Reborn as an Extra Chapter 737: Forgotten World, Cyria-229. Part-5.

The paradox of a flourishing settlement within that secluded valley, contrasting sharply with the barren, miasma-infested exterior, felt profoundly unnatural.
"The threads of fate for this entire planet are in disarray, yet they remain whole within this single location..."
"Furthermore... I'm detecting immense destiny fluctuations originating from the altar in the central plaza..."
"What kind of place is this?"
Lia, along with everyone else in the group, was bewildered. Their gazes turned to Kai, seeking answers, but even he could only offer a helpless shake of his head.
"The current condition of this planet is entirely unknown to me..."
"According to ancient dwarven lore, this planet was meant to be a technological marvel, boasting powerful megastructures like planetary discs and engines..."
"However, its present state... appears drastically altered and almost unrecognizable..."
"Half-orcs should not even exist on this planet!"
Kai had no clue how these half-orcs came to be here. Their technology was evidently rudimentary, and there were no signs of any spacecraft. It was highly probable that these half-orcs were either expelled by a spatial anomaly or a low-tier dungeon, landing here randomly!
"Perhaps I can extract some information if I severely injure their leaders and force them to spill the beans..."
Upon hearing Link's proposition, Riya merely rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"Absolutely not, Link. That's not your style. Please refrain from such actions; we can attempt peaceful negotiations instead..."
"I can even offer my healing magic as a trade for them revealing all their secrets..."
Lia, meanwhile, calmly shrugged her shoulders.
"Why go through all that trouble? I can simply manipulate the destinies of a few of their leaders and compel them to reveal everything immediately..."
Hearing both Link's and Lia's proposals, Kai couldn't help but sigh.
'As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. These individuals are friends with Rio for a reason; just as he employs peculiar methods, so do they...'
'It seems only Riya possesses a semblance of common sense amongst this group of oddities...'
Just as the group pondered the optimal method to extract information from the half-orcs, a barrage of hundreds of thousands of colossal spears, forged from dense miasma, rained down from the planet's upper atmosphere! One of these spears was directly targeting the small settlement!
The half-orcs within the settlement noticed the descending miasmic spears, and sheer panic erupted almost instantaneously.
An elder, exuding the aura of a peak S-rank cultivator, emerged from a concealed underground location within the ruins, his gaze fixed grimly upon the falling miasmic spears.
Shortly thereafter, two more S-rankers appeared in a hurry. One was a colossal half-orc, towering to a height that dwarfed buildings, while the other was a frail half-orc woman who appeared to be wounded.
Link and the others observed the three S-rank half-orcs, but their astonishment was directed more towards the miasmic spear itself, which carried a disturbingly familiar energy signature!
"Wait... am I imagining things, or does that miasmic spear carry a trace of Rio's sword intent?"
Link's observation startled Lia, prompting her to immediately activate her destiny strings scanning ability to analyze the situation!
"No, these spear's threads are visible to me... it's not Rio's creation. If it were, I wouldn't be able to discern its intricacies..."
"However... the lingering sword intent is undeniably Rio's... Could it be that Rio is engaged in combat in outer space, and his opponent retaliated with miasmic spears, which Rio deflected using his sword intent?..."
"That might explain the faint trace of sword intent present..."
Rio's sword intent was exceptionally potent and aggressively invasive. Upon contact with anything other than his own body, it would infiltrate and attempt to obliterate the target from within! The miasmic spear, having been grazed by Rio's sword intent during deflection, was now subject to its destructive influence. The lingering intent was attempting to shatter the spear, but appeared to be faltering due to insufficient power.
"This is a perfect opportunity to play the hero and rescue the damsel in distress!"
Link's eyes gleamed as he shot towards the falling spear, shouting with gusto!
"Foul spear! You shall not harm these innocent people below!"
"Fear not, everyone! The valiant hero, Link Rex, is here to save the day!! Hehe~"
Link's entire form began to radiate a brilliant light, as light elementals, imbued with potent purification properties, enveloped him and coalesced around his fist!
A solitary punch from Link obliterated the miasmic spear, its fragments dissolving completely. His purification ability neutralized all the miasma, protecting the half-orc tribe from harm. Having vanquished the miasmic threat, Link descended towards the half-orc settlement, a triumphant grin gracing his features like a true hero. The assembled orcs regarded him with a mixture of awe and profound admiration. Eager children swarmed around him, clamoring to offer praise and enthusiastically shake his hand, a clear testament to their respect. Witnessing Link bask in the adoration, Riya and Lia exchanged weary glances before swiftly joining his side, assuming the roles of the hero's trusted companions. The strategy of infiltrating the half-orcs by feigning heroism and then leveraging their trust for information was undeniably audacious. However, the group found themselves with no viable alternatives, compelling them to fully commit to their act. Despite the half-orcs communicating in an unfamiliar tongue, their fortune was to have Kai present, whose translation skills proved indispensable. Without his linguistic abilities, their meticulously laid plan would undoubtedly have faltered. Before long, the trifecta of S-rank half-orcs comprising the tribe's leadership emerged to formally greet the heroes' contingent, extending a most fervent welcome to each member.
