A sense of relief washed over me as my eyes fluttered open. The intense battles had undoubtedly taken their toll, leaving my body utterly spent. It seemed that even with endless HP, stamina had its limits, a fact driven home with each encounter against formidable foes. Furthermore, wielding divinity exerted a significant burden on me.
Upon regaining consciousness, I found myself resting within a tent on the first-floor beach. To my dismay, my voluptuous familiars were by my side, the very ones who had persistently refused to leave me. Strangely, they were now hanging their heads in what appeared to be shame.
"Huh? Girls?" I inquired.
"Ah, you’re awake!" Scarlet exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Master!" Sapphire cried out.
"I’m so incredibly sorry. We had no idea it would affect you so profoundly..." Yggdra apologized, her voice laced with regret.
"We simply adore you, but perhaps we got a little carried away..." Alice sighed. Her affection had grown noticeably over the past few years.
"Yeah, sorry about that," Nephilim added with a nod.
"A-Ah, please don’t worry yourselves over it. You don’t need to feel too bad," I reassured them. "I believe I passed out because I unleashed an extremely powerful attack that depleted all my divine energy in one go. It has mostly recovered by now. How long was I asleep?"
"Oh! You’re not angry?!" Scarlet beamed, her long tail wagging with palpable excitement. "You slept for about an hour."
"Your parents did scold us..." Sapphire sighed, her expression somber. "And Aquarina was particularly furious... Could you perhaps ask them to forgive us?"
"Ah, I don’t think I can manage that," I replied with a chuckle. "An hour, you say? I suppose I should head out. Is it still daytime? The sun is beginning to set, but it will be a few more hours until nightfall. However, one thing is certain: all of you need to cease being so overly affectionate. It’s perfectly fine that you love me. I love you too, but please be more mindful of your actions!"
"Yes, we apologize," Yggdra nodded earnestly. "We shall express our love in different ways from now on!"
"Hm, perhaps I’ve become overly influenced by them..." Alice mused, rubbing her chin before transforming into her fairy form right beside me. "This is always better, isn’t it? I love you, Master. I'm so glad you're alright." She then planted a kiss on my cheek.
"Hahaha, I always prefer this cute little fairy," I remarked, returning her affection with a kiss on her tiny forehead. "I love you too, Alice. Now, let’s go outside."
"Wait, I want some smoochies from Master too...!" Scarlet wailed, transforming into her sword form.
"Ugh, stop asking all the time!" Sapphire complained, shifting into a floating shield. "And I deserve them more!"
"Grrr! You damn brazen bitch, wanna go?!" Scarlet roared in response.
"Come at me! I am impenetrable!" Sapphire hissed back, undeterred.
They inexplicably began fighting again, as they often did.
Well, perhaps their rivalry was for the best. They had always been fierce competitors, after all.
"I can also change into a little fairy form," Yggdra offered, appearing on my mother’s shoulder and nuzzling my face. She had become significantly more clingy ever since she became the mother of the new goddess of dungeons. I suspected she viewed me as her spouse, though she likely didn't fully grasp the implications of such a title. That infant was, technically, our child, though I had deliberately avoided delving into the complexities that might arise from such a revelation.
"Is it alright like this, Master?" she asked sweetly.
"It is," I affirmed, gently patting her small head and bestowing another kiss on her forehead. "Very cute."
"Fufu, am I cute? I’m so glad," she giggled, blushing adorably.
"..." Nephilim, trailing behind me with a crestfallen expression, spoke up. "I cannot transform into a cute and petite form... I have failed as your familiar, Master."
"Hahaha, you don’t need to worry about that at all," I laughed, patting her shoulders reassuringly. "You are perfect just the way you are, Nephi. By the way, aren’t you feeling hungry? Let’s go see how everyone else is faring."
"Hm!" Nephilim nodded, her eyes instantly brightening. "I love you too, Master...!"
"Did you miss me that much?" I inquired as she embraced me from behind.
"Yes..." she replied casually, her voice muffled against my back. "Please, let’s never be separated again..."
"We won’t. Don’t you worry," I assured her, stroking her head. "Ah, how about a new hairstyle? You have such lovely hair!"
"Hm? Really? Perhaps," Nephi nodded thoughtfully. "If Master believes so..."
As we stepped out onto the beach, I heard someone rapidly approaching.
It was Aquarina, clad in an alluring blue bikini and effortlessly carrying a colossal fish monster with a single arm, drawing considerable attention.
"You’re awake, babe!" she exclaimed, pulling me into a tight embrace and unceremoniously jostling aside all my clingy familiars. While I felt a pang of sympathy for them, their departure also brought a sense of relief. Perhaps I was too lenient with them to be genuinely harsh.
"Yeah—Hm?!" I was about to respond when she abruptly silenced me with a passionate kiss.
"Are you alright? Those bothersome spirits of yours annoyed you again, didn’t they? They’re always squabbling over your attention!" She sounded visibly jealous. "Hmph! Don’t they realize you’re my wife?!"
“They’re aware. They don’t plan on snatching me away from you or anything…” I let out a sigh. “Is that so?!” she shot them an angry glare. “A-Aquarina, we’ve always been friends…” Alice attempted to placate. “My apologies…” Yggdra offered as well. “Ah…” Aquarina’s anger slowly subsided. “You’re right. I’m not sure why I lost my temper. Well, regardless, do I look sexy?” “Yes, you absolutely do! You look so… uh… yeah,” I stammered, nodding. “Heheh~ I’m pleased!” She planted another kiss on me. “Anyway, I was about to roast this, but they mentioned divine fire is superior. Now that you’re awake, would you like to help us prepare a barbecue? Our parents and everyone else are gathered over there.” “Ah!” My gaze drifted towards the distance. Adjacent to the forest, an expansive camp was bustling with activity. People were busy butchering, preparing, and grilling a variety of beasts. Our parents were also tending to delicious-smelling dishes. “That sounds great! Okay, let’s go! Oh, but first, allow me to change…” I retreated into the tent and rapidly changed my attire. Alice and Yggdra assisted me, helping me put on a stylish white-and-red bikini, complemented by charming sandals. To enhance my beach-ready appearance, I even adorned my hair with a vibrant red tropical flower. “What do you think?” I inquired as I emerged. Aquarina’s eyes widened in astonishment. Her jaw dropped, and she inadvertently dropped the fish she was holding. Her face flushed a deep crimson, and I could practically visualize steam escaping from her ears. “W-Wow! You look incredibly cute! S-So stunning as well…” she stammered, her cheeks burning. “Hehehe, really?” I gave her a playful wink. “Well, aren’t you fortunate to have such a captivating girlfriend? Anyway, I’m all set now. Let’s head over!” “W-Wait a moment…” she uttered, seizing my hand and drawing me nearer. She then passionately kissed my lips. “Can’t we spend a little time together first?” “E-Eh? Ah…!” My heart began to pound as Aquarina’s kisses trailed from my lips to my neck, her hands firmly gripping my posterior before moving down to my thighs. “Aquarina… what if someone sees?” “Let’s go over there,” she whispered, a sly smile playing on her lips as she effortlessly lifted me and carried me towards the dense jungle concealed by the trees. It appears this particular swimsuit has been astonishingly effective in captivating my girlfriend... -----
