Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2231: Simulation game? (2)

From my vantage point, these individuals didn't appear to possess any remarkable qualities either.
Unable to directly engage with them, my sole recourse was observation.
As I watched, it became evident that their existence was remarkably straightforward, almost rudimentary.
They seemed to merely gaze into the distance, lacking even the semblance of a dwelling.
The majority of the civilization under my watch appeared to reside in caves, subsisting on hunting and gathering.
Their primitive state was akin to witnessing the very genesis of civilization.
"So, it's not that I'm set up for failure, it's simply that I have no means of interacting with them..."
After all, a civilization at this nascent stage should be quite manageable to guide, given my foreknowledge of their developmental trajectory. My task would be to ensure they didn't stray onto detrimental paths, allowing them to progress autonomously.
The core issue remained: I still lacked any method of direct interaction.
With nothing to lose, I began tapping on the table, hoping to elicit some response or function. However, the screens remained entirely unresponsive.
It was precisely as I had surmised; they were nothing more than displays, windows into this world.
Even my physical interactions with them yielded no discernible outcome.
"Then, what am I meant to do here?" I inquired with a sigh, abandoning my attempts to tap the screens.
After surveying my surroundings, the only remaining idea was to attempt interaction using divine energy. I harbored no specific expectations; my sole aim was to ascertain if this divine energy could unveil any secrets about the screens.
"Boom!"
Before I could even process the event, a colossal bolt of lightning descended, striking the ground.
A conflagration quickly ignited, originating from a tree precisely where the lightning had struck.
Furthermore, the impact was alarmingly close to one of the primitive human tribes.
Observing through the screen, I noted their palpable terror at the sudden celestial event. Yet, a flicker of curiosity also surfaced among some regarding the fiery aftermath.
Given the absence of rain, there was nothing to quell the burgeoning flames.
As they fixated on the blaze, their eyes seemed to gleam with an unfamiliar light.
Prior to this, they had consumed their sustenance raw, having never employed flames for cooking. The very concept of harnessing fire was alien to them.
However, the sight of this inferno before them appeared to spark inspiration.
Several individuals gathered branches, placing them near the burning tree. As they did, the flames leaped from the tree, consuming the branches they held.
Although they had discovered a method to gather the flames, they remained clueless as to their practical application. This was an entirely novel phenomenon, one they had yet to decipher.
Nevertheless, an awareness of fire had at least been established.
While this unfolded, my gaze shifted to the point on the screen where my finger had made contact.
It was because my finger had touched the screen that the bolt of lightning had fallen. This confirmed that a means of interacting with this world existed.
However, if every interaction I initiated resulted in a downpour of lightning, it would hardly serve my ultimate objective.
I needed to determine if I could regulate my interactions, to wield this power for creation rather than devastation.
The sole clue I had managed to uncover thus far was...
"It's connected to divine energy, isn't it?"
Thus far, however, my only discernible capability seemed to be 'divine smite'.
This indeed felt like an ability befitting a deity, but it offered no practical assistance in my current predicament.
"Less divine energy, more spread out?"
Upon enacting this, a peculiar interface materialized, eliciting a surprised expression from me.
After all, this was an interface I recognized with considerable familiarity.
"Is this some sort of simulation game?"
It bore a striking resemblance to those old simulation games, presenting a variety of operational options. The issue was that none of these readily applied to the current situation, given the civilization's underdeveloped state.
"What am I even supposed to do with this?"
That was the extent of my contemplation as I examined some of the more unusual options available.
It wasn't as though I wished to unleash monsters upon them.
Those were typically features added to embellish older games, offering no utility in my present circumstances.
After a period of deliberation, I channeled divine energy into the screen once more.
As anticipated, the on-screen buttons shifted according to my intent.
Indeed, the divine energy proved to be the crucial element in controlling this interface.
Still, a peculiar sensation arose from manipulating the inhabitants of this realm. For a fleeting instant, it truly mirrored the actions of a divine being. Yet, these musings were promptly dismissed as focus shifted back to the immediate reality. "While these individuals are strangers, I must fulfill my obligations to my own people. I shall commit myself entirely to their cause, at the very least."
