After figuring out a new technique by observing Alidus' domain, the protagonist tests the resulting divine energy dagger on a specially made training dummy. The dagger pierces it with ease, overloading the dummy's sensors and leaving a massive hole, proving to be a powerful new weapon though difficult to form.

Naturally, the commotion had Max's attention. He was, after all, the creator of the training dummy that was involved.

Simultaneously, however, his research into divine energy had consumed him ever since he first learned of its existence, driving him to uncover its origins.

Yet, divine energy was not a product of the mortal realm, making it exceedingly difficult for a mortal like Max to grasp its true nature.

Despite this, he was a mad genius, particularly in his studies of divine energy, managing to uncover secrets that had eluded everyone else.

The very existence of the training dummy capable of measuring divine energy was a testament to this, an innovation previously unimagined by mortals.

Therefore, if anyone could discern what had transpired, it was undoubtedly Max.

"I haven't the faintest idea what I'm observing," was all Max could utter after his examination of the dagger was complete.

A wry smile played on my lips at his admission. I had hoped he might at least elucidate the effects of such concentrated divine energy, but it appeared he was utterly stumped.

Perceiving my expression, Max added, "This is unlike anything I've ever encountered before."

Hearing this, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in his direction.

However, Max didn't linger on my reaction, turning his gaze toward Alidus with palpable interest, causing a shiver to race down Alidus's spine.

Nevertheless, Alidus ultimately acquiesced to Max's experiments.

Max understood that the inspiration for my dagger's technique stemmed from Alidus's domain, which explained his newfound curiosity directed there.

"That's a remarkably intriguing application of your divine energy," Max commented after analyzing Alidus's domain.

His tone suggested he had indeed made some headway in his analysis and gleaned insights into Alidus's domain.

What held our genuine interest, however, was the stacking effect.

"It's merely a straightforward principle of combining one and one, though the outcome is certainly greater than simple addition. This isn't novel; it's akin to spells that meld different elemental energies," I explained.

Max paused before adding, "Although, it is surprising to witness each of these divine energy strands acting as an independent entity, capable of stacking in this fashion."

His analytical prowess, evident in his effortless deconstruction of the divine energy, truly solidified his status as a mad genius in such matters.

It was only when concerning my domain that the situation shifted.

"I haven't the faintest idea what I'm observing."

A perplexed expression dawned on my face at his repetition, and I met his gaze, an eyebrow lifted in questioning. Yet, no matter how I looked at Max, he seemed devoid of any explanation.

It was clear this enigma had truly vexed him, and his inability to solve it visibly irked him, as if it were a personal affront to his pride.

Given this, I found myself at a loss for words.

"Is there nothing at all you can tell me about it?" I pressed, hoping for even the slightest crumb of information regarding my domain.

"It's divine energy."

The manner in which he stated it almost implied mockery, yet I knew better. His words conveyed his genuine bewilderment and inability to comprehend the phenomenon.

After a prolonged silence, Max added, "It is divine energy that behaves in a manner entirely divergent from any I have previously encountered."

His gaze remained fixed on the dagger I presented.

As he spoke, a growing excitement seemed to emanate from him.

It was as if he perceived something fundamentally different, something that triggered a profound realization. A sliver of apprehension pricked at me, stemming from the peculiar intensity of his expression.

His fervent focus was, frankly, rather unsettling.

Taking a steadying breath, I inquired, "What is your assessment of it?"

Max remained silent initially, his attention absorbed by the instruments he was using to examine the dagger.

Only after a considerable pause did he finally speak, "It appears to be approaching some form of origin."

I regarded him with a look of bewilderment but ultimately remained silent.

A part of me harbored the hope that he was jesting, yet I knew Max would never trifle with matters of such gravity.

Max, a scholar wholly devoted to the study of divine energy, approached all matters concerning it with utmost seriousness.

However, this dedication carried a grim implication.

The genesis of this world traced back to the God of Creation, and to pursue the very origins of this realm would place him in direct opposition to this divine entity.

Clearly, this world could not accommodate two Gods of Creation.

Ultimately, this conflict would necessitate the elimination of one of them...
