions didn’t disappoint when the session started.

With the divine energy weapons in hand, it wasn’t as if the corruption energy monsters released from the samples were any match.

These were special samples that we had created for this training session, so it wasn’t as if they were that strong. But it wasn’t as if they were that weak either since it wouldn’t be a proper training session if that was the case.

These were still the ones that had been chosen to represent the racial alliance and the cultivation sects, so it was impossible for them to be weak.

It didn’t take long before they were able to overwhelm the corruption energy monsters that were coming at them.

Only it would have been too simple if that was all that had been prepared, which was why the training session wasn’t over after all of the corruption energy monsters in front of them were taken down.

Turning around, they could sense that there was something coming from the forest behind them.

Other than the ones that came to set up these barrels filled with corruption energy samples, there were also those that had gone into the forest to set up the same thing.

The barrels filled with corruption energy samples that had been set up in the forest were now open and they were releasing the corruption energy monsters as well. If they weren’t kept in check, then it would only be a matter of time before corruption energy monsters filled this place.

Though it wasn’t as if I would allow that to happen.

Since I was using corruption energy monsters, it was only natural that I had prepared for this ahead of time.

Which was why there were divine energy barriers that appeared around the forest at the same time.

These barriers blocked anything from leaving the forest, so the corruption energy monsters wouldn’t be able to get out. As long as they were taken down quickly enough, they wouldn’t even leave a mark on the forest itself.

This was something that all depended on the participants in the training session.

Once they felt the signs of the corruption energy monsters coming from around them, they didn’t waste any time in heading off in groups.

It was just that since they weren’t familiar enough with each other and they had just been fighting with each other, they broke off into groups based on which side they came from.

The cultivators grouped with each other while the knights did the same. There wasn’t a single person that went to the other side.

This situation certainly wasn’t something that we wanted to see since we wanted to break down the walls to let them cooperate with each other. But we all knew that this wasn’t something that would happen that quickly.

However, it wasn’t as if they could just ignore each other that simply

"It seems like you’ve already figured out everything."

I didn’t say anything in response to this, but I did look at them with a smile on my face that seemed to say everything that needed to be said.

As we watched, we could see that they were realizing that they were lacking in certain things. Both sides didn’t have the ability that the other side had, which meant that there were things that they couldn’t do unless they cooperated with each other.

Naturally this was something that had been prepared in advance.

Otherwise, it would have been a bit too convenient that things worked out the way that they did.

After realizing that they had no choice but to work with each other if they wanted to clear this trial, there were those from both sides that started initiating requests to work with each other.

Now that they knew that they had no choice, it wasn’t as if they were going to keep insisting on working with the people from their side. It wasn’t as if they were doing it because they looked down on or hated each other, it was just that they had judged this to be the most optimal strategy.

Even if they were to work together in the future, it wasn’t something that could be rushed since they had never worked together with each other in the past.

So it was more efficient if they worked with people that they were more familiar with.

But it turned out that this wasn’t a problem at all.

"I know exactly what they’re going to do because I’ve faced it in battle."

After fighting with each other just now, they had a better understanding of the techniques used by both sides. Which meant that they were actually able to coordinate between sides without any problems.

As soon as someone used a technique, there was someone else that would recognize it.

So in no time at all, they were working in tandem to cut down the corruption energy monsters lurking in the forest.

"They’re actually moving even faster than before."

"It seems like these two techniques work well together."

"If we bring them all together like this, then it would be far more efficient in the future."

The sect masters and the officials of the racial alliance naturally didn’t miss this.

Once they saw how well the two sides could work with each other, they naturally wanted to start coordinating between their two sides as well. Combining their power like this wasn’t just simply adding it together, it was multiplying them to a point that surpassed the simple sum of its parts.

So everyone wanted to see if they could start pairing up with each other before the actual fight against the forces of Destruction began.

Other than this, they could see that these backups for the frontline soldiers were being trained up with this training session.

That was why they turned to me as if they were wondering if there was a reason for this.

They were all wondering if I had some kind of information that they didn’t have.
