After Saim concluded his statement, he immediately departed with his retinue.
Once Saim had gone, the Momesk Legion Commander and the others turned their gazes towards Commander Misya, voicing their discontent.
“Insufferable! This is unmistakably a blatant threat leveled against us!”
“Commander Misya, what course of action should we take now?”
“What other choice do we have? Everyone, prepare for battle,” Misya declared with a profound tone to the assembled individuals. Momesk and the rest vacated the central control room, each harboring their simmering anger. Limi also departed, her expression frigid. However, as she stepped out, her wristband suddenly buzzed, displaying an incoming video call from Asya. She raised her hand and accepted the call. Asya’s holographic image materialized, and Limi, with a stern countenance, addressed her. “Limi, your continued association with Archbishop Deshier has gravely displeased the God Emperor. This operation serves as a trial for them, and for you as well.” “Is there anything else?” Limi inquired coolly. “You must remain safe,” Asya advised after a brief pause. Upon hearing Asya’s words, Limi abruptly terminated the communication and proceeded, her demeanor impassive, towards the hangar. At this juncture, only Commander Misya, Archbishop Deshier, and a select few trusted operators remained within the central control room. Misya’s aged visage flickered with shifting emotions before she finally spoke. “Initiate a communication request to the Nether Moon Star Defense Headquarters!” the operator exclaimed, a hint of astonishment in their voice, yet they promptly executed the command. …
Within the command chamber of the Nether Moon Star Defense Headquarters, the atmosphere was charged with intense discussion regarding troop deployments. Suddenly, a crimson alert box materialized. “Alert: Communication request received from Star Destroyer·Praise Light!” Gwen announced the incoming communication to the gathered personnel. Long Chen and the others exchanged looks of shock; a communication request from the enemy at this critical juncture? What could their motive be? “My Lord, shall we accept it?” Gwen inquired respectfully. “Accept it!” Commander Flaya commanded immediately. “Understood!” Gwen swiftly initiated the connection. The communication link was established successfully, and Commander Misya’s virtual projection appeared on screen. “Misya!” Long Chen and the others were further taken aback by the sight of Misya. Misya surveyed Long Chen and his companions before posing a question. “May I inquire if Commander Soraya is present?” “She is here!” Commander Flaya responded in a deep voice. At that moment, Commander Soraya stepped forward deliberately, positioning herself before Commander Misya. Misya, her expression one of profound complexity, addressed Soraya. “Soraya.” Commander Soraya met Misya’s gaze and spoke directly. “Misya, the Fanluo God Emperor intends for you to engage in a doomed battle, showing clear disregard for your life. You need not comply; take your forces and surrender to us!” Commander Flaya, Long Ying, and the others registered a flicker of surprise at Soraya’s words; they had not anticipated Commander Soraya’s ability to persuade Misya into surrender. If this persuasion proved successful, the ensuing engagement would be significantly less arduous. Commander Misya let out a soft sigh and replied to Soraya. “It is impossible. Even if I were to agree, those under my command would not. What of their families? Furthermore, there is a supervisory team monitoring our actions.” Hearing this, Soraya’s eyes clouded over with a discernible trace of sorrow. Unbeknownst to most, Soraya and Commander Misya had formed a mutual affection prior to the Heavenly Revelation Divine Country’s division into the Federation. Observing Soraya’s crestfallen state, Misya spoke in a low tone. “Soraya, the reason I initiated this communication was to formally convey that you should not hold back. We will launch a full-force assault; let us engage in a true contest.” “Very well! Then let us fight to the bitter end!” Commander Soraya declared, lifting her head to meet Misya’s gaze, her heart heavy. “Farewell!” Misya then severed the communication link. Taking a deep breath, Soraya looked at the extinguished projection, raised her wristband, and transmitted a message to Shari and the others, instructing them to mobilize towards defense area No. 5. …
Within the central control room of Star Destroyer·Praise Light, Misya observed the concluded communication feed, her face etched with an intricate mixture of emotions. Archbishop Deshier let out a sigh and posed a question to Misya. “Is this the right course of action?” Misya responded with palpable emotion. “Deshier, while there exist individuals capable of altering destinies, they are often predestined figures. We are merely ordinary souls, powerless against the sweeping currents of history, destined only to be carried along by the torrent of time.” “You speak the truth,” Deshier replied with a sense of resignation. …
Upon receiving their directives, Shari and their contingent steered the fleet from Star Destroyer·Star Hidden, activating the Light Speed Flight Device and charting a course towards defense area No. 5.
Normally, under the protection of a standard defense line, devices for faster-than-light travel and instantaneous jumps are rendered inoperable. However, by deactivating and reducing the interference from the curvature device, these actions become possible. At this precise moment, the curvature interference device in Zone 5 has sustained damage, presenting Shari and her team with the opportunity to engage in superluminal flight without delay. Swiftly, they arrived at Defense Area No. 5, and the Star Destroyer 'Star Hidden' promptly revealed multiple embarkation points for their arrival. Mia, along with the other pilots, expertly maneuvered their Mechas, leading their respective squads out and heading towards each designated defense point within Defense Area No. 5. The 'Star Hidden' and the accompanying fleet began to spread out across the area. The entirety of the Nether Moon Star Defense Line is manned by six distinct legions: the Second, Third, Eighth, Ninth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Legions. This combined force amounts to over 350 million personnel, a strength approximately 50% greater than that of Black Flame Star. Their primary armaments consist of: one Sea God Fortress, four War Fortresses, one World-purifying Flower, the newly commissioned Legendary Level Star Destroyer 'Grey Angel', four Star Destroyers, twenty-two Level 5 Mother Ships, sixty-five Level 5 Battleships, three hundred and twelve Level 4 Battleships, and a formidable Mechanical Army numbering 12.03 million...
