Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2045: It’s just an orb (2)

Their response didn't catch me off guard at all, as it lined up perfectly with the kind of reaction I'd predicted from them.
Visually speaking, this relic I possessed showed no standout qualities whatsoever.
It amounted to nothing more than a plain transparent sphere that nestled snugly into my palm.
This resembled one of those commonplace glass balls you could spot anywhere.
That's precisely why I figured disappointment would wash over them upon laying eyes on it.
In the final analysis, my hunch proved spot-on, judging by the disappointment in their voices and the way they eyed the orb clutched in my grip.
I had no hurry to flaunt its powers, knowing full well that its capabilities held zero flair either. Another round of letdown would surely follow once I revealed what it could do.
Yet in the end, they insisted on witnessing it for themselves.
With the children gazing up at me through enormous, pleading eyes, begging to see its function, I simply couldn't bring myself to refuse them.
Thus, I lifted the orb high and directed it toward the targets positioned ahead of me.
As I performed this action, a surge of energy burst forth from the orb, one too subtle for most to detect. Those with keener perceptions picked up on it, though it failed to astonish them since it was merely divine energy.
This orb had been forged using my own divine energy, making it inevitable that it carried the same essence.
However, as that divine energy began to transform, their faces twisted in unmistakable surprise.
Not only did those with acute senses shift their expressions, but the rest of the group also reacted with wide-eyed wonder once they beheld the emerging creation.
It went beyond a lone weapon; instead, a diverse array of armaments materialized.
A multitude of varied weapons popped into existence from nowhere, though in truth, the divine energy from the orb had shaped them into being.
This orb stemmed from creation divine energy, so naturally, it inherited the power to bring things into form.
With all these weapons now formed, they hurtled through the sky toward the awaiting targets. They fanned out flawlessly, weaving a web of blades that enclosed the objectives in their path.
That said, these weren't ordinary practice dummies by any means.
Given their lofty expectations, the group had set up the finest enchanted targets available, powered by mana stones to grant them mobility.
As the weapons closed in, mana coursed through the targets, propelling them skyward in a swift escape.
Once airborne, they darted aside, evading the incoming barrage of arms.
Just when it appeared the weapons might merely clash against one another, they halted abruptly, as if guided by an unseen force. Hovering briefly, they then pivoted sharply and locked onto the fleeing target.
With their aim fixed, they surged forward in perfect unison toward the evasive mark.
"What's happening here?" One onlooker blurted out in confusion at the sight.
"I'm the one controlling them. Since I brought them into existence, it's natural that I can guide them too." I clarified for the group before turning my attention back to pursuing the dodging target.
In that moment, I missed the odd glances they shot my way.
After directing the weapons to track the target, they plunged straight into it without fail.
The target's mobility had its bounds, limited by the embedded magic array. As soon as I employed more intricate maneuvers, pinning it down became a simple task.
This posed no challenge for me, given my direct command over the conjured weapons.
Upon impact, I flicked my hand, dissolving the weapons I'd summoned.
Having formed them from nothing, it stood to reason that I could erase them just as easily.
With the display concluded, I scanned the faces in the room, eager to gauge their responses.
Yet the reactions that greeted me fell far short of what I'd imagined.
Shock etched across every feature as they stared at the fallen targets on the floor, as though they refused to accept the scene before them.
Confusion gripped me, for the feat I'd shown off seemed utterly ordinary in my eyes.
Back in the game, this would barely qualify as golem magic.
Truly, such a trick held no real novelty.
"It's pretty dull, right?" I ventured cautiously after the silence stretched on.
My words drew incredulous stares from the entire group, as if they thought I'd lost my mind.
Klein was the first to respond, declaring, "How could this be dull? This power lets you dominate a battlefield single-handedly!"
"It's not that impressive; golem magic achieves the exact same effect." I attempted to downplay it.
But a researcher cut in right away, retorting, "Golem magic doesn't come close. It demands pre-set magic arrays to call forth a golem. It absolutely can't conjure items from thin air like you did. How could anyone equate the two?"
Undeniably, this researcher spoke with authority as a magician hailing from the Sorcery Empire.
As a result, the bewildered looks directed at me intensified following the magician's heated words.
This only deepened the sheepish expression creeping across my face.
