Reborn As Noble Chapter 1402: Atmospheric Pressure ( 1402 )

Heres glanced at Celine and her bodyguards, Ashara and Jiowana, who were slowly calming down and rising to their feet with confused expressions. He leaned closer to Javier, Marcellus, Cedric, and Aelius, lowering his voice to a whisper.
"Still... I can’t believe Father released his aura like that. He’s usually so controlled."
Javier shook his head, his expression calm but thoughtful.
"No, it’s just Father’s usual... state. He probably didn’t even notice he was doing it. But the worst one happened when he met Jaigar and Gorak before. Both of them ended up vomiting blood, bleeding from their noses and ears, and collapsing from the pressure just from being in the same room as him."
Aelius rubbed his chin, his voice low and measured. "Well... they were both enemies, so it’s understandable. Father’s aura responds to threat or hostility, even when he’s not consciously directing it. Against someone he perceives as an enemy, the pressure becomes much more intense."
Javier nodded. "True. That’s why after Father eased off slightly, those two dumbasses lost all their arrogance and spilled everything without him even needing to use his Eyes of Truth. They were so broken by the sheer presence that they couldn’t even think about lying."
Celine, who had already risen to her feet, bowed her head apologetically. "I apologize for my unseemly display. I do not know what came over me. Please forgive me for any inconvenience I may have caused."
Javier and his brothers exchanged awkward glances, rubbing the backs of their heads with sheepish smiles.
"Ah, well... don’t worry about it. It happens."
Celine tilted her head, noticing that Javier’s hand was still faintly glowing. She looked at him curiously. "May I ask why only Ashara, Jiowana, and I were affected? You and your brothers seemed perfectly fine."
Javier glanced at his brothers before offering a casual smile.
"Well... perhaps it’s because we’ve gotten used to it. Living in this estate, there are certain... magical fluctuations from the wards and enchantments that protect the building. Newcomers sometimes feel them more intensely until their bodies adjust."
Celine frowned slightly, still puzzled. "I see... but what exactly was it that I felt?"
Javier hesitated, searching for the right words. "Ah... how do I explain it... errr..."
He glanced at his brothers for help, but they all looked away, clearly not wanting to answer either. "It’s... a kind of atmospheric pressure that sometimes occurs in certain parts of the estate. It can affect those who aren’t used to it. Think of it as... a sudden change in the air’s density, maybe? It’s nothing harmful, just... overwhelming at first. It’ll pass once you’ve spent more time here."
"I... I see." Celine nodded slowly, though a hint of confusion still lingered in her eyes.
Javier’s brothers smirked, subtly giving him hidden thumbs-up from behind their sleeves or at angles Celine couldn’t see. Javier shot them a sharp mental glare.
Gihhh! You’re all lucky you’re my siblings...
Before anyone could say more, Garius’s deep voice echoed from inside the meeting room, carrying a tone of mild surprise.
"Eh? I did? Ah... okay, Honey."
Celine blinked, turning toward Javier. "Husband?"
"Hmm? Yes, Celine?" Javier looked at her.
She fidgeted slightly, her gaze dropping to his still-glowing hand.
"Why is your hand..."
Before she could finish, Marcellus smoothly cut in, his voice light and casual. "Ah, we’ve already taken too much time. It’s better if we head to the meeting room now. Father is waiting."
Celine hesitated for a moment before nodding. "O... Okay."
Meanwhile.
Javier’s Personal Workshop.
Mimi was hanging upside down from a thick branch in front of her treehouse, her tail swaying slowly in lazy excitement. Delya sat on a cushion nearby, calmly nibbling on a piece of chocolate, her dreamy gaze fixed on Mimi’s playful antics.
Felicia sat gracefully at the base of the tree, leaning against the trunk with a book open in her lap, her tail curled neatly beside her as she read in quiet contentment. Nearby, Gloria had just finished setting up the portable magic grill, dusting off her hands with a satisfied smile.
Gracelle stood near Liana, leaning slightly as she watched her work. Liana was busy preparing a large slab of meat, her bare hands mixing a blend of spices into the raw surface with practiced, rhythmic motions.
"Gracelle?"
"Yes, Big Sister?"
Liana glanced up at her from the side, her hands still working the spices into the meat. "You still can’t talk properly with Young Master?"
Gracelle’s cheeks flushed. She fidgeted slightly, averting her eyes. "No... I... I still can’t."
Liana lifted the seasoned slab and placed it neatly onto another steel tray, wiping her hands on a towel before turning to face Gracelle fully. "I find it strange. Back when you were still a child, during Lady Mother’s birthday celebration... you were different. You even chased him after he ’stole’ your kiss during the dance."
Gracelle’s cheeks flushed a deep crimson. "Ah... umm... th-that was different."
"How so?" Liana shook her head with a soft smile, her eyes still fixed on the meat as she resumed her work. "I still remember arranging for you both to sleep together that night. And you even promised to become the best bride ever~"
Gracelle’s voice dropped into a soft, shy mumble. "Back then... Javier-sama was just... cute. Not like now..."
She paused, her cheeks burning as she continued, her words barely audible. "Now he’s... so handsome. Charming. Tall. His body is so lean and muscular... every time I see him, my heart races so fast I can’t think straight. My head feels like it’s spinning, and my words just... disappear."
Liana let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head as she continued preparing the meat. "Cute~? If only you knew that his cuteness back then was just a mask for his cheeky, mischievous, prankster nature. He hasn’t changed much, you know. He’s still the same troublemaker~, only different way than before~."
She paused, glancing at Gracelle with a warm, knowing smile. "But that still shouldn’t be a reason for you to be unable to talk to him properly."
Gracelle fidgeted, twirling a strand of her hair around her finger as she glanced away. "B-but... every time I see Javier-sama, my heart pounds so hard I feel like it’s going to burst. My mind goes blank, and I forget what I wanted to say... I... I can’t even look him in the eyes without feeling like I’m going to faint..."
