Gloria and Felicia grew increasingly suspicious of Buddy's strange behavior, as the bird inexplicably cleaned them and their belongings. Buddy's bizarre actions escalated when he deliberately farted in front of the two women before fleeing.

They both gagged, scrambling away from the area and rushing toward Liana. Gloria gritted her jaw, her entire body trembling with rage as she shouted across the beach.

"Budddyyyyyy!!!"

Buddy ran with a laughing squawk, his legs carrying him swiftly across the sand before he launched himself into the water. He landed with a splash and began floating effortlessly on the surface, paddling around in slow, lazy circles, looking exactly like a smug, oversized waterfowl enjoying a peaceful swim.

Gloria pinched the bridge of her nose, one hand on her hip as she let out a long, frustrated sigh.

"That big orange menace... he’s even more annoying now that all his girls are nesting. You’d think he’d calm down a little now that he’s about to be a father. But no. He’s still the same troublemaker... maybe even worse than before. He’s always been a handful, but now it’s like he’s got even more energy to cause chaos."

Liana chuckled softly, snapping her fingers. Massive piles of marinated slab meat materialized on the table beside the grill, arranged in neat, glistening stacks. The rich aroma of spices and herbs filled the air as she began arranging the cuts for the fire.

"Well, that’s how our Young Master’s pekko is. Like master, like pekko. Buddy just follows his master’s behavior. You still remember, don’t you, Gloria~?"

Liana kept placing thick meat slabs onto the portable grill, her voice calm and nostalgic.

"Young Master used to play tricks like this too, back when he was younger. He’d tease the maids, prank his brothers, and then run off with that same innocent look on his face. He’d cause chaos and then pretend he had nothing to do with it."

Gloria nudged her glasses up, her brow furrowing as she glanced at Liana.

"How can you stand how annoying Buddy is? He’s been like this for years. I don’t know how you put up with him."

Liana let out a soft chuckle, her eyes warm with memory.

"I’ve handled worse than Buddy’s behavior. What he shows is just a fraction of what Young Master used to be like back then. Compared to him, Buddy is practically well-behaved."

Felicia pursed her lips, leaning her weight against Liana’s shoulder as she glanced toward the water where Buddy floated.

"I still don’t understand how you can be so calm about him, Big Sis. He’s a menace. A big, orange, smug, farting menace. And we can’t even punish him properly because he’s our Husband’s favorite pekko. It’s so unfair."

Liana glanced toward Felicia and Gloria, her smile turning playful. "Buddy is not just his favorite pekko. He’s his only pekko. His first pekko. The one he worked so hard just to get. There’s a reason why our husband named him Buddy."

Felicia puffed her cheek, still unsatisfied. "That still doesn’t explain why you’re so calm about him, Big Sis."

Liana’s smile softened, her voice dropping into a gentle, teasing tone. "At least you both aren’t called ’witch’ every time he addresses you. Consider yourselves lucky~"

Felicia tilted her head in confusion. "Witch? What do you mean by call witch?"

Liana adjusted the magic fire on the portable grill, her expression calm and serene.

"Nothing... nothing~"

Just as Gloria was about to say something, they all paused, their gazes drawn to a figure appearing from the distance. Javier walked toward them along the shoreline, wearing nothing but a pair of sleek black beach trunks.

His upper body was bare, revealing his lean, perfectly sculpted muscles, each contour defined with a natural, athletic grace. He wore a pair of dark sunglasses, and he walked with a calm, confident stride, both hands tucked casually into his pockets.

Delya’s smile turned dreamy, her eyes softening as she watched him approach. She slowly stood up, her body swaying slightly as she took a step forward, only to feel a sudden tug on her leg.

She glanced down and noticed Mimi was holding onto her ankle, her grip firm, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. Her tail swayed playfully behind her.

"Nya? Where are you going?"

Delya narrowed her eyes, her voice carrying a hint of mild annoyance. "I want to go to our husband."

Mimi’s grin widened. "Nya~ Our castle isn’t finished yet! You can’t go anywhere until it’s complete~"

Delya tried to slip her leg free, but Mimi tightened her hold. With a soft grumble, Delya took another step forward, dragging Mimi along the sand. Mimi’s body slid across the beach, her tail swaying happily, her grin never fading as she enjoyed the ride.

"Let me go!" Delya snapped, her dreamy expression replaced by mild irritation as she continued her determined march toward Javier.

"Nya~ No~" Mimi giggled, holding on tighter as she was dragged across the sand.

Javier removed his sunglasses, tucking them into the waistband of his trunks. A gentle breeze swept across the beach, lifting his hair in a perfect, artful wave that framed his face and accentuated his sharp, handsome features.

Delya’s footsteps slowed, her dreamy smile turning into a soft, dazed stare. Mimi stopped dragging herself across the sand, her tail going still as she stared up at him with wide eyes. Celine, who had just stepped out of the water, paused mid-step, her lips parting slightly as she watched him.

Felicia’s cheeks flushed pink. Her ears twitched, her tail froze mid-sway, and her eyes locked onto him. She swallowed hard, unable to look away.

Gloria nudged her glasses up, her gaze drifting slowly from his face, down his chest, across his abdomen, and lower, before a sly smile curled on her lips.

Lyzia, who had been following Celine out of the water, stopped dead in her tracks. Her breath caught in her throat, her cheeks warming as she stared at her brother-in-law. She quickly averted her eyes, but her gaze kept drifting back toward him.

Liana, standing by the grill, simply smiled and mumbled under her breath.

"He’s doing it again..."

She shook her head softly, but her smile never faded.

He’s using wind magic to make his hair move like that~

He always does it when he wants to look cool.

And it always works. Every single time~
