Previously on Return of the Runebound Professor...
Vivian assigns Noah, the Executioner, and Maria to infiltrate a party and deal with the Apostles. Noah, reluctant to work with his assigned "babysitters," devises his own plan to manipulate the Apostles by feigning betrayal and creating a diversion. He instructs the Executioner to act as a "coat rack" and uses Maria's presence to further his deception. During the party, Noah approaches the Apostles Kyyle, Crone, and Audren, using their previous encounter as a supposed signal for a coordinated attack. When Kyyle questions him, Noah claims Vivian's attention is diverted, prompting Crone's surprise and confirming Noah's strategy. As Kyyle voices suspicion, Noah triggers a blackout, using the ensuing chaos to escape with the Apostles in pursuit.
