Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out? Chapter 4 Oops

When Mother caught sight of the fireball hovering in the air, I made an attempt to vanish the flames. To my dismay, the fire didn't dissipate but instead turned erratic, flaring up in every direction! It was incredibly disorienting and, frankly, quite terrifying for someone trapped in a fragile infant's body.
"Sylph! Cease! Domain of Holy Light! Dispel!"
Witnessing the chaos, Mother rushed to my side and immediately unleashed an aura saturated with immense magical power.
FLASH!
Suddenly, the entire room was bathed in hues of blinding white and brilliant gold. It felt as though the whole world had dissolved into pure radiance.
With a graceful wave of her hand, she manifested a surge of magic that struck the flames, instantly extinguishing them.
Wow...
Is my mother truly this formidable, or is this just how things are?
This domain... it actually feels like it is mending my body.
I had only witnessed such extraordinary magic once in my previous life. Back then, it was because a high-level sorcerer was assisting us in purging a bandit den...
"Sylphy!"
She cried out, lunging toward me the moment the fire vanished, pulling me into a protective, desperate embrace.
She began inspecting me with evident distress.
"Are you alright, my dear? Did that hurt you?" she asked.
"Muhh..." I offered a nod, and she seemed to grasp that I understood her.
"P-Please don't use magic, okay? You are only a baby; your body isn't ready for it yet. You could seriously injure yourself," she cautioned, reprimanding me gently.
"Buuhh..."
Listening to her, I couldn't help but exhale a sigh. She was absolutely right. There was a significant danger that I could have harmed myself... I truly need to exercise more caution.
My apologies, Mother. For the record, you are such a sweetheart for being so gracious toward this little rascal!
With that thought, I planted a kiss on her nose, causing her to flush with embarrassment.
"Are you apologizing to me, sweetheart?" she cooed.
I nodded again.
"Aww... my precious little girl... it is quite alright. As long as you understand, that is all that matters!" she replied, showering me with kisses on my forehead, my nose—every inch of my face. I suspect she struggles with loneliness sometimes, to the point where her affection becomes almost stifling. Regardless, I am genuinely grateful to have such an honest and loving mother. She reminds me so much of the mother I had in my past life—in fact, that memory is the very reason I chose to trade my life to save her back then.
CRASH!
A moment later, the door flew open, and Father sprinted inside.
"Faylen! What has happened?! I felt your domain manifest suddenly... is Sylphy safe?"
Father rushed to my defense, though the danger had long passed. It turns out Mother was more than equipped to handle such a minor fireball. It seems her name is Faylen. As for my father, his name is...?
"It is perfectly fine, Allan. Our daughter just... displayed a hint of her potential and nearly scorched the house," she recounted with a laugh.
"Eh? Fire? D-Did she inherit my elemental affinity?! I suppose I arrived a bit too late," Father sighed, walking over to wrap his arms around both of us.
"Indeed! She seems remarkably gifted. A mere month into this world and she has already produced a flawless fireball! It only turned chaotic at the very end, necessitating my intervention... my domain kept the house from catching flame," Mother explained.
"I-I see... such a capable wife..." Father whispered.
"Regardless, I gave her a stern talking-to, and she seems to grasp the severity of it. Who knew Sylphy was such a bright girl? She even reacts to our words with nods," Mother added.
"Oh? Is that so?" Father asked me. I looked up at him and offered an affirmative nod.
"Ooh! She is incredibly sharp for her age..."
Mother and Father spent the next while interacting with me as I sat in my crib.
They began testing me with simple questions that allowed for "yes" or "no" answers, to which I responded with deliberate nods or shakes of my head.
Then again, I realized I should avoid appearing too perceptive. It might be safer to play the fool occasionally; it would seem far too suspicious if I fully grasped every word they spoke.
After a while, they asked if I recognized them, and I pointed toward them, struggling to form the words.
"Ma... ma... Pa... pa..."
Upon hearing my attempt, both of their faces turned as red as ripe tomatoes. They looked ready to burst with pure happiness.
"Uuuuoooohhhh! Sylphy-chan! Yes! I am your papa!"
"My sweet princess! You finally know I am your mama?"
I nodded again.
For some time, they continued to overwhelm me with affection, eventually leaving me so exhausted that I curled up in the crib and drifted off to sleep.
Uegh. This tiny body is so fragile that even sitting upright wears me out.
Even in my slumber, I could hear them whispering about me.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, I listened to their conversation over their evening meal.
"It appears she has true potential as a fire mage. To conjure a fireball at her age is unheard of. I cannot even imagine the heights her power will reach as she matures..." Mother remarked.
"It wouldn't be surprising if she surpasses both of our talents combined by the time she enters her teens..." Father replied.
"Indeed... if she also inherits my affinity, she will be more than just a formidable sorcerer; she could develop into an unparalleled healer..." Mother mused.
"She would be absolutely invincible!" they agreed in unison.
Hold on now. They are definitely pushing the exaggeration a bit far...
"In a few years, we can begin foundational training so she can master her magical control."
"True, and I could also instruct her in the way of the blade."
"I am unsure if she would enjoy that... she is a girl, after all."
"A-And? Our party included two women who were masters of the sword, you know?"
"But my... my blade is massive. Still, I suppose some fundamental swordsmanship wouldn't hurt."
Ehhh?
Are they truly plotting to cultivate me into some kind of ultimate weapon?
I decided to put the thought out of my mind—that was years away, after all—and surrendered to the darkness of sleep.
With two such powerful guardians, I suppose I don't need to fret over our safety. Perhaps I can actually live a life of comfort!
Now, back to rest...
.
.
.
"It hurts..."
Hm?
"It is so painful..."
What is that?
"Help..."
Eh? Who is speaking?
Suddenly, I found myself adrift in a sea of absolute darkness. Wait, wasn't I mid-slumber just a moment ago?
Before I could grapple with the situation, a flickering light caught my eye. It was dim and wavering, as if it were on the verge of being snuffed out.
"It hurts... it never ceases..."
The voice belonged to a young girl.
