Reborn As Noble Chapter 1241: Waiting for the Right Moment ( 1241 )
Right as Gorak prepared to speak further, a series of footsteps resounded from the corridor beyond.
“Hah! I bet it’s those lowly shitheads.”
The woman grinned slyly, folding her arms. “It must be them, Sir Gorak. Those low-born scum you were griping about for sure.”
Gorak folded his arms with a sinister grin, his gaze locked on the massive double doors as they creaked open.
A man clad in a dark robe entered, trailed by five girls in matching robes.
“Ah~ No surprise they’re late. Heh…” Gorak grinned maliciously. “If it isn’t the fifth and weakest hero serving that lowly goddess Rafazelia. Were you delayed because you needed to recharge your dick to screw all those girls trailing you? Huh? Jaigarrrrr~”
Jaigar narrowed his eyes and raised his chin, his voice grave and icy.
“Watch your tongue, Gorak. I won’t stand for you mocking my goddess Rafazelia. Keep belittling her, and I’ll unleash my full power to punish you, proving I’m no weakling whose brain sits in his groin instead of his skull.”
“What did you just say, trash?”
Jaigar laughed darkly, his words laced with contempt.
“I said I hate teaming up with braindead, brainrot trash like you. Were it not for my beautiful Goddess Rafazelia’s order, I wouldn’t share the same room with you. Your armpits reek, and your body stinks like you haven’t washed in months! How does your Supreme Goddess Zeyrinda even endure the smell while you fuck her? Or does she shut her eyes and fantasize about other heroes as you grunt and sweat over her?”
Gorak grabbed the hilt of his enormous sword and rose to his feet, his chair screeching harshly on the stone floor.
“Seems someone’s eager to meet death tonight.”
Gorak’s team rose together, clutching their weapons tightly, their stares fixed on Jaigar’s crew.
Meanwhile, Jaigar’s girls drew their swords, prepared their staffs, and loaded arrows onto their magic bows.
Jaigar laughed darkly. “My task is to hand over the ammunition and ensure this letter reaches you. I’m only here because she commanded it.”
He stopped, his eyes flashing with icy mirth. “But if you crave a test of strength, I’d gladly slaughter you here and now for insulting my beautiful goddess Rafazelia.”
Gorak clenched his teeth, his grip turning his knuckles pale on his sword. “Hah! Without my Supreme Goddess’s order, I’d wipe you all out in a single strike. This meeting’s over. Drop the letters on the table and get lost. I refuse to waste another moment staring at your worthless mug.”
Jaigar sneered. “I don’t want to linger in this foul room either. I’ve got another assignment from my beautiful goddess.” He nodded at one of his girls, signaling her to bring the letter and report.
The girl inclined her head, advanced, set the papers at the table’s distant edge, then glided back to Jaigar’s side.
Jaigar spun to depart but halted, throwing a scornful glance back over his shoulder.
“Best of luck on your mission, Gorak. Not that you’ll require it—you’ll likely stumble over your massive ego before starting. Just stay out of my way. I’ve got far weightier matters than nursing a thug like you.”
“Hah! You’re just trash with a tiny dick. Now vanish from my view before I chop off your head and hang it as a trophy on my wall!” Gorak bellowed, waving them off disdainfully.
Jaigar chuckled while striding out the doors, his girls close on his heels, their steps reverberating down the hall until silence fell.
Gorak pounded his fist on the table, his features contorted in fury.
“That cocky prick… I’ll ensure he regrets his arrogance one day.”
The woman next to him grinned, reclining in her seat. “Hold your horses, Sir Gorak. Plenty of chances to even the score once the true fight kicks off.”
Meanwhile.
Mathrias Region.
Mathrias Estate.
In the courtyard.
Liana stood elegantly, hands joined before her, Buddy at her left and Giddie at her right. From afar, she observed Garius with his typical stern, grave look, hands behind his back, Javier positioned behind him. Alf and Erinette waited nearby, standing with respect.
I wonder what they are talking about?
But given their serious expressions, and my long acquaintance with the Armand family, it’s surely another task, mission, or quest for Young Master.
Let’s hope it’s not too grave.
But I do wonder about the group Young Master was monitoring on his mana PC yesterday.
Is it related to what his father is discussing with him right now?
Liana looked at Javier, who stood solemnly, addressing Garius in a quiet, deferential voice.
From their discussion, it appears connected to those enigmatic factions… and the perpetrators who caused Gracelle's torment.
Young Master seems destined to grow even busier following this.
Arranging for Gracelle to encounter him earlier proved wise. With missions and duties piling up for Young Master, she might not see him for quite some time.
I wonder if we'll be sidelined once more. Young Master isn't the type to endanger his wives' lives or security. He'll probably insist we remain in a secure location while he tackles everything alone.
Garius, positioned beside Javier, lifted his gaze to the heavens, his face deep in contemplation.
“Javier.”
“Yes, Esteemed Father.”
“This upcoming mission carries significant danger. Without knowing the new foe's strength, their preparations, or any secret aces up their sleeve, I forbid any rash actions from you.”
His eyes shifted to Javier, hands remaining folded behind his back.
“Regarding those who inflicted suffering on Gracelle… caution and thorough planning are essential. Charging straight at their stronghold would be folly. Hanarak isn't a foe we can take lightly—they're sly, highly structured, and perilous. Dismissing them could prove deadly.”
“I understand, Father.”
“Mm.” Garius gave a nod. “Concerning the groups you spotted via your mana satellite and Sky Eyes feed… they'll need time to arrive at their target. Horses are their mode of travel, and the journey spans great distances. Fortunately, your mana satellite and Sky Eyes allow us to observe and follow their progress remotely.”
He halted briefly, voice resolute.
“However… let's address this after Aelius and Athine’s wedding concludes. Dividing our focus during such a crucial ceremony is unwise. Prioritize the wedding arrangements for now, and vigilantly track their path. We'll strike at the optimal moment.”
