Elyria Voss, a leader of the Sacred Order, personally meets Alex and invites him to join their ranks. Alex, despite being impressed by her reputation and potential benefits, firmly rejects the offer. Upon noticing Howard and then Heena, Elyria recognizes her niece, Heena, and her demeanor instantly shifts to rage upon realizing Alex's involvement in their current ruined state.

Absolute silence enveloped the entire chamber.

A collective gasp of shock rippled through everyone present, witnessing the abrupt turn of events. Merely moments prior, calm discussions had filled the air, and now, Alex lay propelled across the room like a discarded plaything.

Elyria Voss stood a short distance away, her silver-white tresses slightly askew from the potent surge of power she had just unleashed. Her eyes blazed with untainted fury, her chest heaving with exertion.

"You vile cur!"

Her voice boomed like a thunderclap, resonating with pure, unadulterated rage and anguish.

"How dare you lay your defiled hands upon my niece?! How dare you subject her to such a sickening degradation?!"

The ambient temperature plummeted as her murderous intent permeated the space, causing a visceral chill to run through every individual, buckling them under the sheer oppressive force.

Heena's eyes widened in sheer terror as she observed the unfolding spectacle, utterly incapable of comprehending the swift transition. She scrambled to rise, her voice faltering with rising panic.

"A-Aunt... please... wait—!"

Elyria's gaze finally descended upon her niece.

The instant her eyes registered Heena's wretched condition—her body marred by unsightly blemishes, viscous fluids, and profound humiliation—something within Elyria fractured. Yet, her rage did not wane; instead, it intensified, morphing into something significantly more sinister and deeply agonizing.

Without uttering a single word, she swiftly retrieved the robe draped carelessly on the sofa and tenderly enveloped Heena’s trembling form within its fabric.

"Forgive me, my dear..." Elyria whispered, her voice thick with emotion, catching in her throat. "Your aunt is inadequate... I was too late to shield you. But fret not... I am here now."

She drew Heena into a protective embrace, her arms encircling her niece tightly as she gently caressed Heena’s hair, her heart burdened by a heavy confluence of sorrow and bewilderment.

How her niece had come to be in such a pathetic state remained a profound mystery.

From the periphery, Howard remained sprawled on the floor, his gaze fixed with wide eyes upon the unfolding drama. His face was a mask of astonishment and confusion. He had not clearly witnessed the preceding events, yet the outcome filled him with a fearful contentment.

He could keenly feel Elyria's bloodshot fury saturating the entire room.

’Did that scoundrel actually perish?’

A perversely gratifying sensation spread across his features as he surveyed the scene.

’That elderly woman…’ he mused, a flicker of recognition finally dawning in his eyes. ’Isn't she an acquaintance of Heena’s departed mother?’

It was only upon hearing her refer to Heena as her niece that the truth struck him. Cold perspiration beaded on his brow as the full realization dawned... should Elyria uncover the extent of his transgressions, his negligence, and all his clandestine actions, he would undoubtedly face the same demise as Alex, or perhaps something far worse. His only hope was to remain unnoticed.

Elyria gently released Heena, her gaze now fixed upon her with palpable concern.

"Tell me what transpired, my dear," she inquired softly. "How did you find yourself in this predicament?"

Heena’s lips quivered, but coherent words refused to form. She was wracked by tremors, her mind submerged in a mire of terror and shame. The chilling thought that Alex might have met his end due to her actions sent a pang of unbearable guilt through her chest.

Observing her niece’s distress, Elyria gently patted Heena’s head with a tender, reassuring touch. She then slowly turned her head towards Howard, her eyes now piercing and authoritative.

"Approach and recount the events that transpired," she commanded, her voice imbued with a chilling finality.

Howard froze, his mind frantically scrambling for a plausible fabrication.

He hastily crawled towards Elyria, settling before her on his knees, his head bowed in submission.

"Kindly... please hold me accountable, madam," Howard implored, his voice laced with desperation and trembling. "I failed in my duty to protect my wife from that fiend. The fault lies entirely with me. Please... do not place blame upon her. Punish me instead!"

Howard swallowed with difficulty, yet continued, striving for an authentic tone.

"That individual... Alex... he abducted us. He coerced us here and... and inflicted all of this upon my wife. I attempted to intervene, but my efforts were futile. I implore you... I beg you. Chastise me for my profound failure."

"Hah," Suddenly, a deep, resonant rumble echoed through the room as the fractured wall groaned and shifted.

All heads snapped towards the source in bewildered surprise.

From amidst the debris, Alex slowly rose. His hair was a tangled mess, coated in dust, and his bathrobe hung in tatters, bearing conspicuous bloodstains.

A faint crimson trickle mended the corner of his mouth, yet his demeanor remained unsettlingly placid. He wiped the blood away with the back of his hand and advanced, his gaze fixed intently on Elyria.

"You possess considerable strength for an elderly woman," Alex remarked with a sardonic grin, dabbing at the blood on his lips. "I very nearly met my end there."

A profound, stunned silence descended once more upon the entire gathering.

Mrs. Blackwell's eyes dilated with sheer astonishment. Her mouth agape, she stared at Alex in utter disbelief.

The younger woman's countenance drained of color. She instinctively took a backward step, her hands quivering infinitesimally.

’How... how did he endure such a full-force assault from the Master?’ they exchanged bewildered glances, their thoughts echoing in shared disbelief.

Most cultivators at their level would have been killed by that attack, yet Alex remained standing, speaking as if completely unharmed.

Elyria’s gaze sharpened dangerously as she fixed her eyes on him, her fury igniting once more.

She, too, was astonished that he had withstood her assault without suffering any significant harm.

’But how many more times can he endure?’ she mused with a chilling thought. Her eyes blazed with fresh rage as she readied herself to move and put an end to him permanently.

However, before she could even take a single step, Alex calmly raised his hand and spoke.

"Nah... nah... Patience, please," he drawled with a laid-back smirk. "Take a look behind you."

Elyria halted in her tracks. An inexplicable quality in his voice compelled her to pause. With slow deliberation, she turned around.

A wave of icy dread washed over her.

Looming behind her stood a towering man, each of her students held firmly by the neck in one of his hands. Their countenances were ashen with terror, their breaths catching as he squeezed them tightly. He offered her a smile, yet his grip remained unyielding.

"Hello, Elyria... It’s been a while."

Elyria’s expression turned grim the instant her eyes fell upon his face.

"Viktor."
