Richest Man: Divine-Grade Reconstruct System Chapter 4: Becoming a Top Student
Previously on Richest Man: Divine-Grade Reconstruct System...
After enduring his mother's constant urging, Lin Yi found himself unable to participate in the test. He quickly ate and then rode his bicycle straight to school.
His mother, witnessing his sudden eagerness, was certainly taken aback.
Inside the classroom, as Lin Yi made his entrance, his classmates were engrossed in self-study. His uncharacteristic appearance during this time caused a ripple of surprise among them.
Disregarding the curious glances, he proceeded to his desk, retrieved a pristine math textbook from his backpack, and began to study.
Moments later, Lin Yi couldn't contain his astonishment, exclaiming aloud:
"Holy crap! Isn't this amazing!"
This sudden outburst, so out of place in the otherwise silent room, drew every eye towards Lin Yi.
However, Lin Yi remained oblivious to the attention.
His entire focus was riveted on the textbook before him. The advanced mathematical concepts that had once lulled him to sleep were now astonishingly clear after a single reading.
This profound comprehension was the source of his shocked exclamation.
"Could this be the effect of the Super Brain Supplement Pill? This is too unbelievable!"
Lin Yi's mind now functioned like a high-performance computer; learning felt as simple as copying and pasting information.
More significantly, he could faintly recall even the lessons from his childhood that he had previously ignored. Content he had never even encountered had left a distinct impression on his memory.
Consequently, a remarkable transformation occurred during the morning self-study session: Lin Yi became the model student, his hands constantly turning the pages of books.
Yet, the speed at which he turned pages was somewhat unusual, with each page barely remaining open for ten seconds.
Naturally, his classmates did not genuinely believe Lin Yi was engaged in serious study.
Ring ring ring~
As the class bell chimed, the atmosphere in the classroom livened up.
By this point, Lin Yi had already set aside his math textbook, its contents now firmly imprinted in his mind.
However, a few points of knowledge, not covered in the textbook, still remained slightly unclear due to his past neglect.
But this presented no obstacle, as he knew someone who undoubtedly possessed the understanding he lacked.
Thus, in the next instant, much to the bewilderment of everyone present, Lin Yi walked directly to the front row, approaching Xiao Zihan.
"Lend me your math notes."
Noticing the school's notorious troublemaker, Lin Yi, approaching, Xiao Zihan instinctively shifted aside, despite him having given her a cold shoulder yesterday.
Nevertheless, upon hearing his rather commanding tone, she instinctively handed over her math notebook.
After obtaining the notes, Lin Yi offered Xiao Zihan a smile but did not linger. He returned to his seat and began to rapidly skim through them, under the confused stares of his classmates.
To foster a lasting connection with Xiao Zihan, he understood he couldn't be hasty. His immediate priority was to rapidly improve his academic performance.
It had to be said, Xiao Zihan's notes were exceptionally thorough, and after reviewing them, Lin Yi felt he had grasped all the concepts he had previously struggled with.
Despite the notebook's considerable thickness, Lin Yi's page-turning speed was truly phenomenal. He had finished the entire volume before the late bell even rang.
Closing the notebook, Lin Yi wasted no time. Before the late bell sounded, he swiftly got up and returned to Xiao Zihan's side.
Casually placing the notebook back on her desk, he addressed her puzzled expression:
"Here, finished reading. Also, lend me the rest of your notebooks; I'll return them after class."
At Lin Yi's assertive words, Xiao Zihan instinctively nodded, though she found it hard to believe he had actually finished reading her notes in mere minutes.
She couldn't quite comprehend his intentions, but she instinctively pulled out all her subject notebooks from under her desk.
"Oh, okay. It's fine, you can look at them slowly; I'm not in any rush."
As she spoke, Xiao Zihan couldn't even meet Lin Yi's eyes.
Lin Yi simply collected the stack of notebooks, offered a muffled "uh-huh," and turned back toward his seat.
After taking a single step, he paused, looked back at Xiao Zihan, who had her head down, and stated:
"You missed a second power symbol on page 18 in the vertex form of three forms of quadratic equations, and on page 31, the greater-than sign for 'a>0' in fractional indices should be a less-than sign."
After highlighting these minor errors he had spotted during his rapid review, Lin Yi departed, leaving a stunned Xiao Zihan, and returned to his seat to resume his studies.
With the college entrance examination merely four days away, even with his enhanced intellect, he still had a significant amount of knowledge to absorb!
To achieve superior results, he needed to maximize every available minute and second!
Once he was gone, Xiao Zihan hastily checked her notebook and, to her astonishment, found the overlooked power symbol and the typo Lin Yi had indicated.
For a moment, Xiao Zihan was speechless, utterly bewildered as to how Lin Yi could have possibly noticed such minute errors. Could he truly have finished her entire notebook in just a few minutes?
Yet, from a scientific standpoint, it defied logic. Even she, diligently reviewing her notes each day, had failed to notice these minute discrepancies. And how could the student consistently at the bottom of the class possibly comprehend such complex formulas?
"What's going on, Xiao Zihan? What was Lin Yi just talking about?"
As Xiao Zihan was engrossed in her notebook, her deskmate, Wang Lingling, inquired with curiosity.
"It's nothing, he just pointed out a few errors for me."
Hearing this, Wang Lingling's eyes widened in sheer astonishment:
"What? Are you certain he identified your mistakes??"
It wasn't surprising that Wang Lingling found it hard to believe; the idea of the perennial last-place student correcting the top student's work was simply too preposterous.
However, considering Xiao Zihan's nature, she was not one to fabricate stories.
With a degree of disbelief, she turned her gaze towards Lin Yi, who was seated in the far back corner, rapidly flipping through a notebook with intense concentration.
In that instant, a multitude of questions began to swirl within Wang Lingling's mind.
Could he genuinely be engaged in studying?
