Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2056: Elementals
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
The tiny stone being clutched in my palm ultimately failed to respond to that query.
It simply gazed upward at me, appearing to await my reply to the question it had posed.
Thus, with a heavy sigh, I declared, "I’m the representative of the gods sent here to aid you." Then, in a quieter tone, I added, "It’s not like I fully grasp how I’m meant to provide that help."
"Representative of the gods?" The familiar voice echoed once again.
Clearly, they focused solely on their own curiosities, showing no interest in addressing my inquiries whatsoever.
Yet, truthfully, they had little obligation to reveal anything to me.
Following a brief pause, the small stone entity in my grasp began wriggling anew, as though eager to take some action.
I remained uncertain about its intentions, yet this time I refrained from intervening.
Having caught the nuance in its repetition of my words, I trusted that the creature wouldn’t resort to anything odd. Curiosity burned within me regarding its next move.
Without departing from my side, the little stone being scaled up onto my palm and positioned itself there. Its stare fixed on my hand suggested it sought something particular.
It appeared intent on accessing the back of my hand, where the Mark of God resided, so I gradually rotated my hand to grant it access.
As my hand shifted, it trudged along until arriving at the spot bearing the Mark of God.
The tiny stone entity lingered there, examining the Mark of God intently for a moment before abruptly extending its minuscule stone limb toward it.
Upon touching the Mark of God, a peculiar bond instantly formed that I could sense.
As anticipated, a bizarre divine power emanated from this small stone being.
A portion of me had foreseen this, given that the gods had dispatched me to this hidden realm, concealed by a vast array from the outside world.
Consequently, anything dwelling here must possess some link to the divine.
Regarding the precise nature of that link...
At minimum, these small stone beings could evidently converse with us, opening the door to potential dialogue and the extraction of valuable insights.
Provided, of course, they chose to cooperate.
Once it appeared content with its discovery, the little stone creature lost all fascination with the Mark of God on my hand's reverse, leaping away abruptly.
The remaining stone beings advanced to encircle it upon witnessing the descent, murmuring among themselves in what looked like a heated discussion of its findings.
Eventually, their conference concluded, and they pivoted as if preparing to depart.
For our bewildered group, uncertainty gripped us in this bizarre turn of events.
However, they quickly wheeled back toward us and uttered, "Come with us. We’ll show you to our village."
Klein and the royal guards instinctively turned to me, their eyes seeking guidance on our course of action.
I was equally at a loss initially, as this scenario lay far beyond my prior experiences. Though I sensed some trial-related purpose here that demanded my assistance, I couldn’t confirm if these stone beings were central to it.
Ultimately, I decided pursuing them offered more promise than idling cluelessly in place.
In the direst circumstances, we could always battle our escape.
After all, these little stone creatures struck me as far from formidable, despite their numbers.
Thus, I guided our party ahead, trailing the stone beings.
As we progressed, I couldn’t resist inquiring again, "What are you?"
This time around, they finally seemed inclined to respond.
"We’re rock elementals."
"Elementals?" I echoed in bewilderment, yet that was the extent of their forthcoming revelation.
Still, I noted the odd glances they shot my way as I repeated the term.
It was like they failed to comprehend my confusion at all.
For them, elementals must have been an utterly ordinary existence.
For us humans, however, such beings remained completely unheard of.
Even I, familiar with this world from its game days, had no recollection of elementals in play.
This game lacked any elemental summoning mechanics like those in other titles; it featured only a spirit summoning system reliant on ethereal spiritual energy constructs.
Entities like the Spirit Kings I had bound were the norm there.
Hence, drawing such a clear line between elementals and spirits felt profoundly unusual.
Undeniably, though, they weren’t spirits, lacking the intangible forms typical of those beings.
Rather than ethereal wisps, their solid stone compositions marked them as worldly constructs, inseparable from the raw elements themselves.
