Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2115: Sending it away (1)
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
Their stares fixed on Undine revealed exactly what thoughts were racing through the minds of the water elementals.
However, this was far from anything Undine desired...
Unlike the water elementals, Undine's gaze toward me screamed its burning wish to flee this spot right away. It had no intention of wasting even one more moment here among the water elementals.
I shared the same reluctance to remain, given that I couldn't stay submerged indefinitely like this.
Maintaining this water bubble demanded tremendous effort from Undine, and sustaining it endlessly was utterly impossible.
That's precisely why I declared, "We’ll be just above and we’ll come down every day to help inject divine energy into the source."
Disappointment flickered across the water elementals' faces at my words, yet Undine offered them no opportunity to respond.
Without hesitation, Undine propelled the water bubble upward, guiding it swiftly toward the surface.
All the water elementals could manage was to gaze helplessly as we vanished from sight.
While ascending, I shot Undine a raised-eyebrow glance.
Undine avoided my eyes initially, but soon twisted around to shoot me a stare that spoke volumes.
In the end, I held my tongue with Undine, though my own pointed look conveyed my feelings perfectly.
Upon surfacing, the others instantly encircled me. Worry etched their expressions, which was hardly surprising after my prolonged dive.
Thus, I recounted the events below and promised to take them down later. With the water elementals now located, Undine's power would make escorting them effortless.
Yet Undine's expression betrayed its reluctance to comply.
Undine clearly wished to keep the others in the dark about its treatment by the water elementals.
Nevertheless, this remained the sole method to soothe their anxieties.
Therefore, it simply had to happen.
...
"Thank goodness for this island; otherwise, we'd truly lack a spot to rest."
The terrain overhead brimmed with volcanoes.
Heat by itself was manageable, but surrounding volcanoes posed a grave threat. Who knew the chaos if one erupted without warning?
Hence, camping amid such volcanic hazards would be far too perilous for us.
That said, a quick scan showed this island was rather small.
Even so, I discovered a secluded spot perfect for solitary experimentation.
The group initially insisted on tagging along, but I persuaded them to grant me solo time. They understood my need for space after their constant shadowing, so they relented.
My persuasive tone certainly sealed the deal.
Alone at last, I retrieved the orb and clutched it briefly.
Yet moments later, I stowed it away and summoned divine energy into my palm.
Divine energy gathered, I thrust my hand forward, mimicking a projection into the distance.
"Why isn’t this working?"
The divine energy refused to channel as I intended; I sensed it clearly.
I wasn't clueless about the process, having replicated it before with the orb directing divine energy into the whirlpool. The issue now? No conduit or target existed.
I'd assumed the prior sensation would suffice to master it.
Evidently, that assumption proved wrong.
"I guess I really did overestimate myself." A wry smile tugged at my lips as I uttered this, pulling out the orb again.
Still, I refrained from employing the orb for my goal.
Rather, I concentrated on the feeling of channeling divine energy through the orb.
My aim was to wield divine energy independently of the orb. Sure, the orb could replicate the result, but future uncertainties loomed.
Mastering divine energy sans the orb would be ideal.
Moreover, this exercise promised deeper insights into divine energy manipulation.
Hence, I persisted with this practice.
Orb in one hand, divine energy in the other, I gradually pinpointed the key disparity.
The orb bridged divine energy to realms beyond my direct command.
In essence, divine energy grew wilder the farther it strayed from its summoner.
"Well, divine energy isn’t something that should exist in the mortal world in the first place. So it would only make sense that it would lose control after leaving the one that forced it into this mortal plane."
To put it in contemporary lingo, the orb functioned like a WiFi hotspot, expanding my dominion range.
