Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2173: Scattering them
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
For several days, while I was occupied with preparations, the racial alliance had not been idle either.
Aware of an impending assault on the forces of Destruction, they had been mustering their own strength.
However, the gathering was not about sheer numbers.
Instead, the focus was on assembling individuals possessing the greatest power.
As the forces of Destruction were not susceptible to defeat by mere numbers alone, those who had been gathered were the ones capable of countering the corruption energy.
The reinforcements dispatched to aid the Kite Kingdom were now entrenched within the capital, effectively trapped. Even if they wished to sally forth, it was an impossibility, unable to breach the defenses manned by War and the surrounding forces of Destruction.
Without their presence, those remaining capable of confronting the forces of Destruction were significantly diminished in strength.
This necessitated the convergence of all those who could still stand against the encroaching threat.
Upon surveying the assembled forces, I recognized our weakened state compared to what we once were.
After all, the majority of our combat power was confined within the capital city.
If we harbored any hope of succeeding, our reliance must be placed entirely on the meticulously laid plans I had devised.
As the architect of these preparations, I took it upon myself to demonstrate their efficacy to the assembled allied factions.
Witnessing the mechanics of these preparations, their reactions mirrored that of the popes. Crucially, this newfound understanding instilled a heightened confidence in their prospects of victory.
They had never encountered such weaponry before, and its inherent power served as a potent source of reassurance.
It was indeed something that seemed capable of achieving their ultimate objectives.
Yet, prior to the commencement of hostilities, there was a singular directive I ensured was understood by all present.
"Your sole objective is to disperse them, not engage in direct combat. There is no necessity to jeopardize your lives for this endeavor."
Every individual comprehended the directive and voiced their assent. Nevertheless, I detected an undercurrent of doubt on their countenances. Even with my instruction to simply scatter the enemy, it was unlikely they truly believed I could inflict any real harm upon War.
Once the monsters spawned from corruption energy were dispersed, the only remaining entity would be War himself.
They all bore the grim recollection of the previous encounter...
Despite their reservations, they ultimately chose to place their faith in my judgment.
This decision stemmed primarily from the stark reality that they were left with no viable alternative.
As the capital came into view, the assembled forces dispersed to finalize their preparations for the impending assault.
Each contingent proceeded to strategically position the items I had furnished, awaiting the designated signal.
The instant the signal was given...
"Boom, boom, boom!"
A series of resounding explosions erupted amidst the corruption energy monsters, but these were no ordinary detonations. The moment these explosions manifested, the corruption energy monsters simply vanished.
This miraculous disappearance was attributable to the flames emanating from these explosions, which were infused with divine energy. Consequently, the corruption energy monsters were purged upon contact with these purifying flames.
The efficacy was so profound that the corruption energy monsters lacked any opportunity to react.
This represented divine energy of the highest caliber, capable of producing such a transformative effect.
Due to the nature of these explosions, the cohesive lines of corruption energy monsters were irrevocably shattered. Regrouping was rendered impossible with the lingering flames of divine energy interposing themselves.
Furthermore, even corruption energy monsters situated away from the initial blasts were purified. These appeared to have been impacted by some form of collateral damage, vanishing from various locations.
The way holes materialized on their forms suggested they had been pierced through by an unseen force.
In essence, I had engineered a divine explosive device.
These devices were deployed into the heart of the corruption energy monster hordes, obliterating vast swaths of their numbers.
Through this decisive action, the forces of Destruction were scattered, and the path forward was cleared.
However, I withheld my own advance, as my intended target remained elusive.
Despite the diligent efforts of numerous scouts, we had been utterly unsuccessful in locating the target.
This compelled me to initiate the plan even without confirmed knowledge of the target's whereabouts. Our only recourse was to hope that the ensuing events would draw the target out.
Yet, the manner in which this unfolded deviated from our expectations.
"I knew you were still alive. I knew you would come."
As this voice resounded, an unnerving chill permeated the very being of everyone present, myself included.
After all, it was a voice that proved exceptionally difficult to ever forget. The very voice which had plunged me into such distress and subsequently driven me from this domain echoed once more. One could argue, however, that it was this very banishment that led me to discover the third inheritance. Nevertheless, my resentment burned fiercely regarding the turn of events between myself and the owner of that voice. It was precisely for retribution that I found myself standing here. Yet, the unfolding of events diverged from my expectations. The instant the voice ceased, a formidable figure emerged from the surging tide of corrupted energy beasts. This individual, astride a horse, advanced to confront me, eliciting a grimace of bitterness across my features.
