The protagonist pursued an Apostle of Destruction, which attempted to escape by throwing corruption energy monsters. Using a special item to slow its pursuer and launching a barrage of corruption energy spikes, the Apostle was eventually forced out of hiding. Despite its boasts and attempts to distract, the Apostle was trapped by the protagonist's divine energy flames, only for a cry from behind to signal new incoming divine energy attacks.

Sensing these divine energy attacks coming from behind me, I was no longer as tense as I was before.

Since these divine energy attacks were flying through the air, it was clear that reinforcements had arrived. It wasn’t as if this was something that I had to do all on my own, so I could just leave this matter to them.

However, they didn’t just come from behind me.

The Apostle of Destruction didn’t give up on trying to escape when these relic users appeared, it just went in the opposite direction as it tried to run away from them.

The problem was that there were attacks that came from that direction as well.

It wasn’t as if they had been in that direction for no reason. It was because these people had gone to help the soldiers and old farmers that had been surrounded.

Even if they had been protected by the divine energy flames, it wasn’t as if it was a good thing for them to remain surrounded. There was no telling what would change or what the corruption energy monsters would do.

But since they were already safe, there was no reason for them not to come and help.

When it was completely surrounded like this, there really wasn’t anything that the Apostle of Destruction could do.

It relied on its one ability which was to dig into the ground in an attempt to find a place to escape. But what it didn’t expect was that I was already prepared for this as I had dug some of my divine energy flame swords into the ground.

The moment that the Apostle of Destruction tried to dig into the ground, these swords suddenly came out and stabbed right at it.

There was nothing that the Apostle of Destruction could do when facing these swords since it didn’t have any combat abilities at all.

So in the end, the Apostle of Destruction was trapped by these swords surrounding it.

The corruption energy monsters reacted to this and tried to save the Apostle of Destruction, but there was nothing that they could do. There were just too many reinforcements that had arrived, so they were swept away by all of the divine energy that was released.

When it was all over, there was only the Apostle of Destruction surrounded by divine energy that was left.

"Do you think that you’ll get away with this? You’re tainting the sanctuary that Lord Destruction created! How dare you heathens do something like this!"

Even when it was captured like this, it didn’t seem to lose hope even though it had acted like a coward previously.

Perhaps it was because it was a fanatic or perhaps it knew that there was nothing that it could do, but the Apostle of Destruction just completely refused to back down.

Regardless of what it wanted, it didn’t really matter.

After all, there was only one ending for this Apostle of Destruction now that it was caught.

When the relic users wanted to interrogate the Apostle of Destruction, that was when I stepped forward.

"I think that I should have first rights since I was here first."

That was what was said on the surface, but there was a much easier way to convince them.

Since they were divine relic users, it was only natural that they would be able to sense divine energy as well. Among those that used divine energy, it was only natural that some kind of hierarchy would be established.

With the divine energy that I possessed, it was easy for me to convince them by secretly showing them a bit of it.

"Where did this high rank relic user come from?" That was all that these people could think when they felt my divine energy.

Once I was alone with the Apostle of Destruction, I didn’t waste any time as I pulled out my tools.

"What is this?" The Apostle of Destruction asked in a shaky and confused voice.

It was worried and confused because of this unknown tool that I had pulled out.

But I didn’t say anything as I grabbed its hand and placed it on the thing that I took out.

"Did you come here to destroy this place?"

"Of course I did!" I ignored the rest of what it said since it was just going on about how great the God of Destruction was and how we were all heathens for not being able to see this.

Instead of wasting time arguing this, I asked, "Is there anything valuable here for you to attack this place?"

"You think too highly of yourself, human! How could anything you have be of value!"

I didn’t say anything in response as I waited to see if there was a response from the item, but it didn’t seem like anything was going to happen.

"Did the God of Destruction order you to attack this place?"

"I represent the will..."

This time, the Apostle of Destruction didn’t even get a chance to finish what it was saying as it was zapped by the thing that I placed its hand on.

This was a divine energy lie detector that I had created, so there was no need to doubt the efficacy of this thing. As long as it detected a lie, it would immediately zap the one that had their hand on it.

Seeing this, it seemed like we were getting somewhere even if the Apostle of Destruction didn’t seem to understand what was going on.

Regardless of whether it understood this or not, I kept asking it more and more questions.

From time to time there were more shocks that came from that item.

Once I finished asking these questions, I just turned around and left the Apostle of Destruction behind.

Not long after I was gone, I heard the screams of pain that came from behind me.

It wasn’t as if I would have any mercy for a fanatic like this that was determined to cause as much destruction as possible.
