"...!" She nodded enthusiastically, crossing her arms.
"I believe it’s because she used her powers to influence your fortune," Alice explained. "Unlike Strength, who gains EXP through battles, Luck gains hers by affecting your luck—such as when she enhanced the quality of all those items. The sheer volume of high-grade rewards gave her five levels at once."
"Well, that’s pretty amazing," I said with a smile. "So if we kill more monsters and collect their drops, she’ll gain even more levels?"
"Yes, likely. The greater the amount, the better," Alice nodded.
"Alright, that’s good," I replied. "Okay, what should we do now? Should we keep going?"
"I kind of want to check those treasure chests first!" Aquarina said excitedly. "I’m dying to see what’s inside."
"Me too," Ignatius floated closer. "Also, can’t you use that shattered core of the dragon-shaped treant to evolve me? It was radiating pure dragon energy!"
"It won’t work, Ignatius. That was just a fake dragon form created by magic," I sighed. "Just be patient, okay? It’ll work out in the end."
"I’m running out of patience!" Ignatius complained. "Everyone’s evolving except me... It’s unfair!"
"Look, do you want to evolve now and end up as a lesser dragon? You might even lose your dragon power and turn into a wyvern. Is that what you want?!" I asked.
"...No!" he gasped. "Okay... maybe we can wait a few more days."
"Hahaha, I guess his dragon pride is pretty strong," Aquarina laughed. "It’s a pity his corpse was completely used up. There isn’t a single thing left except your earrings."

"Okay, so there’s a lot of nice stuff here," I nodded. "More orbs, equipment... Wow, what is this set? It looks strong."
Aquarina and I admired the many items we had obtained. Among them was a full series of equipment that clearly belonged to the Treant King. It looked absolutely magnificent.
The armor was crafted from burning crimson wood and adorned with red jewels. Elegant dragon motifs and branches with vibrant orange and red leaves gave it an autumn-themed beauty.
It came with a shield, floating swords, and a crown.
The set was definitely not as powerful as Naturia’s equipment, but it still felt incredibly strong. It amplified my Fire Element tremendously, the flying swords looked awesome, and the shield... well, I already had one.
Huh. This is the difficult part of having permanent growth-type familiar equipment. They always get jealous when you want to try something new.
Maybe Aquarina wouldn’t mind as much. She could probably use the extra fire protection.

"Just for now? Maybe we can use it as materials later, but... can’t I try it? It looks so cool!"
