The protagonist and their family battled massive draconic golems, using combined techniques and powerful magic to eventually defeat them. After the long fight, they finally reached Flamie's Soul Altar. Touching the altar revealed Flamie's memories and experiences, leading the protagonist to realize it was an inheritance left behind. Flamie's voice then echoed, and the inheritance's presence shifted towards Ignatius.

Once we finally reached the final floor of the divine realm, we faced no single giant boss waiting for us. Instead we confronted a relentless swarm of super powerful monsters that filled the vast chamber. We broke through their ranks only barely, while constantly bearing the crushing pressure of the entire divine realm. Or rather, the oppressive "stomach" that existed inside Lolth’s own divine soul. Every step felt heavier than the last. The air itself pressed against our lungs and made every breath labored.

When we at last overcame all the challenges and cleared the final wave of enemies, we stood before the altar where Flamie’s soul had been confined for so long. We quickly realized that he was still present in some form, yet just as we had suspected, it was not truly his complete soul. It was only a "fragment," likely born from leftover energy and essence that had gathered over the years and formed something resembling a spirit.

This spirit, created from a part of his original soul, seemed to exist here for a clear reason. It had probably absorbed a portion of Lolth’s divinity after being taken in as an Undead while still attached to Flamie’s corpse. Something significant must have happened during that process. The fragment had likely gained greater power, and its purpose had been redefined by the experience.

The spirit asked my father for an inheritance. Although he was clearly shocked by the request, he understood immediately that this was no longer the Flamie he had once known. He therefore decided to ask Flamie to share the inheritance with someone else instead.

"Me...?" Ignatius asked in pure disbelief. "But I... I’m fine."

My father shook his head slowly. "I know that you and Sylphy wanted to come here to find the remains of Flamie so you could finally evolve. But I suppose that’s no longer possible now that Lolth has assimilated it all."

"..."

Flamie remained silent for a long moment. Then he began to emerge slowly. His child-like voice rose softly as the golden-red leftover soul essence of the old dragon manifested in front of us. It took the form of a small and cute dragon, the exact same appearance my father had once known so well.

"Flamie..." my father muttered as he watched the little dragon fully appear. "Or... I... I guess... not really..."

Flamie offered a light smile. "I am only a small piece of him, the lingering emotions and soul essence left behind... I do remember things faintly. I remember you, Allan. My body was reanimated many years ago into a giant undead dragon, roaming endlessly through my dungeon... but at some point my endless torment was broken by her, who absorbed me and made me part of her."

"Lolth..." my mother sighed, growing slightly restless at the mention of the name. "Don’t you have any sort of grudge against that damned spider? She took everything from you, Flamie. Maybe if we had returned here sooner, we could have done something about your state. But your body is gone now... completely."

Flamie shook his small head. "Not really... but I am glad that a part of me remained here, while my true soul passed away before the body turned into an Undead. Lolth... helped us, if anything. Perhaps to you it might seem awful, but living as a zombie was not good either. It was like an unending torment where darkness consumed me completely. When she consumed me and made me part of her, and after this sudden glow of light appeared, I feel lighter... purer, somehow."

"..." My father remained silent as he listened carefully to every word. "Flamie... Would you ever forgive me for what I did? For being impatient, for being reckless... I caused all of this. Your sacrifice, your death... I’ve sometimes forgotten, but now I remember it every single day, and it makes me wonder what could have been if things had gone differently. If you could have survived. You could have seen us grow up. You could have helped us defeat the demon king. Maybe... you would have seen my children grow up as well..."

Flamie looked at my father with deep sorrow. He lowered his head and gently placed his forehead against the top of my father’s head in a quiet gesture of comfort. "Don’t worry about the past, Allan. The past is already over. It is impossible to change. What happened... has already happened. Lingering on the past will never alter it. It will only bring you further pain."

My father looked into the little dragon’s bright eyes and carefully caressed his large head. "Then what do I do?"

Flamie smiled warmly and turned his gaze toward the rest of us. "You have a wonderful family... I can’t believe you even married Faylen! You two didn’t get along at all back then and were so different from each other... Heheh. And... you have two children... So cute! I am so happy for you, Allan!"

"Flamie..." my father cried openly now. "I wish that could have been you too! I wish you would have been able to find someone you love and build a family of your own... like me. You died too soon, too young! It’s unfair! It’s..."

"But it’s in the past," Flamie continued gently. "I know... I also feel somewhat bad about it. I was resentful while I existed as an Undead, but now that I think about it clearly, I am grateful that Lolth took care of me. I would have hated for you to see me in such a form. That creature was never really me after all."

My father nodded slowly, wiping at his eyes. "We faced some strange dragon monsters before reaching this place... they could talk like you, yet they were dead set on killing us. They resembled the dragons from some old tale I once told you long ago... It was so bizarre. They contained your essence. Lolth... did she do something with your power?"
