The elders attempted to keep a close watch on the protagonist after an incident involving immortal energy, fearing further accidents. The protagonist, feeling uncomfortable with their constant attention, repeatedly feigned falling. This forced the elders to repeatedly dive to catch him, much to their growing embarrassment and frustration. When the elders' guard finally dropped due to exhaustion, the protagonist seized the opportunity and disappeared.

After landing in the cave, there was a faint smile that crept onto my lips.

Thinking of the expressions that would have been on the faces of the elders that I left behind, it really was hard for me to hold it in.

But once that smile disappeared, I looked around the cave in front of me.

It wasn’t a surprise since I had already seen this cave before when this cultivation world was still a game.

Though I wasn’t really expecting much from this cave since it was nothing more than the cave residence of a random cultivator. It wasn’t even the cave residence of a bigshot from the past, which was why I didn’t really expect anything from this place.

The only reason that I even chose to come here was because of how the elders had been sticking to me and I just wanted to get rid of them.

Otherwise I definitely wouldn’t have entered this place.

But since I was here, it wasn’t as if I could leave right away.

If I were to leave this place right away, then it would only get worse with the cultivation sects.

At that point, they might really lose control of themselves and they might cause something that would harm the racial alliance.

All I wanted to do was to make them lose hope, so that they would no longer try to control me like they had been doing. After all, it wasn’t as if they could control something that was considered a force of nature.

So they would have no choice but to give up once they realized that they couldn’t do anything about all of these ’accidents’ that I was encountering.

Looking around the cave, it really didn’t seem like there was much that was here.

I knew the spot of all the loot in this place since it was the same as in the game, but there wasn’t that much loot here when this world was still a game world.

At the same time, the loot wasn’t at a level that I was actually interested in.

From the perspective of the game, this place was nothing more than a low level looting spot. So in the end, there really wasn’t anything that could catch my attention.

Or that was what I thought based on the information that I had from the game.

The things that I found were just normal items that didn’t really have that great of an effect, just like in the game.

It was just that there were things in this place that weren’t in the game.

"Or perhaps these things had been there, it’s just that I never paid any attention to it since they were background items."

These were items that were nothing more than props when this place was still a game world, but it was different now that this game world had become a real world.

A part of me couldn’t help feeling disappointed with myself since this was something that I should have already seen coming. This was something that I had experienced when I had first entered the fantasy world and I had forgotten about it.

Reading the materials that were left behind, I realized that this cave residence wasn’t as simple as it seemed.

It turned out that I had completely missed an entire hidden compartment in this cave residence.

"How did everyone who played this game miss it? I’m sure that someone would have been able to discover it with how much they’ve analyzed it."

But the fact that no one had been able to discover it did mean something.

It wasn’t that it was so well hidden that no one was able to discover this room.

It was that this was a place that hadn’t existed until it became a real world.

Looking at the hidden room, I knew that this was the place that the owner of this cave residence hid all of the things that they didn’t want anyone discovering.

"But who was the owner of this place?"

From what I could see, the items here clearly weren’t just for some low grade cultivator. It almost seemed like this place used to belong to some kind of old monster from a previous era.

It was just that there wasn’t a single trace of immortal energy in the end.

"Even if they were some kind of old monster, it doesn’t mean that they would be guaranteed to become an immortal. In the end, it really is hard to become an immortal in this cultivation world."

I couldn’t help shaking my head as I read the journal that had been left behind.

Or at least that was what I thought at first until I noticed something.

"This wasn’t the main residence, this was nothing more than a side residence for this old monster. It was a place where he came to run away from his wife..."

A wry smile appeared on my face as I realized this.

After all, this was something that I was able to relate to.

The thing was that while I was looking at the journal, I realized that this other cave residence was not something that I had seen before in the game. It was a completely different cave residence that had never appeared in the game once.

"What is this place and who is this person?"

The more that I read this, the more confused I was about all of this.

Especially since I knew that none of the sects had ever found this other cave residence.

It really was strange that this had suddenly appeared once this game world became a real world.

"It doesn’t matter right now, all that matters is how I’ll be able to find it and get what I want from it."

So I put the journal away and prepared to leave this place.

As for the cave residence itself, I was planning on leaving it to the cultivators outside since I knew that there was nothing of importance here.
