Reborn As Noble Chapter 1451: Entertaining a Sister’s Request ( 1451 )
Previously on Reborn As Noble...
Armand Nation.
Armand Estate.
Backyard Garden.
Mimi was playing alone with a set of large building blocks, her tail swaying slowly as she concentrated. She bit her tongue lightly, fully absorbed in her game, enjoying the peaceful afternoon. She wore a loose, oversized shirt that slipped off one shoulder, paired with comfortable shorts, her bare legs stretched out as she sat on the soft grass.
Just as she was about to pull a block from the bottom of her tower to place on top, a maid approached and called out gently.
"Princess Mimi?"
"Nya?" Mimi’s hand paused mid-reach. She turned her head and glanced back at the maid, her ears twitching curiously.
The maid bowed gracefully, her hands folded neatly in front of her. "Miss Liana is calling for you."
"Nya? Me? Why?"
The maid smiled and shook her head. "I’m afraid I don’t know, Princess. But Miss Liana asked me to inform you to come to the special underground training room area."
"Eeehhhh!? Why? Mimi hates training, nya!" Mimi pouted, her tail flicking in mild protest.
The maid let out a soft, gentle laugh. "I’m just conveying Miss Liana’s orders, Princess. It might be best to go and see what she wants. You know how Miss Liana can be if kept waiting."
Mimi pursed her lips before setting down the block with a soft sigh. "Okay, nya~"
She skipped away, taking the garden route toward the training area, her tail swaying behind her as she hummed a cheerful tune.
Meanwhile.
In the training area, in front of the doorway to the special underground training room.
Liana sat gracefully on a wooden bench, one leg crossed elegantly over the other. She adjusted her hair with a calm, practiced motion, her expression serene but carrying an air of quiet authority.
Beside her, Gloria sat with one leg crossed, wiping her glasses with a soft, clean cloth, a faint, knowing smile on her lips. She polished the lenses slowly, before placing them back on her face with a graceful nudge.
Felicia sat nearby, a book open in her lap, her tail curled neatly beside her as she read in peaceful silence. Her eyes moved across the pages with calm focus.
Delya arrived just then, walking with a dreamy, unhurried grace, a large jar of chocolate hugged protectively to her chest. A gentle, contented smile graced her lips as she took her place beside the others.
Gloria smiled while nudging her glasses. "Liana?"
"Hmm?" Liana, who had just finished tying her hair into a neat side braid, smiled and turned her glance toward Gloria. "Yes~?"
"Are you sure about this?" Gloria asked, her tone light but carrying a hint of curiosity. "Bringing her straight to the special underground training room, I mean. Isn’t that a bit... intense for a first lesson?"
Liana’s smile widened, her eyes carrying a glint of playful mischief. "Yes~ I’m sure. My dear little sister insisted she wants to know what real training is like. Remember she said yesterday about how she could handle anything I threw at her, that she didn’t need any ’basic’ training, and that she’d surpass me within a few months."
She paused, her voice turning sweet and melodic. "So... I decided to ’entertain’ her request and show her exactly what she asked for. After all, I wouldn’t want to disappoint my precious little sister~"
Felicia, who was still reading her book, smiled softly without looking up. "I wonder if they can even pass the first stage~"
Delya, who had just opened her chocolate jar and reached for a piece, smiled dreamily. "I think they couldn’t even handle the area before the first level~"
Gloria just shook her head, a wry smile on her lips. "Now, where’s Mimi?"
Liana smiled softly, glancing at the ring on her finger. It was a beautiful Deep Forest Emerald, its deep green surface shimmering with an inner light, the gemstone set in an elegant silver band engraved with delicate elven patterns. She turned her hand slightly, watching the light dance across the stone.
"I’ve already asked one of the maids to call for her, since Mimi didn’t respond to her mana talkie. Probably too busy playing, so I sent someone to fetch her directly."
Felicia let out a soft exhale before mumbling, "I wonder when my little sister will change into a proper princess... She’s still so cheeky, mischievous, and a troublemaker. All she wants to do is play and have fun."
Liana smiled gently. "I actually hope she never changes from who she is now. Those playful, cheeky behaviors remind me and Gloria of a certain someone when he was still a cheeky troublemaker himself. Even if Mimi isn’t quite as... mischievous as ’someone’, her spirit feels familiar."
Gloria nudged her glasses, a soft smile on her lips.
"I agree. Besides, that’s part of why our family is so fun and not boring. If everyone was prim and proper all the time, it would feel more like a royal court than a home. Her energy keeps things lively. A little chaos keeps things interesting. It reminds us that joy and laughter are just as important as duty and discipline."
She paused, her gaze drifting toward the direction of the garden. "And honestly, I think Young Master loves that about her too. He’s always had a soft spot for that kind of spirited energy."
Liana’s smile deepened, her expression warm with affection.
"True. Young Master loves all of his girls, each for something different. He cherishes our varied personalities, our strengths, our quirks, and even our little flaws. He doesn’t want us to be perfect princesses all the time. He wants us to be ourselves. That’s why he fell in love with each of us."
Delya smiled, glancing at Liana. "Mm~ Danna-sama told me the same thing, you know. He said he loves me just the way I am. That I should never try to change for anyone else."
Felicia nodded, closing her book and clasping her hands on her lap, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. "He... he told me the same... He never asks me to be someone I’m not."
Gloria nudged her glasses up, a sly smile playing on her lips as she gave a side glance to Liana. "Speaking of our husband~ Liana?"
"Hmm? Yes, Gloria~?"
Gloria wiggled her eyebrows, making a subtle hand gesture, finger sliding through a circle formed by her other hand. "Do you think Gracelle will finally be claimed by our beloved Young Master~? Or will she come back from the mission still blushing and stuttering every time he looks at her?"
Liana smiled softly, her gaze drifting up toward the sky. She let out a gentle, thoughtful hum.
"I hope she will. She’s been shy for far too long, and this mission is the perfect opportunity for her to finally open up to him. If she doesn’t..." Liana paused, her face turning calm and serious, her eyes carrying a glint of quiet determination. "Well... let’s just say she will face a suitable punishment for wasting such a perfect opportunity."
She smiled again, her tone softening as she glanced at everyone.
"Young Master has been patient with her, understanding her shyness. But even he has his limits. He is a man, after all. If she keeps hesitating, she may find herself waiting far longer than she expects, while someone else takes the place she was meant to have."
