’True Paradise’ manifests only what a person’s heart desires the most, and for Rio, this peaceful life in a secluded place with a small family was what he desired the most.

He wanted a safe place far away from the wicked eyes of the world for them both!

This was his ’True Paradise’ and the dream that pushed him forward on his ’Path’ to keep working harder and harder every day.

Hearing Rio’s hoarse voice, Nebo Dahaka frowned a bit but nodded his head.

"I know... it’s very beautiful; the original ’Temple of Origin’ was located in a similar place, and I used to live a life just like this..."

"For a long time... the Nebo Civilization ushered in peace and prosperity... I still miss that... thank you for showing this paradise to me..."

Although Rio’s body was slowly becoming more and more transparent and was on the verge of disappearing at any time, he was feeling very happy in this moment.

His final bits and fragments of emotions that were still clinging on to his heart before had suddenly been lit aflame for one last time, and Rio knew they would disappear completely soon enough.

And just like Rio expected after just a few seconds of bliss, Rio’s heart broke apart into pieces.

A massive hole opened in his chest as the heart inside was finally destroyed into nothingness, causing his transparent body to become even weaker and blood to flow from his mouth even more.

The smile on Rio’s face slowly disappeared, and his facial expressions slowly became completely emotionless and still.

As if to symbolize the collapse of dream and the heart, the ’True Paradise,’ originally in the form of an endless grassland, started to crumble apart right in front of the eyes of the Demon King and Rio.

In just a matter of a second, the entire realm of ’True Paradise’ was shattered into pieces as if it wanted to reflect the reality that Rio had no more dreams left to chase.

"My world authority is ’True Paradise’... it can only manifest a paradise if the person affected by it has one... if it’s someone with no dream or destiny left in them, there would be no paradise left to manifest for them..."

The Demon King sighed as he shook his head and noticed the two of them had already returned to the rooftop of the Demon King Palace after the collapse of the temporary realm.

The outer world was completely unaffected by Rio and Nebo Dahaka’s battle, and barely a few seconds had passed since it began, but the change this battle had brought was enormous.

"I have fulfilled your wish, Rio... you now have no more links to this universe; even the body you possess is an outlier for this world and does not belong to anything in existence..."

"You are now completely impervious to all interference by the laws and rules of this world, as the universe doesn’t even know you exist..."

"For the universe, ’Rio Flash’ has died completely."

While the words spoken by the Demon King were harsh, they were the truth, and this was what Rio had wished for all along.

His empty chest had no heart left to beat for anyone or anybody; he could not even remember the familiar face of the girl he had liked for years, and he could not even remember the warm smiles of his friends anymore.

The faces, the feelings, the dreams, the smiles, and everything that held Rio anchored to this universe was destroyed, and he was no longer obligated to think of anything.

Now, Rio was a complete anomaly and could seek further advancement in the more perfect shape and form.

But.

For some reason, the image of that mansion located in the field of flowers being destroyed kept appearing in Rio’s mind over and over.

The blurry face of a golden-haired girl kept bothering him for some reason.

Rio could not remember who or what all of this was, but he could tell that it was something important.

’I think I am forgetting something... what was it...’

Just when Rio was stuck in confusion and an emotionless state of existence, his eyes fell on the hilt of his sword, and he noticed a cute lucky charm bound to it.

’This is...’

As if the blurry memory had suddenly become clear, Lia’s face reappeared in Rio’s mind, and tears flowed out of Rio’s eyes unconsciously without him even knowing it.

Even though Rio could not feel anything for Lia anymore, his body, his soul, his sword intent, his consciousness, and everything else still urged him to remember that familiar face and the memories he had.

Rio’s trembling hands slowly clenched the lucky charm tightly as tears fell from his eyes endlessly.

"How can I forget... even if my heart is broken... I still have you..."

"Lia... my second heart! My Guiding Moonlight and Eternal Dream!"

Rio clenched the lucky charm desperately like a drowning person struggling to hold onto a straw.

He brought the lucky charm close to this empty chest and closed his moist eyes slowly.

"I may lose myself... but as long as you are there by my side, I will be able to find my guiding ’Path’ once again... thank you for everything..."

As if Rio’s declaration had changed something fundamental in his soul and very being, his fading body started to solidify once again, and the broken hole in his chest began closing at a rapid pace!
