"Unfortunately, the fairy race likely cannot relocate to this continent in the near future... the miasmic corruption here has become too severe..."

After a thousand years of war and endless destruction, the demon continent was scarred beyond recognition, and miasma had already fused with the very fabric of existence in this place.

It was now nearly impossible for fairies to reclaim this land and establish a new fairy nation here again.

"Well, the only hope is that we will win and eradicate miasma... if we win, fairies will get to live here sooner or later..."

Hearing Bela’s words, Allen glanced at the starry sky and spoke in a determined tone.

"Not ’IF’ we will win for sure. We have perfected this plan for years and have made all preparations that were possible; now all that’s left is the final journey, the final battle..."

"The battle to decide the fate of the universe... that’s all there is to it..."

At Allen’s words, Bela smiled, but a trace of sadness flashed in her eyes as she spoke,

"Unfortunately, I will not be there to see this new ’Free’ world that would be created after this final battle..."

"If I could make a wish to the heavens, I would ask for just ’One Day,’ just one day of freedom..."

"I would love to roam and explore the beauty of a world devoid of miasmic corruption and rot... even if it’s only just for a single day... sigh..."

Although Bela spoke those words from the very bottom of her heart, she knew that it was impossible for this wish of hers to come true.

The sacrifice that she was going to make would soon erase her existence from the very records of the strings of destiny.

Even the deeds, the information, and the tales about her would become incomplete and broken after her sacrifice, and people would not even be able to properly remember her true name, let alone her reason for death.

Even if someone finds out about their reason for death, they would not be able to talk about it in front of others unless the ’World’ itself permits it.

What awaited her after the sacrifice was a ’Death’ with no chance of an ’Afterlife’ and no chance of reincarnation.

She was going to be erased from the very existence of the world.

"Don’t worry... I will accompany you in death right after."

Allen’s words stirred Bela’s heart and made her feel even sad, but she could not deny them either.

Possessing the ’Sword of Promised Destiny’ was like an ordinary human holding a nuclear reactor in his palms.

The power unleashed was so strong that the individual holding it would not live long and would die soon after.

Despite being the blessed of both the heavenly will and the universe, Allen was still not powerful enough to suppress the power of the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ completely.

The power of the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ was the very culmination of the authority of the ’Origin’; it was a power of a ’God of Creation.’ It granted its user ’True Omnipotence’ for a brief moment in time.

Unless an SSS-rank ’True God’ held the weapon, this sword could not be tamed by anyone at all.

Unfortunately, Allen was incapable of ascending to the realm of True Gods.

It wasn’t that Allen did not have enough talent or ability to reach that realm; the main issue was that the world hadn’t yet evolved to a level that it could bear the burden of a ’True SSS’ ranker appearing inside of it.

The information that Ivan had given Allen clearly stated that the conflict between Allen and the God of Decay was supposed to happen much much later in time.

The universe needed more time to evolve to a state where it could support Allen’s ascension to the realm of True Gods, but the God of Decay started this conflict ahead of schedule, forcing the world’s destruction to come sooner!

Miasma helped the ’God of Decay’ corrode several ’laws’ of the universe and weaken the restrictions placed on him, thus helping him ascend to a ’Pseudo SSS’ rank level, at the cost of damaging the world.

If things kept going like that, miasma would slowly break all restrictions and forcefully ascend the ’God of Decay’ to a true god level.

The appearance of a being like that inside the universe would shatter the very core of the universe, and the burden placed on the ’Origin’ would destroy all ’laws’ of existence.

’God of Decay’ ascending to become a ’true god’ would be equivalent to the destruction of the universe!

If the universe had time to evolve to a higher state, this threat of destruction due to the appearance of an SSS ranker would have meant nothing, but the God of Decay did not give the world this chance of stabilizing itself.

Due to this reason, Allen, who was supposed to confront miasma only after reaching rank SSS, was now forced to create the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ and sacrifice his own life to deal with miasma before the intended time.

Trying to deal with miasma before the intended time was a major gamble, but the ’Origin,’ the heavenly will, and the world had no other choice left, as the threat of destruction had become too overwhelming to ignore.

"I never thought that my life would come to an end so abruptly... I had always believed that once everything was over... once my mission as a hero was over, I would get to live a normal life like everyone else too..."

"But I guess a ’Hero’ has to remain a hero till the very end... A ’Hero’ like me only has one ending, ’Death’... if I do not die, I would not be able to fulfill this lifelong mission of mine..."

"For the sake of the world, for the sake of the future, and for the sake of a better tomorrow... I must walk this ’Path’ till the very end..."
