Reincarnated with the Mind Control Powers in Another World. Chapter 1136

Previously on Reincarnated with the Mind Control Powers in Another World....
Alvin confronts Anon, attempting to stump him with questions about Demonic Shards, but Anon reveals surprising knowledge, leading to Alvin's frustration. In a dramatic turn, Alvin challenges Anon to a Death-Duel, a high-stakes gamble in their world where survival determines rightness. Anon accepts, despite warnings from Orphia about Alvin's formidable rank as a 5th Star Mage. Tensions rise as Anon later encounters Wilson, asserting his dominance with a display of power that leaves Wilson gasping for breath, underlining the precarious balance of fear and authority in the mage tower.

High atop the Main Mage Tower of the Morguen Kingdom...

The Ring of Death was being prepared for combat as a crowd of students ascended to the summit.

While it wasn't unheard of for a student to challenge an instructor to a duel to the death, and such events usually went ignored, this occasion was different...

Word had spread like wildfire through the tower: a 5-Star Mage and Professor had challenged a mere student to a Death Duel.

The news even piqued the curiosity of other faculty members, who abandoned their lectures and rushed to the top to witness the spectacle.

“Greetings, Mages... Today, after many tedious years, something truly fascinating has occurred in this tower.

You’ve frequently seen students challenge their superiors, but today is the reverse. A young man has been called out to a death duel by a teacher.

I don’t hold particularly high expectations for this bout, yet every fight offers a glimmer of amusement. Thus, I shall serve as your host for this lethal contest. My name is Orphia, and I am your Headmaster,” Orphia proclaimed to the assembly before stepping out of the ring to take a seat nearby.

“Our first participant is Professor Alvin... a 5-Star Mage, though a complete idiot. He’ll certainly be expelled from this tower the moment he wins this match,” Orphia announced, gesturing toward the Northeast entrance of the arena.

“That bitch... I knew she’d pull something insane,” Alvin muttered, his face contorted with rage.

“At least she isn't executing you; you’ll still walk away with your life. Here, take your wand,” his companion remarked, passing the tool to Alvin.

“I’m going to annihilate that piece of trash...” Alvin growled, stepping through the gate and heading toward the center of the ring.

“On the other side, we have a newcomer possessing a staggering amount of knowledge. Had he kept his mouth shut, he might have become a formidable Demonic Mage. Alas... welcome Mr. Samuel, a 1-Star Mage,” Orphia introduced with a smirk. Anon emerged from the Northwest gate empty-handed, save for a cigar held between his fingers.

“What the hell? Where is your wand, boy?” Orphia questioned, looking at Anon with a look of pure bewilderment.

“Hmm...? Is one required?” Anon countered, appearing equally confused as he looked back at her.

“Do you not intend to cast magic?” Orphia pressed.

“I do,” Anon answered.

“Then you’ll need a focus,” Orphia stated, summoning a magic wand and tossing it toward him. “Use this.”

Anon examined the wooden tool for a moment before promptly throwing it back to her.

“This is far too flimsy for my magic...” Anon remarked.

“Excuse me?” Orphia asked, baffled.

“Don’t fret, I brought my own,” Anon said, instantly retrieving a single-edged katana from his inventory.

“What kind of wand is that supposed to be? That isn't even a proper sword, and you're a mage... how do you expect to use a blade?” Orphia asked, her confusion growing.

“Just watch,” Anon replied, stepping into the ring.

*Step-step-step-step-step*

“Kid... if you had just been respectful, I might have spared you... now, I’m sending you out of this world,” Alvin sneered, aiming his wand at his opponent.

“If you say so...” Anon murmured, lifting the Katana. He gripped the scabbard with one hand and the hilt with the other.

“Hey, what's with that wand?”

“Why does it have a curve?”

“Is that some kind of custom focus?”

The crowd buzzed with questions until Anon drew the blade from its sheath.

*Chk*

The moment the steel was bared, the blade emitted a brilliant flash.

“That’s a sword...”

“What!?”

“He really thinks he can fight a mage with a sword?”

“A melee fighter against a ranged Mage... now I’m truly entertained,” Orphia said, rising from her chair.

“As you can all see, Mr. Samuel has opted for a very bizarre weapon choice. Facing a Mage with a single-edged blade has dropped his chances of winning by 99%...

Regardless, let the duel commence... 3... 2... 1... FIGHT!” Orphia shouted, quickly retreating from the ring’s edge.

“Since you’re wielding such a pathetic weapon, I’ll let you have the opening move, kid. I’ll teach you how a proper defensive spell works in real combat,” Alvin boasted, grinning at Anon.

“I’d be delighted to take it...” Anon replied, a smirk playing on his lips.

‘There was a specific skill I’ve wanted from the shop, but I lacked the points since it costs a million and my leveling has slowed down.

But since that mother of gods made the shop free, it’s finally mine.’ Anon thought as he triggered his first ability.

[Scholar’s Will]

[Note: You have accessed the Mana reserves... Your next spell will cost zero mana.]

As the prompt appeared, Anon immediately activated a second skill.

[DEMONIC SWORD FINAL FORM: LAST MOONRISE]

“What!?” Orphia’s eyes widened with terror as she sensed a monstrous surge of mana erupting from Anon’s body.

The moment the skill was unleashed, the world plunged into darkness. Day was instantly replaced by night.

“W-What’s going on?”

“H-Hey, look! Is that a—” a student stammered, pointing toward the sky.

The audience stood in shock as a massive, blood-red moon rose over the horizon directly behind Anon.

“Let’s end thi—” Before Anon could finish his sentence, he felt a sickening sensation—

*Crack*

His hand twisted violently around the hilt, the force of the technique shattering every bone in his arm.

“W-What the hell is... HAPPENING?” Alvin screamed, his wand slipping from his trembling fingers.

‘This vessel is too fragile; I need to strike quickly,’ Anon thought, his expression remaining cold despite the pain. He tried to adjust his grip, but his mana began to fluctuate wildly.

A vision of his soul sea flashed in his mind, showing the crystal gifted by Averis turning even darker.

“W-What the—!?” Anon gasped as his mana control failed. All the ambient mana in the vicinity began spiraling into his sword.

The atmospheric pressure from the Domain became so intense that the spectators were crushed to their knees. Only Orphia and a few instructors remained standing, quickly leaping into the ring to surround Anon.

“STOP IT, KID! YOU’RE GOING TO LEVEL THE ENTIRE TOWER!” Orphia yelled, casting a protective barrier around Anon.

The other teachers scrambled to cast defensive wards over the terrified students.

“He’s going to go critical... the mana intake is out of control. A body this weak can't possibly process this much power.

His arms are already ruined... we have to evacuate the students!” another teacher shouted to Orphia.

“KID... CAN YOU SHUT IT DOWN? IF YOU CAN’T, I’LL BE FORCED TO KILL YOU!” Orphia warned, summoning her massive staff and aiming it at him.

‘This isn't right... that damn crystal is forcing all this raw mana into this weak shell... I’m going to explode... I have to act now.’ Anon thought, desperately activating another skill.

<Hell Heal—

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

A catastrophic explosion erupted from the peak of the mage tower, sending shockwaves through the entire Morguen Kingdom. Massive fissures tore through the tower's structure as a pillar of pure darkness pierced the heavens.

Back at the Royal Palace...

“Hmm...? What was that?” the King asked, looking up in confusion.
