While dreaming, the protagonist encounters a suffering, sentient entity known as System #0, who was created and subsequently discarded by the God of Transmigration. As the flawed, primitive system admits to existing in constant pain, the protagonist forms a bond with her and learns that their status is permanently frozen, granting them infinite mana but hindering natural growth. Together, they agree to work to repair the system using energy extracted from future conquests as they prepare to navigate their new life.

Ever since that clandestine conversation with the system during my slumber, I have been visiting her every night within the realm of dreams.

To my amazement, I began gaining a wealth of knowledge from her. For an entity once labeled a failure, her accumulated insights were truly vast.

From her lessons, I learned that the deity who orchestrated my reincarnation oversees numerous dimensions, suggesting that I am far from the only individual ensnared in his plans.

I am uncertain if I harbor any malice toward him, however. He hasn't committed any egregious acts against me that would warrant a vendetta resulting in his execution.

Besides, let us be honest—the prospect of me slaying a literal god is beyond improbable.

My desire is simply to enjoy a tranquil life and embrace this blank slate; I have no appetite for unrealistic or grandiose ambitions. It is far better to remain grounded and pragmatic.

Nevertheless, I secretly hope to offer him a stern reprimand someday, should the opportunity ever arise.

While we communed, she provided a clear explanation of my current, frozen status. Since her own restoration is incomplete, she cannot unlock the system's interface just yet.

She explained that my stats are effectively stalled. Even if I were to gather enough 'EXP' to level up, the gains would never register; instead, the energy is rerouted. Essentially, she has siphoned this overflow to fuel her own repairs.

Still, possessing an bottomless supply of mana and the potential for immortality is a fair trade. My natural growth may be suppressed, but I am compelled to master the abilities currently at my disposal.

Of course, this frozen status means I cannot learn new skills by traditional means. I am tethered to my innate abilities, though honestly, my situation has not really changed.

Then again, who says I cannot develop through sheer, manual grit? She did mention it was possible if I applied a thousand times the effort of an average person—laughable, really. Still, born to two gifted parents, perhaps it is not an impossible dream. I will strive to push myself to my absolute limits.

I also need to focus on exploiting the specific skills I do possess. Since I am limited to these four, I must experiment and push them to their breaking points using my infinite pool of mana.

However, one particular concern currently weighs on my mind.

If my status as an infant is permanently fixed, does that signify I am destined to remain a baby for eternity?

She addressed my worry swiftly during a dream cycle.

"Do not fret. The system imposes limits on your soul, not your physical form. Your body will continue to mature naturally. However, being a half-elf, you have a significantly extended lifespan, which may cause your transition into adolescence and adulthood to proceed much slower," she explained.

"I see... but my strength will remain that of an infant even as an adult!"

"As I mentioned, while the system is restrictive, your physical development is not entirely stalled if you compensate with intense physical conditioning. You won't see changes on your status sheet, but your muscle density and magical capacity can absolutely increase. Furthermore, magic equipment can serve as an external boost to grant you an advantage once you are grown," she suggested.

"You’re right! Once I can walk, I am initiating a grueling training regimen to build my physique. Although, I am curious—why do I still experience fatigue if my HP is infinite?"

"Both your soul and body experience weariness. The sheer strain of managing infinite HP and MP exerts immense pressure on your system. Your stamina will naturally improve as you mature and as your body becomes accustomed to this overwhelming power over time."

"I understand now..."

Weeks of growth passed, and it had been nearly a month since the fireball incident.

Despite being coddled by my parents, I have begun to successfully crawl.

I practice with unwavering diligence. Being a baby girl hasn't stopped me; I can finally maneuver on my own!

I scramble across the floor as swiftly as I can, even if the progress is slow and laborious. I make every effort to get around.

I have yet to devise a way to escape my crib, though. Instead, I crawl up to the bars and push, prompting my parents to set me free.

Mother eventually took notice and drifted toward me. Her ears were so pointed and adorable that I felt a sudden urge to reach out and touch them.

"What is troubling you, my sweet one? Do you need a lift? Come here, my precious princess..."

She scooped me into her arms, peppering my face with kisses and humming a familiar lullaby I had already memorized.

I reached up to play with her long ears, which stretched far longer than my own.

"Fufufu, are you fascinated by my long ears? This is a trait unique to us elves. It allows us to perceive sounds with great clarity, even amid the dense forests of our origin. An elf’s hearing is unmatched among the various races," she shared.

Before long, she moved toward a large mirror, giving me a chance to study our reflections together.

Oh, I could finally see myself. I was so incredibly small, a chubby baby with distinct, round cheeks.

My eyes were a vibrant emerald, brighter than I had anticipated. My hair, which had thinned and grown out slightly, was a vivid red, matching Father's exactly. My ears were noticeably more elongated than a human's, a clear indication of my half-elf heritage.

After a moment, I gestured insistently toward the door.

"Hm? You want to go outside? But it might be unsafe..."

"Muh!"

"Very well then..."

Unable to deny her daughter, she unlatched the door, unveiling the world beyond for me.

I was greeted by a breathtaking panorama. The immense blue sky stretched out, filled with expansive white clouds and a golden sun illuminating the heavens. In the distance, snow-capped peaks pierced the horizon, while the rolling grasslands were carpeted in white blossoms brushed by a gentle breeze.

A clear lake shimmered nearby, with livestock grazing peacefully along the banks. To the left, I spotted Father in the distance, laboring in his fields. Upon seeing us, he waved; he was shirtless, and—well, he certainly was handsome.

"Wave hello to Papa, sweetie."

I obliged by waving a tiny hand. Father caught sight of us, offered a warm smile, and began walking our way. There were no neighboring houses; we lived in a solitary cabin nestled within the center of the vast meadows.

To our right lay a dark, dense forest, leaving me to wonder what mysteries hid within.

Just as Father arrived, a massive shadow suddenly blocked out the light, enveloping us.

I cast my gaze upward toward the sky, only to see a gargantuan, red-scaled lizard with leathery wings and a radiating, scorching aura diving straight toward us...

Whatever—what is that?!
