A fierce battle erupted between Angrar and his opponents, Karue and Vane, along with their respective members. Just as Karue and Vane were about to deliver fatal blows to Angrar, a powerful, unseen force froze everyone in place. Julius appeared, calming the situation with his overwhelming presence. He revealed that a new enemy had emerged, and threatened Angrar with his knights before declaring that one of the new enemies was as powerful as Karue, Vane, and Angrar combined.

A sharp glare was cast by Angrar towards Julius.

“Just you wait, Julius. Once I train harder, I’ll surpass your power.”

Julius responded with a pure, warm smile. “Aw~ Angrar. This is what I like about you. You never give up, and you always push yourself to be stronger. That determination is admirable.”

He indicated the seats with an open palm. “Now~ Please take a seat. And I apologize if my members were a bit… overzealous earlier. They mean well, but they can get carried away sometimes.”

Angrar let out a frustrated breath before casting his gaze around at everyone present, who had just experienced Julius’s overwhelming might. They were still trembling, their faces pale, with some unable to meet Julius’s stare. The oppressive weight of his power and the fear it evoked lingered in the atmosphere like an unspoken menace.

“Fine…” Angrar mumbled, taking his seat. “You’re all lucky Julius spoke for you. If not, I’d make sure to kill every single one of you.”

“Aw~ Don’t be like that,” Julius said softly, his voice carrying a soothing quality. “Just… let’s put this behind us for now, okay? We’re all here for the same purpose, after all. There’s no need for unnecessary bloodshed among allies.”

Julius then looked towards Vane, Karue, and all the remaining members who were slowly settling into their seats, their gazes deliberately avoiding his.

“In the future, I believe we can all work together without resorting to infighting. We are allies, after all, and there’s no benefit in weakening ourselves before we even face our true enemy. We should all focus on our mission rather than wasting energy on petty conflicts.”

He offered them a sweet, innocent smile, yet a heavy, invisible aura pressed down upon them, making the very air feel dense and suffocating. “If I see any of you doing something like this again… let’s just say, ‘someone’ would not be pleased.”

A profound silence fell over them, their expressions etched with tension and subdued apprehension. Angrar, meanwhile, casually leaned back, retrieved a bottle of wine, and took a long drink without hesitation.

“Whatever, Julius. Now… how about you start this meeting already? I have a more important mission after this, given by my beautiful goddess.”

“Uuu~” Julius pursed his lips and narrowed his eyes at Angrar. “Man~ You should learn to have some patience, you know~”

Angrar rolled his eyes, visibly annoyed by Julius’s playful affectation. “Ugh! Don’t give me that look, Julius. It’s annoying. Don’t tell me you’ve fallen in love with me? Sorry, not interested.”

Julius paused for a moment before erupting into hearty, genuine laughter. “Ahahahaha! Even if I wanted, I couldn’t, Angrar. I have my beautiful goddess too~ And of course… you know the chosen ones who serve me are all beautiful girls around me.”

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Stop showing off and start this meeting already.”

Once the initial tension subsided and everyone had calmed, Julius leaned forward, reached for his wine glass, and took a slow sip.

“Now… we all know our main mission, right?”

He placed the glass down and rested his hands on the table, his expression transitioning from lightheartedness to stern seriousness.

“As you all know, our mission is to drive out the demon filth that should not exist in this world. They are an abomination, a stain upon the creation of the gods. The Saint of Three Gods should be the one to purify this land and bring all races under the true faith.”

“And yet… there is a continent that has not fully submitted to the will of our goddess. The majority of humans in the Human Kingdom have strayed from the true faith. The elven races refuse to acknowledge our divine truth. The filthy beastkin cling to their primitive beliefs. And of course… the demons continue to defile this world with their very existence.”

His face grew sterner.

“And there is one man and his region, according to information gathered by our agents sent to the Human Kingdom on that continent, who is actively protecting these filthy races. Armand, led by this man, is shielding demons, beastkin, and elves from our righteous cause. It was supposed to be humanity’s duty to subjugate them, to keep them underfoot, not to protect them. But this man… this ruler… has chosen to shield them.”

Angrar turned his gaze to Julius. “From the information I gathered from my agents, it seems this particular person has a strong relationship with the Demon King.”

“Mm… That’s what I’ve also heard,” Julius concurred, his voice turning cold and focused.

“This man, according to our sources, is named Garius De Armand. Our goddess has mentioned that this man is dangerous. And according to our agents, the reason he protects those filthy races is because the majority of his region consists of demon worshippers, heretics who have turned their backs on the true faith. They harbor demons, consort with beastkin, and welcome elves as equals. It is an abomination that must be cleansed.”

“Mm… He has two strong sons. I believe their names are Marcellus and Cedric, correct?”

“Yes. From the information we’ve gathered, they faced two major wars and emerged victorious thanks to these two.”

“Hmm… I believe one is a powerful wizard, and the other is a paladin.”

“Indeed… such were the honors bestowed upon them by the former king, a reward for aiding the summoned heroes’ party.”

Julius grinned, a chilling glint flashing in his eyes. “However, those incompetent fools were merely disposable pawns, nothing more.”

Angrar let out a dark chuckle. “Heh. It’s fortunate they failed, isn’t it? Without those insignificant beings, no hindrances remain for our current endeavors. The summoned heroes from the Human Kingdom were intended as guardians of their continent, positioned to obstruct us. But with their demise, our path is now unobstructed. Their deaths pave a clear route for us to achieve our objective.”

Julius inclined his head, his smile broadening. “Our goddess’s strategy is impeccable. The human kingdom’s summoned heroes served as a bulwark, yet they have been eliminated. Now, our undivided attention can be directed towards our true mission: the world’s purification and the subjugation of all races under the singular, true faith.”

“Mm… And Garius De Armand represents the final significant impediment in our progression.”

Karue let out a sigh, slumping back into her chair with an expression of vexation. “I must question the protracted planning for this operation. Seven years spent in waiting, intelligence gathering, and strategic positioning. Why did we delay our decisive move?”

Julius reclined in his seat, a serene smile gracing his lips. “It is because our goddess desired absolute readiness. She orchestrated the weakening of other continents, the downfall of their heroes, and the descent of their nations into disarray. Without widespread chaos and division, our mission would have encountered substantially greater opposition. Now, with their defenses in ruins, the way is clear for our assault.”

Angrar scoffed at Karue. “Observe Amazarak, the Halfling Kingdom, and the Dwarven Nation on that very continent. The Halfling Kingdom teeters on the brink of civil strife, devoid of a unifying leader. Amazarak has lost its sovereign, its throne lies vacant, and its populace is dispersed. The Dwarven Nation, meanwhile, is too frail to perceive the encroaching greater peril. All is crumbling precisely as our goddess ordained.”
