After a kiss with Javier, Liana is teased by Mimi and the other fiancées, including Gloria, who playfully argues with Liana over attention. Mimi then loudly expresses her desire for Javier, leading to a scolding from Liana for her lack of discretion. As Javier's stomach rumbles, they head to his workshop, with Javier resolving to upgrade his defenses to protect his family from potential threats.

Afternoon.

Javier’s Personal Workshop.

Inside the Kitchen.

Liana stood by the large stove, expertly cooking several huge slabs of meat in a massive pan. The rich aroma of seared meat filled the air as she carefully seasoned each piece, her movements graceful and precise. Gloria stood nearby, assisting her by cutting large onions and preparing fruits and other ingredients for the sauce.

"Liana?"

"Hmm? Yes, Gloria?"

Gloria paused for a moment, her knife hovering over the cutting board. "I’ve noticed something..."

Liana glanced over her shoulder, a teasing smile on her lips. "Hmm? What is it, Gloria? Don’t tell me you’re feeling like Mimi, getting a little... restless?"

Gloria narrowed her eyes, setting her knife down as she turned to face Liana. "I wasn’t thinking about that."

Liana let out a soft, amused laugh, her focus returning to the meat, flipping one of the steaks with practiced ease. "Then what is it? What did you want to say?"

Gloria exhaled softly, continuing to cut the large onion with practiced ease. "It’s about Gracelle."

"Hmm? What about her?"

Gloria reached for a new onion, peeling it before slicing it into thin, even pieces. "She was saved by Young Master, brought here, and now she’s regained some of her health. But I’ve noticed she and Young Master never really talk."

She paused, her knife stilling for a moment. "They’re not strangers. Before, Gracelle was the one who was always chasing after him, straightforward yet a little shy. But now... it’s like she’s avoiding him."

Liana smiled, her attention still on the meat sizzling in the pan. "I asked her the same thing. I asked her why she doesn’t go and talk to him, why she keeps her distance. But she just shakes her head, her face turning red, and doesn’t say a word."

Gloria paused her cutting, glancing at Liana with a thoughtful expression. "Shouldn’t we do something to help her? She’s clearly struggling, and I don’t want her to feel left out."

Liana smiled, scooping the perfectly cooked slab of meat onto a large plate. "I’ve already tried. I spoke to her, but she still clams up and turns red. So I guess... we just let time do its work."

"You sure?" Gloria asked, her tone uncertain. "What if Young Master thinks she’s not interested in him anymore? What if he starts to think she’s pulling away?"

Liana shook her head, chuckling softly as she placed another raw slab of meat onto the pan. "Young Master won’t think that." She turned her gaze to Gloria, her smile gentle but knowing. "For now, let’s just leave her be. If she continues like this, I’ll think of something else."

Gloria shrugged, continuing to place the cut onions into a huge bowl before washing the knife and moving on to slicing fruit. "If you say so."

Just as Liana was about to say something, both of them heard a loud munching sound from behind. They turned to see Mimi already devouring one of the freshly cooked meat slabs, her cheeks puffed out like a squirrel’s as she blew on the hot meat, her tail swaying happily.

"Mimi!"

"Nya?" Mimi’s cheeks were still puffed with meat as she glanced at Liana, chewing rapidly before swallowing with a sheepish grin. Grease glistened on her lips and a little smudge marked her cheek. "Ehehe... I’m just hungry, nya!"

Liana exhaled, shaking her head. "If you keep eating like that, you’ll be too full to eat with everyone else. Behave like a proper girl, especially a princess like yourself."

Mimi wiped her lips with the back of her hand, grinning nervously. "I just wanted a little taste, nya! I can still eat more after this!" She patted her stomach confidently.

Liana shook her head again, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Go wait at the table, or go keep Young Master company. The cooking is nearly done."

"Okay, nya!" Mimi grinned, but as Liana and Gloria turned back to their cooking, she sneakily reached for a fork and knife, her tail swaying mischievously. She stole a glance at both of them, then quickly grabbed another slab of meat, placed it on a separate plate, and tiptoed away, licking her lips in triumph.

Meanwhile.

In the front veranda, an open area before the courtyard, Felicia sat gracefully on a couch, reading a book with quiet composure. Beside her, Delya was curled up with her usual hot chocolate and chocolate jar, her expression dreamy and content.

Gracelle sat on a chair nearby, her elbows resting on the table, her chin propped on her knuckles as she gazed out at the courtyard. Her eyes were fixed on Javier, who was standing in the open space with Buddy, the massive orange pekko strutting beside him.

He’s really handsome now...

Back then, he was just cute and charming. But now... he’s grown into someone so confident, so strong, so... captivating.

She let out a soft, wistful sigh.

I still remember talking to him when we were both children, during his mother’s birthday party. I approached him as one of the noble young ladies, and after he kissed me for the first time, I knew I had fallen for him.

I promised him I would train harder to become his bride in the future.

We exchanged letters every time... until I fell sick.

And then he came and saved me from it. He treated me properly, performed what Liana called an "operation" to save my life from those cursed parasites. At that time, I didn’t even know the doctor who saved me was him.

But now... after knowing the truth, I don’t know why I feel so shy. Every time I think about him being the one who saved me, the one who saw me at my weakest, the one who is now so handsome and charming... my heart races and I can’t find the words.

She exhaled softly, her eyes still fixed on Javier, who was now climbing onto Buddy’s back as the pekko walked in excited circles.

I really want to talk to him...

But every time I try to approach him, my legs feel weak, my words get stuck in my throat, and my face burns. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

Oh God... please give me the courage to talk to him.

I really want to be able to talk to him properly. There’s so much I want to say to him... seeing him up close like this, his smile, his eyes, the way he carries himself with such confidence... he’s so charming it makes my heart ache.

Her eyes grew dreamy, a lovesick sigh escaping her lips.

He did approach me before... he greeted me every time we crossed paths. But I could never reply properly. I just nodded like a fool, unable to form a single word.

She let out another soft sigh, her cheek resting against the cool surface of the table as she slumped in her seat, her eyes still fixed on Javier, who was now laughing with Buddy, the pekko squawking happily as it darted around the open courtyard in excited circles.

"Javier-sama~"
