Shadows of the Deep Space Chapter 1630 - 527: Mutual Defeat 2_7

In a flash, Ilyas hauled the Dark Annihilation Apostle along and dashed into the Divine Concealment Star Destroyer.
"Reception complete!"
Visado announced without delay.
"Retreat!"
Alekde issued the command without a moment's pause.
The Legendary Level Star Destroyer·Divine Concealment pulled back at full speed.
Right then, the Mechanical Clan's troops spotted the foes attempting to flee and gave chase.
Upon noticing this, however, the Elorazad Deputy Clan Leader delivered a frosty directive to Fadale and the rest.
"Stop the pursuit!"
Fadale and his comrades were stunned yet carried out the instruction promptly.
Truthfully, the Elorazad Deputy Clan Leader harbored no reluctance to hunt them down; it burned with desire to rip the Federal forces to shreds.
Yet in this clash, it had suffered the loss of a faithful follower, the Erosion Sun Fortress lay in ruins with heavy damage, it bore its own grievous injuries, and a massive hoard of gathered resources had vanished—calling it a catastrophic defeat would be no exaggeration.
Nevertheless, the Elorazad Deputy Clan Leader dared not press the attack further; urgent recovery of its power was essential. Discovery by the Clan Leader of those concealed assets and its wounds would spell utter doom.
Furthermore, dangers extended beyond the Federation; at times, threats from within prove the deadliest.
Hence, it remained powerless, merely observing the Federal troops' withdrawal.
Within the hangar bay of the Divine Concealment Star Destroyer.
Ilyas and the Dark Annihilation Apostle staggered through the entrance, securing themselves to the designated spots.
"Phew~"
Su Ming released a soft breath of ease.
"We are finally saved."
Celeste also washed over with a sense of relief.
Su Ming swiveled his gaze about, taking in the hangar teeming with frantic rescue operations, as Mechanical Repairers one by one sliced into the battered Mecha cockpits.
Healers dashed to administer aid to the wounded fighters before time ran out.
"Doctor!"
...
Desperate calls rang out all around.
Just then, General Sigurd arrived alongside a cluster of personnel.
Clack!
The hatches of the Dark Annihilation Apostle and Ilyas Mecha swung apart.
Su Ming and Gabres drifted downward.
"Are you alright?"
Sigurd queried with worry.
"We’re fine, not dead. Let’s head to the command center to check the situation."
Gabes uttered with clear impatience.
"Okay!"
Su Ming and the others signified their accord with nods.
Gabes ushered Su Ming and the group onto the transit platform.
In the central control room.
Alekde slumped fatigued in the command seat.
At that juncture, Su Ming and his companions stepped inside.
"Lord Gabres, Lord Sigurd, Lord Su Ming...."
Visado and the others offered swift salutes.
Gabes overlooked Visado entirely, his fury boiling over as he confronted Alekde.
"Why did we retreat, it was nearly done!"
"I know it was nearly done, but our forces were also on the brink. If we continued, we would break as well. Do you want to perish together with them?"
Alekde responded in a grave tone.
"Sigh!"
Gabes, despite his irritation, fell silent thereafter.
"Lord Alekde, are they continuing to pursue us?"
Su Ming posed the question steadily.
"No, they also suffered significant damage in this battle; we should be safe."
Alekde answered with solemnity.
Alekde's declaration prompted relieved sighs from those assembled.
At this juncture, Sigurd raised the matter, appearing somewhat distressed.
"Commander Alekde, what about the Mist Star Sea? We’ve been delayed for so long, it’s probably too late to provide support now."
Sigurd inquired, his tone laced with concern.
This prompted all in the room to fix their gazes on Commander Alekde.
"Let me think about this more."
Alekde too wrestled with unease; the interception skirmish had concluded, yet the developments at Mist Star Sea now twisted into a tangled mess.
