Yuka, a spirit beast, attempted to harm Amon, but Lin Li intervened. After a brief struggle, Amon and Lin Li managed to defeat Yuka. Before dying, Yuka transferred her seed essence to Lin Li as a parting gift. Amon then sensed that Di Ying was in trouble, and they rushed to her aid, finding her in a trance surrounded by Thien Huo's blood. Di Ying's premature growth was triggered by Amon's Primordial Blue Lotus nectar or an unknown event. Meanwhile, Krassazh and Yao Ai refused to help Di Yu in her fight against Mo Wang and Ling Dau. Amon decided to harvest Thien Huo's corpse while Lin Li watched over Di Yu and Di Ying.

Facing two opponents like Mo Wang and Ling Dau, even a powerful dragon like Di Yu was forced into a passive state. All she could do was dodge and defend. She wasn’t given the chance to retaliate. Ling Dau continued to push through with offensive maneuvers, forcing Di Yu to focus on him. Mo Wang never stopped zapping around her, distracting her, and delivering space-tearing assaults whenever he had the chance to.

Even with the enhanced defense from her awakened form, she couldn’t endure these nonstop assaults. The defensive energy shielding her was slowly worn down. Both Ling Dau’s and Mo Wang’s attacks managed to punch through her defense and left bloody wounds on her sturdy body.

The situation encouraged Mo Wang and Ling Dau. The two allies were confident they had this fight in the bag. Their morale was high. That was until they sensed an anomaly approaching them. They turned to it.

Even Di Yu was startled to a stop when she should have used the chance to escape the two’s encirclement. Her astonishment was even more than that of her two opponents, because the anomaly came from her daughter.

"Di... Di Ying...? What happened to you?" She asked. Her voice was full of concern.

Di Ying didn’t respond. Her face was blank. Her two eyes were nothing but white, like those of someone unconscious. Swirling around her was an astronomical amount of blood. This blood crudely took the shape of a gigantic dragon, one that looked like Thien Huo.

Di Yu was speechless. From the scene, she could tell that Di Ying had matured. She also found it unusual for a noble dragon like Di Ying to mature at such a young age. Furthermore, she couldn’t tell the element her daughter had gained. It was clearly not among the elemental versions.

Facing a noble dragon of an unknown element, Mo Wang chose not to be careless. He teleported away to put sufficient distance. Ling Dau, on the other hand, reacted oppositely.

"Hehe, I see your young progeny has come of age. Too bad she doesn’t know her place. How dare a newly matured dragon like her butt in on our fight? For her insolence, she will lose the chance to grow further."

"Don’t you dare touch her!" Di Yu warned.

Ling Dau snickered at the threat. "Worry about yourself, old one. You can barely keep up with us. It is only a matter of time till I bring you down. Also, I promise to eradicate all noble dragons who still cling to the old-fashioned tradition. That whelp of yours fell under the category, so she is also my target. I will prey on her sooner or later. Why not get it done now?"

"I will not let you...!!" Di Yu discharged her black breath at Ling Dau.

Mo Wang might have taken a precautionary step regarding Di Ying, but it didn’t mean he retreated from the fight. Di Yu was still his target, and he needed Ling Dau to defeat her. He had been ready when Di Yu made her move.

He used his Void Displacement talisman and opened a teleporting portal between Di Yu and Ling Dau. The black beam fired by DI Yu went inside the portal, which then exited from a second portal created by the same talisman. The black beam shot back in Di Yu’s direction.

Mo Wang had already used the same talisman several times during the battle, so Di Yu wasn’t surprised by it. Her body swerved and dodged her own attack. She wasn’t hurt, but she also couldn’t stop Ling Dau, who had lunged toward Di Ying.

Di Yu was concerned for her daughter. She wanted to help but was unable to. Mo Wang had resumed his offensive. With her defense greatly weakened, his space-tearing attacks were highly damaging. She couldn’t afford to let them hit. Di Ying must fend off Ling Dau by herself.

Di Ying remained unresponsive even when Ling Dau approached. Four out of his seven necks remained headless. As Thien Huo said, he couldn’t use the instant recovery unless he was willing to lose his dragon awakening state. The battle was not yet over. He couldn’t afford to do it, at least until Di Yu was defeated.

Ling Dau snorted while approaching Di Ying. She was a newly matured dragon who could not yet perform the dragon awakening. She would be an easy prey for his awakened form.

"Insolent child, be gone...!!!" He unleashed blast breath from his three heads.

The blood around Di Ying reacted to this assault. They coalesced before her, forming a large and thick shield. The blast breath crashed into the blood shield. Upon contact, the blood ignited into raging flames.

"What...?!" Ling Dau was taken aback. He recognized the aura from the flames. It was Thien Huo’s!

While Ling Dau was startled by the aura of someone he had killed, his surprise became even greater when he learned that his blast breath failed to break through the flaming blood shield protecting Di Ying. Not only did the shield block his breath attack, but it also consumed it, turning it into fuel to bolster the flame even further. The flame now grew to great height and again assumed the shape of the salamander dragon.

Ling Dau was stunned by the sight. Even Di Yu and Mo Wang stopped their fight to witness the phenomenon.

In his shock, Ling Dau failed to react when the dragon-shaped fire lunged at him. It washed over him and engulfed him in a sea of searing flames. Despite the strong defense possessed by his awakened form, he couldn’t bear the pain. His scream echoed through the sky as he was burned alive.

"Aaarrhhh...!!!" Ling Dau channeled all the power he could muster to break out of the fire. The cloud-like ribbon on his back wrapped around his body and doused the flames as he charged out, but the fire was as if alive. It refused to go out completely. Several parts of his body remained burning.

Before he could move far, whips made of blood lashed at him. These blood whips wrapped around his body, binding him. They held him and prevented him from escaping.

These blood whips were formed from the blood still swirling around Di Ying.

"Fucking whelp! Release me!" Ling Dau exclaimed. He pulled. His strength was great. The blood whips didn’t seem to be able to keep him bound for long. They were about to be torn apart, but before that happened, they underwent instantaneous combustion.

A second round of tormenting burning assailed him. It was worse this time because the blood whips were tied tightly to his body. They dug into his flesh, so when they immolated, the scorching was deep. He let out another howl filled with pain.

No one would have believed a mighty noble dragon uttered such a cry if they hadn’t witnessed it directly.

The sea of blood around Di Ying created more blood whips. They continued to lash at Ling Dau, one after another. Every time Ling Dau snapped one to free himself, it combusted, and another replaced the burned one. It was a never-ending torment, and he couldn’t free himself.

"Aahhh...!! How can this be? I killed you! You are dead!! Go away! Stop this...!!!"

Ling Dau’s pleading cry fell on deaf ears, or more aptly, dead ears. Thien Huo’s blood didn’t show any intention of stopping. On the contrary, its intent was unmistakable. It wanted vengeance! Through Di Ying’s power over its blood, it aimed to fulfil that intention.

More blood lashed out. This time, they took the form of sharp blades. The blades pierced into Ling Dau, whose scales had been severely softened by the constant burning. Once the blood blades were embedded deep inside Ling Dau’s body, they erupted into raging flames, cooking him from the inside. His howl of pain intensified to a new height.

No mercy was shown, no matter how pitiful his cry sounded. Neither Di Ying nor Thien Huo’s vengeful spirit showed any intention of stopping.

In a final move that used up all of Thien Huo’s blood, it again took the Salamander Dragon’s shape. As if Thien Huo himself were doing the act, it lunged forward and crashed into Ling Dau, who was still burning. Thien Huo’s shape dissolved, and the blood wrapped around Ling Dau, becoming a colossal blood cocoon. Nothing was seen inside the cocoon. Even the flames were obscured.

After a few seconds, the blood cocoon shook violently. It then brightened, as if it were being lit from the inside. The light shining from within it then burst out, turning it into a blindingly bright orb. It was so bright it was as if a new sun had been born.

There was no explosion. No loud sound. Only a flaming orb burning so intensely that it appeared to be a pure white light. Everyone could feel the extreme heat. Even Di Yu and Mo Wang must move away because they couldn’t endure the heat.

After several long seconds, the bright light dissipated. Thien Huo’s blood had been completely used up. There was no trace of it. Ling Dau remained, or what was left of it. A charred, lifeless remains that everyone could tell in one glance, and said with certainty that no life could have remained in it.

This charred corpse dropped to the ground, under the disbelieving eyes of those in the vicinity.
