Amon observes the battle between Hai Di and Lang Man, noting Yao Ai's premature invasion of the Devotion Domain. Lang Man's castle is suddenly attacked by altered beasts, prompting him to abandon the fight and rush to defend his home, while Hai Di seizes the opportunity to pursue him. The chaos causes armies to withdraw, shifting the ground battle's momentum. Hai Di catches up to Lang Man, and both domain lords activate their domain arts.

The domain contest between Hai Di and Lang Man appeared equal on the surface, but it was not so. Hai Di’s domain slowly devoured Lang Man’s. The reason was, to a small degree, due to Hai Di’s higher cultivation, but the larger part was due to his cultivation law. His Law of Pressure affected all his arts. Its effect was even more prominent for a domain art, where the purpose was to lock down and hinder the opponent. The intense pressure exerted by Hai Di’s dark domain was manifold compared with that of normal domain arts.

"Not bad. Your domain can resist this much against mine," Hai Di praised.

"Grhh! Don’t you underestimate me," Lang Man uttered. He was struggling to hold back Hai Di’s domain. He needed to exert all his power to oppose the dark domain to this degree.

A third explosion was heard. Lang Man couldn’t help but turn to his castle. A large portion of its outer building was gone. The castle occupants could be seen from the exposed part. Some of the occupants were luxuriously dressed women, and they were being chased by altered beasts inside the castle.

"No, my wives...!!!" Lang Man exclaimed.

His worry caused him to lose concentration. In that instant, his resistance against Hai Di’s domain art collapsed. The dark domain advanced abruptly. In a short time, Hai Di’s dark domain completely overwhelmed Lang Man’s ice domain. The dark tentacles that emerged from the edge of the dark domain lashed toward the center. These tentacles stretched and became taut. They turned into dark needles.

Countless dark needles pierced Lang Man’s body, leaving him full of holes.

Despite his seemingly fatal condition, he fought back. The dark needles that pierced his body were rapidly frozen. They shattered into icy dust. The dust attempted to spread but didn’t get far. A strong pressure pushed the dust back until it stuck on Lang Man’s body.

"There is no escape for you!" Hai Di exclaimed.

He slapped his hand downward. A large, dark palm took shape above Lang Man. This demon palm slammed into Lang Man’s mutilated body. It drove him into the ground below.

The dark palm flattened a large area. Its energy spread out, causing further destruction to the surrounding buildings and killing many civilians. Considering this was an enemy city, Hai Di had no reason to hold back.

Hai Di flew down and hovered above the impact crater. His dark domain followed him. It covered a large area, including Lang Man, who was lying at the crater’s center.

Vines and tiny wooden branches sprouted from Lang Man’s mangled body. They attempted to rebuild him. Hai Di wasn’t going to just watch and do nothing.

"I want to see if you can still survive if I turn every inch of your body into dust!" He slapped his arm forward, conjuring another demon palm. It was smaller than the previous ones but darker. It was as if it were condensed to complete blackness. This demon palm rushed toward Lang Man, who still lay on the ground.

The palm struck the ground. Everything it touched was eroded to nothingness. However, several vines slipped between the fingers of the black palm. These vines lashed up at Hai Di above.

Hai Di was surprised by this counterattack. He swung his hand. A sharp, dark blade followed his swing. Yet, the vines were as if alive. They dodged his swing and snaked their way around him before wrapping themselves around his body. He felt cold around the parts wrapped by the vines. A layer of ice began to cover those parts.

"Hrghh...!" One of the vines coiled around his neck and tightened, attempting to choke him.

The vines converged behind Hai Di and took the shape of a human’s upper body. This shape transformed into Lang Man, who laughed, "Hahaha! Brother Hai Di, you must think my Immortal Wood Body is only capable of restoration. It is worth it that I kept this ability hidden for so long. You will be the first victim of the offensive ability of my special constitution."

"Keep... Dreaming," Hai Di uttered with difficulty. The ice layer had covered his throat, but he wasn’t going to admit defeat.

Hai Di’s domain art was still active. Lang Man felt the pressure on him intensify. If not for his high cultivation, his body would have imploded from the pressure. Even so, this increased pressure took away his mobility. He couldn’t even speak now. He felt as if every part of his body were locked by iron clamps.

He heard the female’s agonizing voices from the direction of his castle. It was his wives. They were being slaughtered!

His anger this time helped him draw the inner strength to resist Hai Di’s pressure. He could speak again. "Hai Di!! Curse you for your underhanded trick! I will cut you to pieces to avenge my wives!!"

Ice covered the tips of Lang Man’s vines, turning them into sharp blades. These ice-tipped vines stabbed into the multiple parts of Hai Di’s body.

They couldn’t touch his body, though. A thin layer of shadows stood between the sharp vines and Hai Di’s body. This shadow armor was Hai Di’s defensive art. His Law of Pressure increased the armor’s density and gave it incredible toughness. None of the ice-tipped vines could pierce through.

The shadow armor wasn’t only sturdy. It also had eroding power. The vines wrapping tightly around Hai Di’s body began to shrivel as they were eroded.

"Get off me, you freak!!" Hai Di yelled. Countless black needles thrust out of his shadow armor, impaling Lang Man in the process.

Hai Di thought he had pushed his opponent away, but a burst of energy behind him informed him otherwise. He quickly reformed his shadow armor when something large hit him on his right shoulder. It was Lang Man’s ice crystal sword. The sword sliced through his dense shadow armor and cut his shoulder.

Lang Man finally managed to score a hit because Hai Di mistakenly treated him like any other cultivator. Lang Man was not. He was a rare combatant who had little concern for his survival due to his special abilities. This disregard for his own life allowed him to counterattack in a way no one else could. When Hai Di’s dark needles pierced him, he never thought about saving himself. All he was focused on was landing a strike.

The ice crystal sword went in an inch but stopped. This was because the pressure pushing on the sword had multiplied greatly. Hai Di’s domain art was still in effect, after all. The ice crystal sword cracked from the pressure before shattering into tiny pieces.

Hai Di swiveled behind him and landed a palm strike squarely on Lang Man, who was immobilized by the intense pressure. It was another demon palm, executed directly from Hai Di’s palm. Lang Man’s chest burst apart as a black palm shot out of his back. The force also sent him flying. He crashed into his own castle, damaging it further.

Hai Di checked the wound on his shoulder. It was bleeding profusely. The cut was quite deep. He used the meridian points technique to stop the bleeding before consuming a recovery pill.

He took a deep breath. It had been a long time since someone wound him like this.

He flew forward and into the ruined castle. Corpses were everywhere. Some were killed by the explosion, and some by the altered beasts. He looked down. Lang Man had been sent crashing into the castle’s basement, which was exposed because most of the ground floor was gone. His body was regenerating.

"Tch!" Hai Di uttered. There was no end to this.

He used Black Spears. The spears severed Lang Man’s about-to-reform limbs. He then used Dark Prison. If he could incapacitate and restrain Lang Man, he could end this fight even if he couldn’t kill the man. Sadly, it was but wishful thinking.

Four long vines burst out of Lang Man’s severed limbs. Ice crystal swords were formed at the tip of all four of those vines. These four ice swords swung at Hai Di.

Hai Di gritted his teeth in anger. He was angry because his opponent still fought back, even when he should have killed the guy multiple times over. "I will make you understand why I’m the strongest domain lord between us three!"

His domain sphere shrank. Not because he was running out of energy, but because he compressed them using his Law of Pressure. He then let himself drop to the ground. His domain sphere was as if a heavy, indestructible, giant ball. The four ice crystal swords shattered upon contact. He landed right atop the still-recovering Lang Man.

The floor gave in, and they fell further down. Lang Man’s castle turned out to have multiple basements.

"I will grind you to dust!!!" Hai Di exclaimed.

He willed his domain out of his body and let Lang Man into the detached domain. He then used his cultivation law to further compress the domain, causing it to shrink further. The compressing domain crushed Lang Man, who was trapped inside.

As the domain shrank, it became heavier. It was so heavy that the ground collapsed. It burrowed further into the ground. Hai Di continued to use his Law of Pressure to compress his domain until it was no larger than a tiny pebble. He then released it.

The explosion resulting from the release of the energy decimated Lang Man’s entire castle, along with half of Fractured Heart City.
