The protagonist tested his domain against the saintess and others, nullifying their abilities with knowledge from his past life. He reflected on how knowledge and belief strengthened his domain, then faced Alidus, who surprised him by revealing a completely unlocked domain.

Just a moment ago, he was standing right before my eyes.

Then, in the blink of an eye, he completely vanished without a trace.

Even with my enhanced senses, I had no clue where Alidus had disappeared to.

It was as if he dissolved into thin air, the way he dematerialized so suddenly.

Thankfully, my domain was active, otherwise, who knows what disastrous outcome would have occurred.

Because my domain encompassed the area, I was able to sense the impact when his own domain collided with mine, allowing me to erect defenses. Although, the defense I managed to put up was more of a general reaction rather than a precise counter.

Despite feeling the presence of his domain, I remained unaware of Alidus's exact location as I couldn't match his incredible speed.

Following the impact, I could clearly discern that several of the weapons I had summoned to intercept the attack had been utterly shattered. The sheer force accompanying that swing was far more potent than anything Alidus had exhibited previously.

Yet, I understood that it wasn't solely his speed that lent such power to that strike.

"I know his domain enhances his physical capabilities, but can it truly boost them by such an extent?"

Honestly, I hadn't anticipated much from Alidus, but this single, decisive swing had completely disproven my low expectations.

After successfully blocking that powerful swing, I sensed his domain receding.

A few daggers materialized, which I promptly launched towards the fading sensation, but they struck nothing. He had already vanished before the daggers could even exit the perimeter of my domain.

Without any discernible sensation, I was utterly clueless about Alidus's whereabouts.

After a few tense seconds, another strike slammed down, seemingly originating from the exact same location.

Logically, one would anticipate an attack from a different angle, and that was precisely what my opponent expected me to think. This element of surprise is what briefly caught me off guard when he attacked the same spot again.

"He's counting on the fact that I won't expect it," I murmured with a wry smile.

Nevertheless, in the end, I managed to block it because my domain's core principle relied on rapid responses in the first place.

A lesson learned the hard way.

Knowing that I couldn't keep up with his raw speed, the sole viable strategy was to attempt to track him through his domain's presence. The only way to perceive him was by reacting to the moment his domain inevitably clashed with mine.

And so, I expanded my domain's influence as widely as I possibly could.

At this juncture, the only function my domain could serve was as a rudimentary sensor network, alerting me to Alidus's movements.

By transforming my domain into this kind of early warning system, I was at least equipped to react to every single one of Alidus's assaults, even if my eyes couldn't visually track his blinding speed.

However, as time wore on, I could sense his attacks becoming progressively faster.

It was as though, even amidst this ongoing battle, he was continuously evolving his domain's powers, elevating them to an entirely new level.

But this doesn't imply that I was standing still either.

Recognizing that the only effective approach was to establish a tracking system, I diligently constructed a robust defensive network. Numerous weapons were strategically positioned throughout my domain, poised to act at a moment's notice.

These weapons were distinctly different from those I had conjured previously.

In fact, these newly manifested weapons possessed significantly greater strength than the ones I had created casually before.

While they sacrificed the instantaneous appearance capability, they undeniably gained enough resilience to withstand Alidus's onslaught without shattering.

With this strengthened defensive net in place, I successfully repelled all the diverse attacks launched at me from various angles.

For a considerable period, Alidus persisted in his assault, undeterred by the fact that every single one of his attacks was being thwarted.

Eventually, however, he ceased his assault and materialized directly before me, evidently realizing the futility of breaching my defenses.

A faint, wry smile played on his lips as he reappeared, but I felt that expression should have belonged to me. After all, I had initially underestimated Alidus entirely, and he had subsequently proven me profoundly wrong.

"You could have at least let one of those attacks slip through," he remarked with a slight pout after revealing himself.

"How did your speed increase so drastically?" I inquired, choosing to forgo any further playful banter.

This sudden and dramatic surge in both speed and power had not only caught me by surprise but also ignited a deep sense of curiosity within me. I genuinely hadn't believed Alidus capable of unleashing such a formidable level of power.

"It's not particularly impressive; I simply focused on exploiting my domain's inherent specialty."

It sounded like a straightforward explanation, yet I couldn't shake the feeling that the reality was far more complex.

Which is precisely why I stated, "Allow me to examine your domain more closely."

If anyone else had posed such a request, Alidus would have found it exceedingly difficult to comply. After all, an individual's domain is an intensely personal and unique manifestation, and permitting someone to scrutinize it so openly would undoubtedly constitute a significant breach of privacy.

It represented one's ultimate trump card, something not easily revealed to just anyone.

Yet, Alidus's faith in me was unwavering, prompting him to deactivate his domain and patiently await my judgment. He stood as though expectant, ready for my critique of his domain or a command to showcase its might.

"Just a simple swing," I instructed after a measured observation of his domain.

Despite my focus, the passive currents of divine energy offered no unique insights into its nature.

Alidus acknowledged my directive with a nod before complying.

As he executed the swing, my gaze sharpened, observing his domain intently.

"So, this is how it is. It transforms like this when you brandish your weapon..."
