A sabertooth tiger pounced at a young Sorcery Empire magician, who blocked it with a barrier and engulfed it in flames, forcing the beast to submit. An older magician then tamed the creature effortlessly, allowing the group to observe it closely and note its unfamiliarity with magic. As they prepared to continue their exploration, a thunderous roar and heavy footsteps announced the arrival of a massive dinosaur, shocking the others.

Even though the sudden emergence of the T-Rex stunned them, they weren’t clueless about how to react.

They didn’t believe for a moment that it would overpower them.

Knights drew their swords as magicians lifted their staffs.

Recognizing the threat they presented, the T-Rex barreled ahead to confront them.

The single drawback was that its strength fell short of the knights and magicians.

It might have been different if mana had empowered it, but lacking any prior exposure to such forces, its might was inferior even to the beasts wandering the surface world.

At most, this T-Rex ranked as an oversized creature.

To knights and magicians who battled real monsters, this T-Rex offered no danger whatsoever.

"Roar!"

A bewildered bellow erupted from the T-Rex as two knights stepped up to halt it.

Nothing elaborate from the knights—they simply seized its legs and blocked the charge. Pure physical prowess alone sufficed to fully counter the T-Rex’s momentum.

With the T-Rex halted, surrounding and gripping it became trivial for the other knights. Their collective strength rendered it powerless as they hoisted it skyward.

Up into the air the T-Rex went, spun wildly, then smashed brutally onto the ground.

Regaining awareness of the ordeal, the T-Rex found itself sprawled face-first on the earth, sharp agony radiating from its spine due to the savage slam.

Under the knights’ restraint, the T-Rex had zero recourse.

Its hulking build proved useless against these mana-infused knights.

Awkward expressions crossed the magicians’ faces after their grand preparations yielded nothing—the knights acted so swiftly that spells remained unfinished.

Yet the confrontation raged on.

The T-Rex’s arrival was like popping a cork, unleashing a flood of diverse dinosaurs.

Carnivores, omnivores, herbivores.

Dinosaurs of every variety swarmed around us, summoned by the T-Rex’s racket.

One shared trait united them: predatory stares treating us as trespassers, their blatant hostility impossible to miss.

Some surged forward with clear attack intent, while others hung back to assess the situation.

Knights wasted no moment, lunging at the dinosaurs.

They detected zero mana emanating from the beasts.

Devoid of mana, these were merely enormous animals.

Thus, they brimmed with confidence to overwhelm every dinosaur advancing on us.

This spectacle twisted my expression into something peculiar.

"Medieval fantasy knights clashing with dinosaurs... this truly isn’t a sight one encounters daily..."

But the action didn’t stop there.

Abundant foes now available, magicians wasted no time chanting their incantations.

The knights and magicians accompanying me shared a silent rapport, forged from extended service at my side.

This allowed flawless teamwork without uttering a word.

"Block it!"

Knights advanced to intercept the charging dinosaurs.

Their united efforts built an impenetrable barrier, denying dinosaurs any proximity to us.

Repeating the prior feat—flipping and slamming the T-Rex—was impossible amid the sudden numerical disadvantage from the dinosaur swarm.

No matter their desire, piling onto individuals like before wasn’t feasible.

They spread thin to keep dinosaurs at a distance.

"Aim carefully! Don’t hit our allies!"

Spells instantly soared over knights’ heads, smashing into the dinosaurs ahead. Their massive forms guaranteed unerring strikes.

Equally, their size negated risks of spell fallout reaching comrades.

Varied spells pummeled the onrushing dinosaurs, toppling every one.

Magicians’ prowess demanded respect.

Soon a perimeter of fallen dinosaurs ringed them, none upright after the barrage.

These casualties formed a makeshift barricade.

They held back from slaying the dinosaurs, lacking cause to do so.

Not from incapacity, but obedience to my directive.

"Don’t kill them for now, we don’t know what will happen if we provoke this place."

All nodded in agreement, devoting efforts solely to stunning the dinosaurs.
