The corruption energy was surprisingly strong as it was able to push back against all of the divine energy that I was forcing into the hole.

Even though there was all that divine energy, it seemed like the corruption energy was still seeping out.

Seeing this, I really couldn’t help wondering, "Just how much corruption energy is down there?"

If it was able to push back the divine energy and seep out like this, it meant that there had to be quite a bit of corruption energy coming out of this surprisingly small hole.

One would think that with how much corruption energy was coming out, it would have created more holes in the surrounding area. But it didn’t seem like this was the case as the corruption energy continued coming out of the same hole.

It was almost as if it was being driven by something...

Still, this wasn’t something to panic over.

Even if there was a lot of corruption energy that was coming out, it wasn’t as if the corruption energy itself was that powerful. It was just that there was a large quantity and the quality wasn’t that high.

It wasn’t as if I was going to run out of divine energy to suppress this corruption energy with, so it wasn’t a problem if there was all this corruption energy.

As expected, it didn’t take long for the flow of corruption energy to slow down.

Even though there was all this corruption energy, it wasn’t as if it was endless.

As for me, I had a decent supply of divine energy all because of my connection with Queenie.

Since it was just normal corruption energy, it wasn’t as if the divine energy had to be that strong to deal with it.

Once the flow of corruption energy slowed down, I was able to take a closer look at the hole itself and what was under it.

"It’s a tunnel?"

I didn’t know where this tunnel led, but I could guess that it was most likely where the source of this corruption energy was. As for what that source was, I had no idea at all since there shouldn’t have been anything here to grow this corruption energy.

Of course, I didn’t jump down right away since there was still plenty of corruption energy that was down there.

But since I knew that it was a tunnel and it most likely led to the source of the corruption energy, then there was no need for me to hold back any longer.

I waved at Joan who had been flying in the sky.

Joan had come as my transport and my support just in case, but now there was something else that I needed her to do.

When she landed, the two of us didn’t hesitate as we used our combination attack.

I got on the back of her head as she gathered flames in her mouth before suddenly releasing it into the hole. There was no resistance at all that came from the corruption energy that was in the hole.

Then all of a sudden, I had Joan stop releasing these flames.

Without any hesitation, I jumped down into the tunnel to see what was down there.

With the power of Joan’s flames, it was only natural that all of the corruption energy that had been here disappeared without a trace. It even seemed like this tunnel was much cleaner because it had been purified by the divine energy flames.

Looking back and forth, I didn’t actually move since I had no idea which way I was supposed to go.

That was until there was something that suddenly came out of nowhere.

I didn’t know where it came from, but my reactions were fast enough that I was able to put up a wall to block it. Though when I did block it, I could feel the force that came from the other side of the wall.

"Is that a sword?"

A strange look appeared on my face as I looked at the sword that was trying to pierce through the barrier that I had created. After all, I could tell from the force that this sword was coming at that there was something still pushing it forward.

It seemed like there was something that was controlling this sword to attack me and it was quite strong.

But in the end, it wasn’t enough to break through the barrier that I created.

"I don’t want to break this thing, but it seems like I have no choice."

Since it wasn’t stopping, the only thing that I could do was surround it and snap the sword.

Once the sword snapped, it was like a puppet that had its strings cut as it fell down.

Since it was in my barrier, I was able to catch it without any problems at all.

The others that jumped down with me came forward to see what it was that I had caught before asking, "What kind of sword is this?"

This was a style of sword that they hadn’t seen before, but I wasn’t the same.

However, it wasn’t as if I had ever seen this style of sword in the game before.

It was only because of my past life that I was able to recognize this style of sword.

But if it was what I thought it was, then that didn’t make sense at all.

"This is the completely wrong genre..."

Was this another one of those surprises that the God of Creation gave me?

Or was it that there was something else that had been sealed under the ground during the war of the gods?

I wanted to say that I would go alone, but I could see that they wouldn’t have accepted this.

Everyone was curious where this tunnel led and it wasn’t as if they would let me go alone. Though the main reason that they wouldn’t have let me go alone was because they wanted to stop me from monopolizing whatever was here.

So in the end, I had to bring them all along as I went in the direction the sword came from.
