All of us looked on, stunned by the immense power Lara had attained since her rigorous training. Only my mother, my brother, Mist, and Nephilim appeared unfazed.
"This place is overflowing with spirits more than anywhere else, so I can do a little more than usual!" Lara giggled. "Eh... Thunder!"
As she uttered these words, the thunder spirits began to spiral and condense into colossal thunder dragons. They descended with great force and detonated, annihilating wave after wave of monsters.
"A little more?!" I exclaimed in disbelief.
"Without this environment, her abilities are around thirty percent weaker, I guess," Mist commented, stroking her chin.
"T-That’s ridiculous!" I gasped.
"Yeeaaah..." Mist nodded in agreement. "We got used to it. Lara is just... well, she is the Saint of Spirits. The first ever."
It was dawning on me that this Saint of Spirits, a being created through the combined efforts of the Spirit Gods and the deities from above, might very well be a weapon in herself.
Indeed, Lara had been secretly fashioned into a weapon. An extraordinarily potent weapon capable of commanding the very spirits of the entire world, especially once her powers reached their full maturity.
But the question remained: why?
Could it be that the gods who sought an alliance with humanity were responsible, working in concert with the spirit gods of this world?
It certainly seemed like a cunning stratagem, if that were the case.
This realization only amplified my curiosity about the extent of Luck's current strength.
"Alright, I think she has shown off enough. I will do something myself too!"
Mist ascended into the heavens, unfurling a pair of angelic wings crafted from pure light. Her spirit companion, Snowflake, materialized beside her. No longer a diminutive rabbit with wings, Snowflake had transformed into a gargantuan, plush rabbit-like creature, adorned with golden horns and magnificent butterfly wings.
Riding atop her spirit, Mist aimed her arrow at the horde of monsters below. The arrow began to absorb her energy, her Celestial Light Arrow Magic, as her bow itself morphed into a monumental weapon of spirit, divinity, and soul, all at once.
"Okay, here I come!"
Her four eyes blazed with a brilliant golden light, while her long, flowing white hair danced in the wind. Her black horns instantly transmuted into pure gold. The pint-sized demon girl invoked the most radiant light-elemental magic I had ever witnessed, second only to my mother's.
Her bow unleashed a colossal arrow composed of celestial spirit light, hurtling towards the monstrous entities beneath. Larger abominations began to emerge, titans towering hundreds of meters into the sky, formed from living coral, alongside mutated chimeric krakens.
And then...
That singular arrow fractured into countless thousands, transforming into a veritable cascade of celestial tears descending upon the land.
The devastation was absolute. The Gigantic Coral Titan Beast bellowed, swinging its immense appendages at her, only to be brutally shredded by the barrage of arrows until it disintegrated into countless fragments.
The Massive Chimera Krakens let out roars, their titanic claws and serpentine tentacles reaching out towards her. Snowflake responded with a thunderous cry, unleashing thousands of luminous beams from her eyes, maw, ears, and wings. This relentless bombardment struck before Mist unleashed another arrow.
Heavenly Dragon Descent?
Precisely as the name suggested, her arrow of celestial light metamorphosed into an immense golden dragon, shining with blinding luminescence. It plunged through the colossal hundred-meter kraken, impaled its heart, and instigated a cataclysmic explosion within its core.
The dragon's fury was far from sated. It writhed through the heavens, piercing dozens of the titanic beasts consecutively, annihilating them with unimaginable power.
But then...
From the tumultuous divine seas, a giantess composed entirely of wild, surging water emerged. At its heart lay a mermaid-like monstrosity, bearing the head of a fishman.
This entity was a Tier 9 Fishman Queen, one that had undergone evolution through potent spirit and divine energies, transforming into such a colossal and terrifying threat.
As the immense watery hands reached out to seize her, Mist's lips curved into a confident smile. She channeled her power and launched her third arrow.
Apollon?
The arrow's intensity surged exponentially, its heat reaching critical levels as it glowed a deep crimson, appearing on the verge of detonation. She loosed it, piercing the three-hundred-meter water giantess and incinerating the Fishman Queen at its very core. The arrow continued its trajectory into the ocean, detonating with tremendous force, momentarily flattening the seabed and revealing the dry ocean floor.
As the blinding light of the explosion subsided, the sea waters rapidly surged back to reclaim the chasm, gradually calming as if the cataclysmic event had never transpired, despite the fact that all of us had borne witness to that awe-inspiring display.
"Phew...!" Mist exhaled, a sigh of relief escaping her lips as she wiped the perspiration from her brow. "What's wrong with you guys? Aren’t you going to fight?"
We exchanged glances, still lost in astonished disbelief.
Lara's prodigious growth was anticipated; we all understood she was the most gifted among us and would eventually surpass many as the Saintess of Spirits.
However, Mist's display of power was utterly unforeseen, particularly given that she had never been designated as a saint or a chosen hero.
The young girl, once prone to tears from constant bullying, had appeared so fragile before. Yet, she bravely joined our perilous expeditions, mastered archery with a bow, awakened her magical abilities, acquired a magic circle and a unique physique, received an enhancement from my system seed, and ultimately formed a bond with her spirit.
Witnessing her transformation from obscurity to prominence filled me with immense pride for all her accomplishments.
She was, undeniably, the esteemed Heroine of Celestial Arrows.
No divine endorsement was necessary, save for my own.
"Alright everyone, let us advance!"
I bellowed in unison with the others as an increasing number of sea beasts surfaced. Titan-class monstrosities became more prevalent, and the entire ocean convulsed violently.
"Mist, I concede your current prowess, but know that you are not the sole individual who has undergone improvement."
Celeste declared with a confident grin. Her Living Demonic Spirit Spear, Thanatos, began to quiver as she lightly touched it. The spear unexpectedly grew to a colossal size, towering nearly fifty meters. It then fractured into a thousand smaller ebony lances that streaked towards every monster, piercing their forms and impaling them with crushing might.
"Okay! Plenty of water here, and sand... and vegetation. Hm, alright, I've got this!"
Celica stayed on the shore, extending her Golem Domain to its absolute limit. The very ground quaked in her presence as immense golems erupted from the sands themselves.
