Shadows of the Deep Space Chapter 1774 - 554: Fated Showdown (Part 3)
Previously on Shadows of the Deep Space...
The Cui Lan Star Defense Line immediately unleashed its formidable Light Annihilation Space-based Weapons, unleashing colossal beams of light that pulverized the encroaching metal storm.
The entirety of the engagement unfolded with breathtaking intensity.
Matters were similarly precarious at the Black Flame Star Defense Line; forces from the Dark Star Empire advanced relentlessly, their objective none other than the utter annihilation of Black Flame Star.
Nevertheless, the meticulously constructed Black Flame Star of the Federation soon showcased its astounding firepower, decimating the breakthrough attempts of the Dark Star Empire forces.
Meanwhile, the scene on the Nether Moon Star Defense Line presented a brutal, close-quarters battle within Defense Area No. 5. Angulat and his contingent were locked in a desperate struggle against the three formidable Great Elders of the Chilami. This sector had devolved into a veritable meat grinder, with countless armaments and mecha meeting their destruction with every passing second.
The numerous council members observing the unfolding chaos were deeply unsettled, their nerves frayed to the breaking point. The elder members, their constitutions frail, discretely administered their medication.
At this critical juncture, Beludo leaned in to whisper to Su Mulong.
"Brother Mulong, I sense an unsettling anomaly originating from the Nether Moon Star Defense Line."
"With three VI-type Heroic Level elders engaging, expecting a favorable outcome is indeed difficult."
Su Mulong responded, his brow furrowed in concern.
Within the council chamber, other members were also engaged in hushed, worried discussions.
"The Nether Moon Star Defense Line is faltering rapidly; they are already in the process of redeploying both weaponry and troops."
"We absolutely must devise a solution."
"But what solution can possibly be found?"
...
Around this time, Clan Leader Tai Falu conveyed his thoughts to Mokduo in a low tone.
"What course of action do we take now? Should the Nether Moon Star Defense Line fall, we will face dire consequences."
"Patience, let us observe the situation as it develops," Mokduo advised calmly.
"Very well."
Clan Leader Tai Falu inhaled deeply, striving to quell his rising agitation.
At this precise moment, Farren, with a frown etched on his face, addressed Alicia.
"Alicia, your forces appear distinctly inadequate; even with the substantial troop presence at the Nether Moon Star Defense Line, they are facing such significant difficulties."
"Do you imagine I desire this outcome?"
Alicia replied, her voice tinged with an equal measure of helplessness.
"So, what is your proposed course of action at this juncture?"
"How should I know? Lord Long Bai has yet to issue any directives; what is the rush?"
"Understood then."
Farren City Lord offered no further comment.
In the interim, Senior Member Bai Kedi felt compelled to rise, addressing Long Bai with utmost respect.
"Lord Long Bai, circumstances appear exceedingly challenging at Moon Star. Considering that each major planet within the Federation still maintains its own defensive contingents, would it not be prudent to dispatch additional forces?"
"Indeed! Let us dispatch more troops to reinforce the Moon Star Defense Line. Its collapse would precipitate an immensely troublesome situation."
...
Numerous members voiced their agreement and support for this proposition.
Long Bai, having heard the collective sentiment, issued a decisive and cold refusal.
"Negative! We cannot afford to redeploy our internal forces. To do so would dangerously weaken our defenses, inevitably leading to further complications."
"Alas, this course of action is also unfeasible. What then are we to do?"
Bai Kedi and the other members responded with resigned sighs.

Nether Moon Star Defense Line.
Legendary Level Star Destroyer·Guang Xiao Central Control Room.
Fanluo God Emperor observed the unfolding battlefield simulations, his expression undergoing constant shifts.
Though the three Great Elders of the Chilami had not yet managed to breach Defense Area No. 5, it was undeniably evident that the Federation was beginning to falter. Had it not been for Mogulico skillfully utilizing the Zero-degree Envoy's unique attributes to absorb the brunt of the assault, the defensive line would have crumbled much earlier.
This thought crossed Fanluo's mind, and he issued a command.
"Asya!"
"Reporting!"
Captain Asya stepped forward immediately and stated her readiness.
"You are hereby ordered to lead a detachment into immediate battle!"
Fanluo God Emperor resolved to escalate the conflict, eager to ascertain what further strategies the Federation possessed.
"Understood!"
Asya accepted the directive without hesitation and departed.
...
Several moments later, within the central control room of the Star Destroyer Seeking Light.
Asya entered with a solemn demeanor, and Captain Lannette greeted her respectfully.
"Captain!"
"Prepare to depart!"
Asya instructed Lannette.
"Acknowledged, Kaelina, commence deployment!"
Lannette responded with deference.
"Understood!"
Kaelina promptly initiated the necessary operational procedures.
The Star Destroyer Seeking Light, taking the lead, steered its formation towards Defense Line No. 5.
...
Not long thereafter, within the Nether Moon Star Command Room.
The detection apparatus suddenly emitted a piercing alarm, and the screen began to display a multitude of red indicators, accompanied by red alert boxes.
"Warning: Star Destroyer Seeking Light detected."
...
Gwen, upon witnessing this development, reported without delay.
"Esteemed Lords, the forces of the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country have made their move; they have deployed the Star Destroyer Seeking Light fleet!"
Long Chen and the other assembled lords, upon hearing Gwen's report, visibly paled.
"What did you say? The Apocalypse forces have entered the fray?"
"Affirmative!"
Gwen confirmed with unwavering certainty.
"How can this be possible? Why would the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country move with such haste? This execution speed is completely out of character for Emperor Fanluo." Soraya voiced her astonishment.
"Precisely! Given his known methods, Emperor Fanluo should have allowed both the Chilami and us to weaken each other significantly. He wouldn't have intervened until the very end, unconcerned by the Chilami Clan's losses," Flaya added, equally bewildered.
"Where did our calculation go awry?" Long Chen's brow furrowed in deep thought.
It was true that Long Chen and the others had anticipated Emperor Fanluo's typical strategy: observing idly while the Federation and the Chilami clashed until both were depleted. However, their predictions failed to account for a crucial intervention – Su Ming had sabotaged Fanluo's plans. While the Emperor's strongholds were not yet fully overrun, time was becoming a critical factor, forcing him to address the situation with urgency.
Failure to act swiftly would spell significant trouble for him. In the best-case scenario, he would be forced into a battered retreat; in the worst, the forces under his command could descend into utter chaos and disintegration.
