After Sophia was comforted by Marcus following an apparent betrayal by his friends, she led Marcus to a private suite she had prepared for an intimate evening. However, Marcus had to leave due to his parents, promising to return. Once he left, Sophia revealed a darker intention, anticipating Alex's arrival. Meanwhile, Alex left Regina and Luciana after their encounter and headed to the Crystal Ballroom, anticipating Sophia's game.

Alex walked through the bustling corridors with confident, unhurried steps, his hands casually tucked into his pockets. The convocation had ended, and excited students and guests filled the hallways, but their chatter barely registered in his mind.

He already knew exactly what awaited him inside the Crystal Ballroom.

Sophia’s desperate final gamble.

A faint, knowing smile played on his lips as he moved through the crowd. His thoughts drifted inward.

’Forgive her?’

’Yes... he was ready for that.’

The old wounds from their college days still existed, but he no longer wanted to carry them into his new life. Holding onto that bitterness served no purpose anymore.

He had grown far beyond the boy who once loved her. Forgiving Sophia would simply close that Chapter cleanly... a quiet end to an old story.

’But accepting her as a lover again?’

Alex’s steps slowed slightly as hesitation flickered in his chest.

’No.’

He could forgive her, but he would never forget those painful moments... the humiliation, the betrayal, the way she had thrown him away like trash in front of everyone.

Some scars didn’t need to be reopened. Forgiveness didn’t mean trust.

’But then how would he be physical with her without reopening those memories... while she looked him straight in the eyes? How could he touch her again without the past flooding back?’ The thought alone made his jaw tighten.

Lost in these thoughts, Alex turned a corner and suddenly collided hard with someone running at full speed.

"Fuck! Watch where you’re going, you idiot!"

A furious voice cursed loudly as the person stumbled back. He didn’t even stop to look... just glared briefly and kept running desperately down the hallway, disappearing around the next corner.

Alex’s eyes narrowed for a split second, then widened in recognition.

’Marcus.’

A slow, devilish smile spread across Alex’s face, dark and full of amusement.

"Oh... now I know exactly how," Alex murmured under his breath, his voice laced with cold satisfaction. "Just to see your face when you walk in."

The smile deepened into something truly predatory as he continued walking toward the grand doors of the Crystal Ballroom.

’Come back fast, Marcus...’ he thought, the smile never leaving his lips. ’I’ll be waiting for you with a good seat reserved.’

Alex finally stopped in front of the grand doors of the Crystal Ballroom.

The moment his eyes landed on the ornate entrance, a flood of painful memories crashed over him like a tidal wave. The humiliation. The betrayal. The ring he had prepared that day.

For a brief second, his jaw tightened.

He shook his head slowly, pushing the ghosts back into the past where they belonged. A faint, knowing smile returned to his lips.

"She really did choose the best place," he murmured to himself. "The same ballroom where everything started... and where it will finally end."

Taking a calm breath, Alex pushed the heavy doors open and stepped inside.

The sight that greeted him made even him pause for a moment.

The ballroom was breathtakingly prepared... soft golden lights, fresh flowers in deep red and gold, silk sheets on the central couch, chilled wine, and an atmosphere dripping with seduction and romance.

In one corner near the large glass window stood Sophia Blackwood.

She looked stunning and vulnerable at the same time. The deep crimson dress clung to her curves like a second skin, the plunging neckline revealing the soft swell of her breasts and the high slit exposing one long, toned leg.

Her long hair cascaded in soft waves, and though she had fixed her makeup, faint traces of earlier tears still made her eyes slightly red and glossy.

The moment Sophia saw him, her expression shifted. Nervousness and raw expectation flickered across her face. For a few seconds she simply stared at him, as if afraid he might turn around and leave again.

Then, with slow, hesitant steps, she began walking toward him.

Alex remained standing at the doorway, watching her approach in silence. His face was calm, almost unreadable.

Sophia stopped right in front of him.

Without a word, she gently reached out and took his hand in both of hers. Her fingers were slightly cold, trembling with emotion as she held on tightly, looking up into his eyes with a mix of fear, regret, and desperate hope.

"Alex..." she whispered, her voice barely audible. "You came..."

Sophia stood close, her fingers trembling as they slowly roamed over Alex’s collar, then slid down to rest against his firm chest. She could feel his heartbeat.

"I know how bad I was... and how deeply I hurt you," she whispered, voice thick with emotion. "I won’t ask for your forgiveness. I don’t deserve it."

Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she looked up at him.

"But please... just give me these few hours with you. That’s all I’m begging for. Please don’t push me away again..."

She slowly leaned in, her trembling lips inching closer to his, her breath warm and desperate against his mouth.

Alex’s gaze locked onto her needy, hopeful eyes and those quivering lips. For a split second, the old pain flickered in his mind.

’What the fuck are you doing?’ an inner voice hissed. ’Why are you treating her as if she’s someone special? She is just another girl for you now.’

The voice grew sharper. ’Do you want to ruin everything? Don’t you want revenge on Marcus? Why hesitate?’

Alex’s lips curved into a small, cold smile.

’It’s just sex,’ he told himself calmly. ’Nothing more. She’s just another warm body who happens to be useful right now.’

Without another word, he moved forward and captured her lips.

The moment their mouths met, years of suppressed tension exploded between them. Sophia let out a soft, desperate moan into his mouth as she pressed herself desperately against him.

The kiss was raw, devouring... as if both of them had been starving for this their entire lives. Her hands clutched his shirt tightly, pulling him closer, while Alex’s hand slid to the back of her neck, holding her in place.

Their lips moved with urgent need, tongues tangling hotly, teeth grazing in the heat of the moment.

Sophia kissed him like a woman drowning, pouring every ounce of regret, obsession, and longing into it. Alex matched her intensity, his other hand gripping her waist possessively, pulling her body flush against his as the kiss deepened even further... wet, messy, and filled with raw hunger.

Sophia was the first to break the kiss, pulling back just enough to gasp for air. Her chest heaved rapidly, lips swollen and glistening.

Her eyes had turned glossy with overwhelming lust and all of the pent-up desire, pouring out in that single desperate kiss. She looked at Alex like a woman on the verge of losing control.

She hadn’t had enough.

With a needy whimper, Sophia captured his lips again... this time even more hungrily. Her hands slid up to cup his face as she pressed her body fully against him, kissing him with raw, almost frantic passion.

Without thinking, she jumped slightly and wrapped her long legs tightly around his waist, clinging to him like she was afraid he might disappear.

The high slit of her crimson dress rode up her thighs as she locked her ankles behind his back, pulling him even closer. Her tongue danced desperately with his, moaning softly into his mouth as if this was the only thing keeping her alive.

Alex held her up effortlessly, one hand supporting her ass while the other stayed firm on her back. He matched her intensity, but his mind remained clear and controlled. The kiss was deep, wet, and messy... full of Sophia’s obsession and regret.

When they finally parted again, both were breathing hard. Sophia’s forehead rested against his, her glossy eyes half-lidded with lust as she panted softly. Her legs remained wrapped tightly around his waist, refusing to let go.

"Alex..." she whispered breathlessly, voice trembling with emotion. "I’ve missed this... I’ve missed you so much."

Her fingers gently traced his jaw as she looked at him with pure, desperate longing, still clinging to him like he was her entire world.

Sophia slowly unwrapped her legs from around his waist, sliding down his body until her feet touched the floor. She was still breathing heavily, cheeks flushed and lips swollen from the intense kiss.

Without letting go of him completely, she took his hand in both of hers, interlacing their fingers tightly as if afraid he might slip away.

"Come with me," she whispered, voice soft yet filled with desperate hope. "I’ve prepared so much for you today... everything. Please... let me show you."

Alex gave a small nod, his expression calm and unreadable. He allowed her to lead him deeper into the ballroom, their fingers still intertwined.

As they walked, the full extent of the destruction became visible... shattered furniture, cracked marble tiles, faint bloodstains on the floor, and overturned decorations. Sophia’s steps faltered for a moment. She looked at the chaos with genuine regret in her eyes.

"I’m sorry about all this..." she said quietly, squeezing his hand.

Alex glanced at the wreckage, a faint, knowing smile playing on his lips.

He already knew exactly what had transpired here — the fight, Marcus’s rage, Sophia’s careful orchestration.

"It’s fine," he replied softly, his tone carrying a hint of dark amusement. "I understand."
