The family gathers for a meal as Xinyan's wedding approaches. Tasks are assigned for the big day, and He Jinxuan confirms his family will arrive two days prior. Xinyan is instructed to prepare her wedding house and organize her dowry, while preparations are made for her to stay at the Han family's old house before the ceremony. Xinyan reflects on the overwhelming love and care she has received, contrasting it with her past life.

Today marks the departure day for the He Family's journey to Beijing.

Long before dawn, Mother He was already awake, diligently preparing provisions for the train journey.

Upon hearing the early morning stirrings, the eldest daughter-in-law, Wang Erni, promptly made her way to the kitchen. "Mom, please allow me to assist you," she offered.

Mother He, preoccupied with her thoughts, responded absently, "Knead some dough for steaming buns. Later, slice the pickles, stir-fry them with chili, and pack them tightly. They will taste wonderful together."

Being a straightforward person, Wang Erni busied herself immediately. "Mom, I happened to overhear the conversation between Second Brother and his wife a few days ago. Have you reached a decision regarding their matter?"

Mother He's brow furrowed. "Were you deliberately eavesdropping on our private discussion?"

Wang Erni continued her tasks without pause. "I had no such intention. My stomach was aching that day, so I returned home early. As I was preparing some ginger sugar water, Second Brother and his wife arrived."

Mother He's expression turned displeased. "Attend to your own affairs. What Second Brother is dealing with is his own concern and has no bearing on you, the eldest son's family."

Wang Erni had initially hesitated to bring it up, but she did not wish to depart with unspoken concerns, only to return with regrets. She knew that the Third Brother was not one to be easily swayed, and moreover, this was his wedding; causing trouble was certainly not appropriate.

She let out a soft sigh inwardly, "I understand."

After all, she had done her part in reminding them; whether they chose to heed the advice was entirely up to them.

Mother He, who had been wavering on the decision, found herself even more conflicted after the eldest daughter-in-law's words.

At this very moment, the eldest son, He Xunan, entered the kitchen from outside. "Grandma, Mom, I am here to lend a hand."

Seeing her elder son, Wang Erni instructed, "You, stay out of this for now. Go wake your brothers and the others so they can get ready. Remember, the train waits for no one."

He Xunan washed her hands with a smile. "Do not worry, Mom. They are fully aware of the day's importance and have been up since early, assisting Dad with packing the luggage."

Wang Erni suddenly remembered something, clapped her hands, and hurried out of the kitchen towards the house. "Jiefang, those dried mushrooms! Make sure to place them on top and avoid crushing them."

From inside the house, He Jiefang responded, "I am not that foolish."

Wang Erni chuckled and turned back to the kitchen, as He Xunan playfully remarked, "Mom, you seem overly concerned about those dried mushrooms. Even if they were slightly crushed, it wouldn't affect their flavor."

Wang Erni quickened her steps. "Your third aunt particularly favors these. They were specially sourced from a neighboring village, and presenting them whole certainly enhances their appeal."

With He Xunan's assistance, breakfast and the food provisions for the train journey were swiftly prepared.

Mr. He stood in the yard, noticing the absence of any activity from the second brother's courtyard. He called out over the wall, "Second Brother, are you awake yet?"

He Jian Country, who was in the process of putting on his shoes, quickly ran to the yard, his shoes still not fully on. "Yes, yes, we are up."

Mr. He urged, "Hurry and get yourselves ready. We must not miss the train."

He Jian Country acknowledged and swiftly retreated inside, calling out to Gao Yumei, "Hurry up! Otherwise, we won't have time to prepare any breakfast."

Gao Yumei stretched languidly. "Can't we just grab a meal at the other yard when we get there? Why bother cooking?"

He Jian Country replied with displeasure, "If you wish to be stared at with disapproval, then by all means, go by yourself."

With that, he shut the door and went outside to wash up.

Fleetingly recalling the true purpose of their impending journey, Gao Yumei dared not procrastinate any further.

After they had eaten and gathered all their belongings, Mr. He called out, "It's getting rather late. Let's make haste."

Only then did everyone grab their luggage and head towards the exit.

The eldest son, He Xudong, looked towards Mr. He. "Grandpa, are we not waiting for Uncle?"

Mr. He stated as they walked out, "They are proceeding directly to the train station. We will meet them there."

Gao Yumei, squeezing into the conversation, remarked, "Attending Third Brother's wedding this time, our family's presence truly lends him considerable prestige."

Her words instantaneously altered the expressions of everyone present.
