Reborn As Noble Chapter 1194: Final Prep Before the Cut ( 1194 )

Once Gracelle was properly attired in the surgical gown, Javier bared her midsection by opening the fabric.
Liana cast a questioning glance toward him. "Young Master?"
"Yes, is there something you need?" he replied, expertly folding the hem of the gown upward. He tucked it firmly beneath the swell of her breasts and positioned a Chux pad below her to safeguard the surgical linens.
A mischievous smile touched Liana's lips. "You forced her into that gown, yet..."
Javier narrowed his eyes momentarily before focusing back on the task at hand. "This is all part of the standard protocol for surgical preparation using the clipping technique," he specified while reaching for his magical mana clipper. "This tool will allow me to clear all hair surrounding the incision site, which is essential to minimize the risk of infection."
He shot a look toward Myra and her pair of assistants. "Myra, Kalea, Juria."
"Yes, Your Highness?" they chimed in unison.
"Pay close attention to this process. That includes you, Liana. This is a skill you are required to master as well."
Liana offered a graceful nod and a smile. "As you command, Young Master."
He engaged the mana clipper, aiming it at Gracelle’s abdomen. The instrument produced a soft, luminescent glow and a subdued hum as it meticulously removed every follicle from her skin, leaving the surface perfectly smooth. "This process guarantees a sterile, hair-free zone, significantly lowering the chance of post-operative infection."
Next, Javier retrieved the mechanical scrub kit, which contained antiseptic soap and a sterile brush. He demonstrated the correct scrubbing motion, using gentle circular patterns to cleanse the area thoroughly without irritating the delicate flesh.
Once finished scrubbing, he utilized dry gauze to wick away the lather, ensuring the surgical field was impeccably dry.
He then produced the final item: a sponge applicator saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol. "This step is known as the chemical prep," he explained. "We coat the surgical site to ensure total disinfection." He carefully painted the solution across the designated zone.
After allowing three minutes for the area to air-dry, he addressed the room. "We are now prepared to transport her to the primary operating room. Kalea, Juria."
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"Proceed to the next chamber, sanitize your hands thoroughly, and switch into sterile surgical attire. Await our arrival in the final room, where the operating table is prepared."
Once the assistants departed, Javier verified the readings on the monitoring equipment and checked on Liana and Myra.
"Let us hope for a favorable outcome," Javier muttered, gazing at Gracelle’s abdomen, where dark vessels pulsed beneath her skin like serpentine parasites. He raised his hand, channeling his potent Purify skill, which caused the dark veins to go momentarily dormant.
He drew a steady breath through his mask before releasing it slowly. He retrieved two glowing white cubes, placing one carefully between her legs and another resting above her breasts.
"Young Master?" Liana whispered.
"These will ensure this living curse parasite cannot escape during the procedure. The cube captures and seals it, much like the method I employed long ago to trap those Celestial beings within Gumarak’s vessel."
He watched the white cubes hovering near the stretcher and the one floating above the patient's stomach.
"These cubes are designed to encapsulate any form of curse. If they could contain a Celestial—the most formidable entities I have ever encountered—I am certain they will suffice here."
He glanced toward Liana, his voice softening. "Is that right, Ari?"
Liana’s expression shifted, and a different voice emanated from her lips.
"Hmm? Aria and I have never claimed to be Celestial, you know."
Javier let out a light laugh. "I am aware. But as you stated, since people are unsure what to classify you, Aria, and the others as, they simply default to calling you Celestial, do they not?"
"Mm... regardless, I would never label myself that way." She let out a yawn. "Hmm?"
Liana leaned in, inspecting the abdomen. "Ugh! That worm curse. How vile!"
"You recognize this entity, Ari?"
"Obviously. It is a living curse," Ari chimed in through Liana’s mouth, her tone shy yet sharp. "It resembles a worm emerging from a corpse, but this specimen has been twisted and saturated with dark energy and curses."
"So..." Javier looked to Liana. "Can it be extracted?"
"Hmm? Yes. Since it resides within her, Purify will not work unless you find a way to apply it directly to the core. Human skin serves as a natural barrier against purification magic; it protects the host, but it also creates resistance against deep-seated afflictions like this."
Ari continued softly. "Unless you can open the infected area without ending her life, you cannot cleanse those..." Liana leaned back, visibly revolted by the sight of the dark veins. "Ugh... such a disgusting parasite."
Javier smiled. "It is a relief to hear your assessment, Ari."
Ari squinted at him. "Do not suggest you intend to flay her stomach open, perform a purification, and then stitch her up with a healing skill? You know full well the risk involved; cutting her open that way would likely end the host's life first."
Javier smirked. "I have no such intention. Even if I believed in that approach, the risk is far too great."
Ari peered at him. "Then how exactly do you plan to purify such a repulsive thing?"
"The same approach you mentioned, but..." Javier smiled. "Performed with more professional precision and lower risk. Since you confirmed that Purify works on this, I have full confidence in my method."
"Oh... well... it is no concern of mine. Just keep it away from Liana. If it were to slip and breach her vessel, I would have to use my own skills to purge it from within, an act which..." She hesitated, her tone brimming with disgust. "...would be incredibly unpleasant."
"Hmm? You possess the power to eliminate it?"
Ari smiled. "Certainly. With my power, this parasite would be eradicated in mere seconds, but... it only functions within Liana, since I inhabit her. The same applies to Gloria and Aria. Anyway, if there is nothing else, I shall return to my slumber~"
Liana smiled, whispering to herself. "You neglected to mention one final thing, Ari~"
"Eh? What?"
"He is my future husband, and by extension, yours as well. So, what were you supposed to say?"
"Ehhhh!? He is not my... umm... husband."
"But he is my husband, and you reside within me. Both you and Aria acknowledged this before..."
"Ugh! Fine!" She squirmed. "I am going to sleep... husband..."
