Upon waking the following morning, a sense of refreshment washed over me, yet it was accompanied by an urgent need to visit the restroom. After attending to my needs, I decided a solitary bath would be most agreeable.I had risen quite early today. The previous day had been packed with activity, a truly enjoyable experience filled with hunting, traveling, exploration, and delving into the dungeon, among other things. However, as I began selecting my attire, a sudden realization struck me."Wait, Master Felicia! She never returned with us after we departed from Armageddon! Where could she be?!"Following my bath, I made haste directly to the divine realm floor of the dungeon, the domain overseen by Armageddon. To my astonishment, something was indeed transpattering.Within the castle constructed by Armageddon, Master Felicia was engrossed in a board game with her.Armageddon appeared visibly disgruntled, as she was performing quite poorly in the game."I win."Felicia smirked, advancing a single piece and decisively capturing the rest."What?! I didn’t even get a chance to— Curse it! How is this even possible?!""Now you shall fulfill our agreement and permit me to analyze your body to my heart's content, heheheheh!""Eek! Someone save meeeeee!"Armageddon was clearly in distress under Master Felicia's intense focus.I rushed forward to her aid, positioning myself between Felicia and the trembling ant queen."Armageddon! Are you alright? Has Master done anything to you yet?""Master?!" she gasped. "Masteeeeer! Where have you been? This eccentric woman is simply too much! Why haven't you come to my rescue? Buaaaahhh!"She began weeping like a small child! This was an unprecedented display of emotion from Armageddon, leaving me utterly dumbfounded."M-Master? What are you doing?" I inquired."Oh?" Felicia exclaimed. "Hahaha! My apologies, Sylphy! I became so captivated by this world that I lingered behind, analyzing everything and gathering a wealth of new materials for my research.""Um, alright, I suppose that's acceptable... but why?" I asked, struggling to comprehend."Why not, Sylphy?! Is a woman not permitted to act as she pleases?!" she retorted. "Must a genius, an alchemist, a blacksmith, refrain from seeking perfection and the ultimate truth? Now that a goddess and a divine realm are directly before me, why would I resist the urge to examine every facet, every minuscule particle? I must unravel the mysteries of the gods!"Ah, I knew it. There was no point in arguing with this formidable woman. Master was, after all, rather peculiar and quite eccentric. But it was precisely for these qualities that we cherished her."Ah... very well, then," I conceded with a shrug. "Armageddon, do not fret. Everything is alright. She will not inflict any harm upon you. I give you my word that I shall never allow anyone to hurt you again.""M-Master..." Armageddon's profound vulnerability tugged at my heartstrings. I gently caressed her smooth head and bestowed a soft kiss upon it. "Master..." She embraced me in return, resting her head on my shoulder and weeping like an infant."Aw... I had no idea you possessed such a tender side, my poor little Armageddon. It's quite alright," I soothed, continuing to pat her head. "Master! How could you allow this powerful and aggressive goddess to behave in such a manner? W-What exactly did you do to her?!""I merely took a leg or two... She's merely an insect! She's already regenerated them," Felicia replied with a nonchalant shrug."Hah?! That sounds like torture..." I muttered, burying my face in my palm."She is perfectly fine. Moreover, is she not an evil goddess? She had to face some consequences for her transgressions," Felicia reasoned. She always believed herself to be entirely in the right, and there was no changing her mind on the matter."Haa... Would you mind departing for now? This is my dungeon, after all," I requested."Very well, I have concluded my work here for the moment," she agreed with a nod. "I shall see you outside! I intend to thoroughly inspect and analyze all these newly acquired materials!"As she departed, Armageddon gradually regained her composure. I gently wiped the tears from her large, gem-like eyes, continued to pat her head, and tenderly stroked her antennae."It’s alright. She has left now," I sighed. "I truly apologize for completely forgetting about her... I was far too preoccupied with the beach barbecue.""And you didn’t even invite me?!" she demanded, her voice tinged with indignant fury."W-Well, please forgive me..." I apologized once more. "Come now, don't remain angry with me... I shall prepare a magnificent feast to lift your spirits, how does that sound? Here, I managed to catch a plethora of divine spirit beasts. Would you care for some?""Ooohh?!" Her eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and delight as substantial mounds of colossal monster carcasses materialized before her. "Hmph! You won't easily win my favor with such simple offerings though!""Hahaha, very well. Please be seated. I shall prepare something truly delectable for your enjoyment," I assured her, giving her head one final affectionate pat. "Try not to cry anymore, okay?""Hmph..." She averted her gaze, appearing somewhat embarrassed as she agitatedly clicked her mandibles. It took me approximately an hour to prepare the meal, and as I cooked, the entire castle became enveloped in the mouthwatering aroma of exquisite seafood.Eventually, her children began to arrive, one by one. They were a collection of exquisite humanoid ants, much like herself but smaller in stature. Some were adorned with fiery auras, others shimmered with brilliant gemstones, and a few seemed to be fashioned entirely from polished metal.Among them were those who possessed a delicate, feminine allure, while others were strikingly large and powerfully built.
Within this castle resided solely her most formidable and ancient offspring, those conceived from her very essence.
These beings represented the zenith of her newly formed divine spirit fire ant lineage.
There were approximately fifteen in number, all already in the process of evolving into Demigods.
She had even taken the initiative to bestow upon them proper names and treat them with a degree of consideration, certainly not as mere refuse.
"Mommy, mommy! Is it ready yet? I’m so hungry!" a delightful fire ant child scampered towards her.
"Have patience, Festerliel," Armageddon responded.
"But I’m hungryyyyy!" the child wailed, tugging at her mother's hand.
"Tsk... enough..." Armageddon sighed, scooping up her daughter. She peered into the child's large, endearing red eyes. "You little... nuisance!"
"Eek! Hehehe! Mama!" Festerliel giggled as Armageddon, setting aside any intent to harm, began playfully tickling her abdomen with her mandibles. "Stooop! Hehehe!"
"If you don't stop bothering Mama, I'll devour this belly of yours!" she declared with mock sternness, though it was evident she was enjoying the game with her child.
"Sorry, hehe," her daughter chirped, embracing her. "Mama, when will I grow up?"
"It requires some time. Your siblings are all developing at varying paces," Armageddon explained. "You haven't shed your skin yet, have you? Once you do, your body will experience a significant growth spurt."
Armageddon's words, though lacking overt tenderness, were accompanied by a gentle stroke on her daughter's head, and a look of genuine affection crossed her features.
"Well, well, well, look who's showing more kindness than she admits to..." I quipped, approaching them.
"W-What?! I haven't done anything!" Armageddon retorted defensively.
"Haha, nothing at all," I replied. "Hey! Do you know who I am, little one?"
"You're Mama's friend, aren't you?" the young ant inquired. "I'm Festerliel! And you're... Auntie Sylphy! That's right?"
"Indeed, that's me," I confirmed with a nod, noticing Armageddon's growing irritation.
"Alright, that's enough now. Go play with your brothers and sisters," she instructed, attempting to usher her daughter away.
"No, no, wait. Stay with me, dear," I interjected, taking the child's small hand. "Can't you tell me a bit about how your mama acts?"
"Eh? Okay!" she agreed with an adorable nod. "Mama is quite grumpy! But... she's also nice! And sometimes she gives me candy... spicy candy made from fire spirit stones that we absolutely adore! And... Mama occasionally asks me which dress I'd like, and she crafts numerous dresses for me! Plus toys too! The other night, I was scared in the dark... so she let me cuddle with her in her enormous bed! It was the most wonderful sleep I've ever had! Since then, Mommy allows me to sleep beside her every night, hehe."
"Oho?" I glanced at Armageddon, raising an eyebrow. "Is that so? Truly? Truly? Incredible! She certainly is a wonderful mother!"
