Anon and Mira confront a powerful barrier protecting a cave. A blue dragon named Loyel appears, offering a way through by tunneling. Inside, they encounter Krevin and his mother. Mira reveals Krevin is responsible for her husband's death, and Anon prepares to exact revenge. Krevin attacks, but Anon swiftly dismembers his hand and then decapitates him.

Swish

Thud.

In the blink of an eye, Krevin's head was severed from his body.

The detached head tumbled across the blood-stained earth, its eyes still wide with utter shock, before it finally stopped at his mother's feet.

"NOOOOOO! KREVINNNNNNN!!"

A scream that tore at the heart erupted from the woman's throat. She lunged forward, her knees hitting the ground hard as her trembling hands scooped up her son's head. She cradled it against her chest, as if her intense maternal love could somehow reignite life within it.

Blood seeped through her fingers, painting her dress a deep crimson.

Mira's voice sliced through the pandemonium, sharp and unyielding.

"I intended to kill him." She did not spare a glance at the weeping mother. Her furious gaze remained fixed solely on Anon.

Anon cocked his head, scratching the back of his neck with an expression of almost bashful regret.

"My mistake. Permit me to rectify it swiftly."

Before anyone could even process the action, he crouched. Casually, he detached Krevin's head from the mother's desperate clutch and placed it back onto the severed neck with the ease of reattaching a toy's head.

"It isn't too late. My ability should still function..."

A dark, sinister light erupted from his palm.

Flesh writhed. Bones clicked and shifted into place. Blood vessels snaked like living threads, knitting themselves back together. Within mere moments, the horrific gash was completely healed, leaving only a faint, reddened line as proof that death had loomed incredibly close.

Krevin's eyelids quivered.

He gulped in a shaky breath.

"HHAAAAAAAAAA..."

"W-What… occurred? Did I… perish?"

He pushed himself to his feet, unsteady, his hand instinctively reaching for his neck as if unable to accept it was still attached.

"Impossible...!" Mira and Krevin's mother exclaimed in unison, their voices overlapping in perfect, stunned accord.

Anon flashed a relaxed grin, entirely unperturbed by the turmoil he had just instigated.

"See? A few more seconds and even I couldn't have saved him. Fortunate we acted quickly, wouldn't you agree?" He turned towards Mira, his eyes alight with a dark amusement. "So... you can finish him off properly now, my dear."

With a subtle movement of his wrist, a simple steel longsword materialized in his hand. He offered the hilt to her.

Mira gazed at the sword for a mere half-second before slowly shaking her head.

"No. Not with a sword."

Her voice deepened into something menacing and furious.

"He extinguished the life of my beloved with his bare hands... thus, he shall perish by them as well."

A moment later, the very atmosphere seemed to vibrate.

Scales burst forth across her skin. Crimson wings unfurled from her back. Horns spiraled upwards. In an instant, the elegant woman vanished, replaced by a colossal, enraged dragon whose mere presence caused the earth to tremble.

Anon blinked once.

Then, he gave a shrug.

"Oh well. As you wish."

He reached into the seemingly empty air and produced a thick cigar, igniting its tip with a casual snap of his middle finger. A small, black flame flickered for a brief moment, setting the tobacco alight.

*Puff—*

Dense smoke drifted lazily from his lips as he observed the unfolding drama.

Krevin, still disoriented, finally perceived the monstrous entity before him. He registered Anon.

He scrambled backward.

Anon exhaled another plume of smoke, his voice perfectly serene.

"Heed my words carefully, Krevin. I shall utter this only once, so pay absolute attention if you value your existence."

He pointed the burning tip of the cigar towards the quivering dragon.

"Mira is moments away from tearing your wretched head from your shoulders. Should you dare to move a muscle in defiance..." His gaze shifted towards Krevin's mother. "...I will revert your dear mother to her human form, pleasure her so intensely she forgets her own name, and then snap her neck like a brittle twig. Instant oblivion. Do you comprehend?"

The color drained entirely from Krevin's face.

"N-No… I beg you…"

But before his pleas could be fully articulated, a fierce voice cut through the heavy silence.

"I will NOT permit you to lay a hand on my son!"

Krevin's mother threw herself between the dragon and her child, her arms outstretched, her eyes blazing with desperate defiance despite the terror wracking her body.

"If you truly thirst for bloodshed, then await my husband! When he arrives, he shall annihilate every last one of you, you detestable Morgan filth and this wretched harpy!

He will bestow upon you a demise you will never forget. Do you understand ?"

A hush descended.

The only sounds were the gentle crackle of Anon's cigar and the low, resonant growl vibrating deep within Mira's draconic chest.

Anon tilted his head towards Mira, a smile playing on his lips.

"Very well then..." Anon spoke, looking directly into her eyes as he activated his ability.

<Hypnosis>

The instant the skill was activated, Krevin's mother's eyes blazed with a vivid purple light, and she promptly moved aside.

"M-Mother!? What are you doing?" Krevin exclaimed, his expression a mixture of shock and fear.

"From that question, I can tell you don't truly love your mother, and wouldn't even care if she died protecting you.

So, why don't you meet my gaze as well?" Anon said, locking eyes with Krevin and employing the skill once more.

<Hypnosis>

As the skill took effect, Krevin's eyes also flashed with a bright purple hue, rendering his body immobile.

"W-What's happening to me? I-I can't move!" Krevin questioned, his voice laced with worry, as he looked towards Anon.

"I don't have the patience to explain... Mira, do it quickly. Then, I'll have my way with you, slowly," Anon responded with a grin, releasing another puff of smoke from his lips.

"You murdered the only person I ever loved, and then coerced my father into arranging my marriage to you.

I never once imagined my revenge would unfold like this, but now that it is, I must admit... I'm absolutely thrilled, you utter scum." Mira declared, seizing Krevin's head.

"M-Mira, listen to me... Why are you-"

*RIPPPPPPPP*

Before Krevin could finish his plea, Mira ripped his head clean off with a single, decisive movement.
