Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2082: Strange design

Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
Shota made contact with the red gem, channeling his divine energy into it and carefully controlling the flow as it began to grow. Recognizing the flame elementals' situation as more dire than the rock elementals', he pushed beyond his usual limits to infuse extra energy, easing the worried expressions on their faces. The elder thanked him but declined to hold a ceremony yet, stating the source needed to strengthen further. Unable to withstand the intense heat, Shota departed temporarily, returning over three days to continue the infusion, which filled the flame elementals with growing hope. On the fourth day, they finally decided to take action.

Every time I set out to infuse divine energy into the red gem, the flame elemental elders made sure to accompany me.

Yet, I sensed it wasn't simply about leading me to the spot.

Nor was it merely to witness the red gem's growth and the hopes it carried.

Their watchful gaze on the red gem during my infusion process felt like a careful check on its well-being.

That's why, on the fourth day, the flame elemental elder declared, “It’s big enough now.”

Excitement lit up the faces of the other flame elementals at those words, and they hurried off to handle their tasks.

I shot the flame elemental elder a raised eyebrow, silently questioning the situation, but it paid no mind to my curious stare.

The elder's focus remained locked on the red gem, which continued expanding as I poured in more divine energy.

Soon enough, the rest of the flame elemental village gathered, summoned by those who had departed earlier. I also spotted that many carried items in their grasp.

These flame-made objects puzzled me at first, but they appeared to be preparations for a ritual of some kind.

The elder had claimed no ceremony would occur, yet here they were, hauling things for one. Clearly, whatever issue had held them back was now resolved.

With all flame elementals assembled, they dove straight into arranging everything.

Still, the setup unfolded in a way I hadn't anticipated.

Rather than preparing inside the crystal chamber, they arranged it all outside, near the magma flow. They even created special vents in the chamber walls to access the magma.

These vents worked one way only, letting them exit while keeping the magma sealed inside.

I hadn't realized such access points existed in the crystal chamber, but it made sense coming from the flame elementals. They'd inhabited this place far longer than I had, so their knowledge of its secrets was no surprise.

Once preparations were complete, the flame elemental elder turned to me, seeming ready to speak.

So, I paused my infusion and waited patiently for its words.

Noticing I'd halted the divine energy flow, the flame elemental elder explained, “We’re about to hold a ceremony, the one you inquired about before. It’ll be too risky for you to stay here, so please come with me to a secure spot.”

This caught me off guard, though I was eager to witness their upcoming ritual. Thus, I replied simply, “But I want to observe.”

“We want you to observe as well.” The flame elemental elder surprised me again with that, then added, “I’m leading you to a safe spot from where you can watch the ceremony. It would be our honor to have the god’s representative witness our rite.”

Sincerity filled its tone completely, leaving me feeling all the more bewildered.

Nevertheless, I trailed after the flame elemental elder as it guided the path ahead.

It wasn't long before we arrived at the designated viewing area.

Still, I couldn't hide a puzzled expression upon seeing it.

“This is a very strange design...”

That phrase echoed in my thoughts as the door to this observation room swung open.

Crafted from crystal, it formed part of the massive crystal tank. I'd overlooked it before because the transparent crystals concealed the empty space within.

The closer I examined it, the less logical its placement seemed.

For starters, why build an observation room right in the chamber designed to house the red gem?

The deeper I pondered, the more I yearned to understand what the designer had in mind when crafting this area. It struck me as if functionality took a backseat to mere aesthetics...

Ultimately, I entered the space in silence, noting the thrilled expressions on the flame elementals' faces.

Though questions burned in my mind, I figured they had other priorities. Their attention wasn't on me but wholly on readying the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the flame elementals in the surrounding magma busied themselves with the arrangements.

Given their numbers, the setup wrapped up quickly. And they pulled out all the stops, creating an elaborate display that spared no effort.

Clearly, they aimed to craft the grandest ceremony imaginable through such lavish preparations.

Understanding the elder's concerns, I assured it, “Go on and take care of the ceremony. You don’t need to worry about me.”

Hearing this, the flame elemental elder nodded once before sealing the chamber door behind me and returning to the red gem.
