Lia manipulated Ivy's Strings of Destiny to shatter the harmony in her body, mind, and soul, creating a fatal weakness. With a powerful sword thrust, she disintegrated Ivy's body, leaving only her head intact. Ivy thanked her friend in her final moments before fading with a satisfied smile, deepening Lia's hatred for miasma and her sorrow over Ivy's tragic past. Comforted by Rio's embrace, Lia yearned to go home as the dungeon portal opened and James and Kai approached.

"Are you leaving... Lia?..."

With reluctance in their eyes, Lyria, Miria, and little Bela gazed at Lia as she and her companions prepared to depart.

These beings were merely recreated memories, incapable of understanding that their realm—this dungeon—would soon dissolve into oblivion, yet they could still experience deep sadness.

Not only did Lia rescue Lyria and Miria; she liberated thousands of fairies, assisted Bela and Nova, and halted vast armies while staking her very life.

Having seen Nova's video and witnessed human savagery in the earlier clash, Lyria and Miria overcame their fear of humans to beg Lia's pardon.

"We ran away and avoided you because we thought all humans were bad... but you are a good person, Lia..."

"Can’t you stay in Kenorland with us? The human world is so cruel and sad-"

Lia interrupted before Lyria and Miria could finish speaking.

"The human world is indeed filled with cruelty and sadness, but that’s not all there is to it... if there is darkness, then there will always be light too..."

"And if I run away just because the human world is bad, then who will help correct it?"

"Instead of running from it, I would choose to correct it; I would choose to change it and make it better so that someday, innocent people like you can also visit it..."

While Lyria and Miria’s grasp of the human empire lingered in bygone eras, and the present empire had evolved dramatically, it still harbored numerous unresolved issues.

Despite the mighty SS-ranker Ashtel Rex toiling relentlessly day and night, countless troubles persisted within the nation.

Crime, rogue awakeners, frequent dungeon breaks, and more—such threats demanded fierce suppression and total eradication.

Yet Lia had no intention of fleeing from these challenges.

To truly resolve any issue, facing it directly and devising a fix proved far superior to mere evasion!

"We are friends, and will always be... In future, whenever you encounter troubles, I will be there to help you..."

The reassuring words from Lia finally lifted the sorrow from the little ones, bringing smiles to their faces.

Unbeknownst to them, uttering those promises drained much of Lia’s inner resolve.

She was aware this dungeon faced imminent erasure; such comforting vows held no real weight.

As the burden grew too heavy for Lia to bear alone, Rio grasped her hand firmly, lending her the vital support she craved.

Silent up to that moment, Nova retrieved an odd crystal from her space ring and handed it over to Lia.

"Take this... you helped save everyone... it was supposed to be my job to keep them safe, but you did it better than I could have ever hoped for..."

"This is a broken part of the ’Fountain of Elemental Life’... you can use this to upgrade that sword of yours to the next level..."

Lia’s blade, ’Ambient Silver,’ stood as a pinnacle S-rank weapon—a cherished family heirloom ideally suited to her S-rank power—yet her boundaries now surpassed mere S-rank.

Her potential stretched far beyond this stage, demanding an eventual upgrade to her sword.

Nova addressed this need for Lia right then and there.

The legendary ’Fountain of Elemental Life’ served as a mythical artifact, and incorporating its fragment into ’Ambient Silver’ would surely elevate Lia’s sword to superior heights!

"Thank you..."

With a joyful smile, Lia stored the item in her space ring while waving goodbye to her fresh allies.

Kai shifted back to his tiny cat shape and leaped onto Lia’s shoulder, while Rio placed ’RJ’ upon his own.

James offered a slight bow to Nova and the rest before declaring,

"Thank you for treating my daughter so well and being friends with her! We are pressed on time or we would have loved to spend more time here..."

Rio nodded too, expressing his gratitude in kind.

Having bid adieu to Nova and the others, Lia gently stroked little Bela’s head.

"Grow up to be a beautiful happy girl..."

Though Lia recognized Bela’s destiny as corrupted by miasma, marked by a death riddled with regrets, she clung to the wish that in another timeline or universe, young Bela might skip healing that flower that fateful day.

Thus, she could enjoy a ordinary, joyful existence, her true abilities forever hidden from discovery.

As Astra had proclaimed, ’At least some hope must exist... the world cannot exist without hope...’ Lia yearned to nurture that hope within, believing a world where Bela thrived in bliss lingered out there somewhere.

With final goodbyes exchanged, Lia and Rio joined hands and soared toward the dungeon’s exit portal alongside James and the group.

’Farewell Fairyland...’

After Lia took her final leave of that place, she stepped through the portal alongside the others, emerging into the underground cave network beyond.

At that moment, the ancient dungeon portal, standing for centuries, finally sealed itself shut and disappeared forever.

The ’laws’ of the ’world’ within a dungeon follow their unique rules; pulling out recreated figures like Nova and the rest from a history-reenacting dungeon like this one is utterly impossible.

Had it been a different kind of dungeon, Rio could have snapped their soul bonds to the dungeon and extracted them without trouble.

Yet since Nova and the others were merely echoes of memory, not living beings, bringing them out remained impossible.

"Are you heading to the association headquarters first?"

James’s question jolted Rio’s memory—he’d ditched his mission halfway through.

"Well, I’ll drop you all at the Silver mansion first; then I’ll head to the association later..."

James nodded at Rio’s reply, eyed Lia’s sorrowful face, and added,

"That’s good... stay by Lia’s side for a while..."
