Ninhursag fully awakens her Skinchanger Physique after consuming the obsidian Drake, gaining immense power and the ability to manifest devoured monsters as spirits. Arafunn has also deepened his connection to nature magic through his friendship with Ninhursag. Now, their combined strength unleashes a devastating symphony of power against their enemies.

Arafunn let his mind drift from the battle for a brief moment, recalling the many times Zack had struggled to learn music. He remembered how Zack constantly complained that it was "too complicated" and nagged him about it being "very cringe and stupid." Yet after enduring countless trials and repeated defeats, Zack finally began to take things seriously.

With his friends and girlfriend always in his heart, Zack overcame his deep insecurity. He stopped viewing music as something foolish and gradually embraced it. He fought through the trials, defeated the powerful ancient spirit beasts of the temple, mastered Melody Magic, and ultimately inherited Arafunn’s powers. Shockingly, he even took on Arafunn’s Legacy as his own.

Even though he didn’t show it outwardly, Zack’s true weapon of choice was not the flute. He could play both the flute and the guitar, but he was a far more intense young man than Arafunn. While Arafunn was a delicate youth beloved by the wind and melody spirits, Zack was rougher and more masculine.

Yet that very nature also made him uniquely cherished by the spirits of wind, thunder, and melody. His style was raw, loud, and primal, which turned him into a perfect wielder of both Arafunn’s Legacy and Ninhursag’s power, as if he had truly become their child.

This realization filled Arafunn with deep pride, enough to make him forget for a second or two that he was facing a gigantic horde of intelligent monsters.

"Arafunn!"

"Right." Arafunn’s eyes snapped open. His long hair danced in the wind as his aura fully manifested. He spun mid-air, his flute flashing brightly as emerald winds gathered into a swirling vortex around him and Ninhursag. Their auras merged seamlessly, the result of years of joint training finally bearing fruit in this desperate moment. It was time to reveal their combined power to the world.

Ninhursag smiled and poured forth her strength, unleashing the melody of primal instinct alongside Arafunn’s delicate yet tempestuous symphony. Their platonic bond fused their powers and divine sparks into something greater.

In that instant, the sky above the Southern District tore open. Though this was a gigantic city inside a mountain, Arafunn’s domain and the combined power of his familiars and spirits allowed him to summon a sky for his techniques. He called it the Soaring Heaven Melody Domain, capable of creating open heavens even in the deepest parts of the world.

He had developed this Domain during his worst moments in the trials, when he struggled most in closed spaces, his greatest weakness as a wind mage. Now, it had helped him manifest his Divinity Spark properly. With his growing powers and the successful inheritance of his Legacy to Zack, and to a lesser extent Ninhursag and Luck, the Domain continued to strengthen.

A cultivator’s power, especially one tied to Divinity Sparks, could grow through those who learned, mastered, and improved their Legacy. It created an interconnected chain of strength that ultimately flowed back to the original wielder.

Thus, Arafunn conjured this power with almighty force. His eyes gleamed with brilliant light as his aura merged with Ninhursag’s into a radiant symphony.

A colossal spiral of emerald winds mixed with golden spiritual flames, formed from their combined beast spirits, descended like a divine spear.

The artificial sky Arafunn had created trembled violently, shaking the entire southern district. The monsters attempting to charge at them could only stare in awe.

Arafunn’s music swelled into a roaring orchestra while Ninhursag’s primal energy granted it raw destructive force. The two powers fused into a single apocalyptic storm of cutting winds, spiritual flames, and roaring beast howls. The monsters halted their advance and desperately tried to protect themselves as a gigantic lion made of golden spirit flame and wind roared furiously at them.

And then the explosion came.

The combined attack slammed into the frontline of bosses like the wrath of a god born from their fused powers. The ground shook violently. Everything before the monsters turned pure white for a moment, followed by darkness, before countless more explosions erupted in rapid succession.

Utter chaos spread across the entire district.

The Bloodweaver Matriarch’s tentacles evaporated instantly as she screamed. Her fleshy body exploded into burning chunks.

The Iron Tyrant Forgelord raised molten shields, but they melted under the overwhelming spiritual pressure. He was blasted backward, half his armor destroyed.

"Tsk, this is way too ridiculous!" Even the Profaned Archangel Mal’thir was forced to cross his arms and summon a corrupted holy barrier. Cracks spread across it as he was pushed hundreds of meters back, crashing into the cave walls and vomiting blood. "D-Damn it! How dare they! Our rise is at hand, yet they still defy us!"

For a brief moment, the monster army faltered. Their current general, Mal’thir, widened his eyes as he surveyed the devastated and massacred forces. They had already lost three bosses, but the war was far from over.

"Hah...! Not bad for two little heroes!" Mal’thir laughed, feigning superiority. His voice still carried mocking amusement despite the damage. Purple crystals rapidly regrew across his body as the Storm Sovereign Ra’khan channeled healing lightning into him and the surviving bosses. However, his power could not revive the two that had died, nor the one Ninhursag had devoured.

"Mal’thir! They are exhausted and weakened after such a massive attack. This is our chance to slay them!" the Storm Sovereign Ra’khan urged, slithering through the clouds around him. "I will take that elf! If I can devour him, my power will skyrocket to new heights!"

"Fine, have it your way," Mal’thir said with a smile. "But we will not fight alone. We do this together." He summoned a giant sword of light in one hand and a sword of darkness in the other. "Let us see how far you humans can go against the very monsters you have slain for so long, treating us as mere resources. Now that we are as smart as you, if not smarter!"
