Bela's unparalleled healing powers, revealed by reviving a wilted flower, propelled her to national fame amid global chaos from invading races. Besieged by seekers, organizations, and kidnappers, her parents fled with her on a ship toward seclusion. Caught in a storm with powerful pursuers approaching from the Maiqeulla continent, they hid Bela in an enchanted chest, whispering eternal love before facing the threat.

Bela's parents, mere ordinary folks, stood no chance against mighty awakeners, and their awakener companion ranked only low.

Bela herself couldn't confront S-rankers, viewed by commoners as near-equivalent to roaming catastrophes.

Back then, with no SS-rankers around, S-rankers ruled the world and reigned as the planet's mightiest entities!

Mighty S-rankers could shrug off nuclear blasts without a mark, making their presence in an army a huge national shield during that era.

Though humans lacked the innate gifts of dragons or elves, their vast numbers greatly boosted the odds of prodigies emerging!

When Bela hit ten years old, teens who were about fifteen at her birth had awakened and risen to powerful S-rankers within that decade!

By 2030, as Bela's parents embarked on their journey, humanity boasted dozens of S-rankers, with three dispatched straight after Bela and her family!

Bela's parents got seized without resisting a moment, while the mage woman who fought back was slain instantly!

Trapped in that tiny chest, Bela heard the cries and shrieks from outside; she caught her parents' despair; she heard the final agonized yell of the kind woman who'd aided them all along!

For a ten-year-old like her, it was a deeply scarring event, yet her strong faith in her parents made her obey their instructions without question!

She clamped her tiny hands over her little mouth to stifle any sobs or whimpers while weeping for her parents, curled up in that cramped chest.

Helpless tears flowed from her, but she stayed utterly silent, even holding her breath to evade detection!

"You think you can hide your daughter in a random chest and escape!? Are you idiots! Do you not understand how powerful S-rankers are!?"

"You are really pathetic!"

To Bela's horror, the S-rankers swiftly located her, piercing the chest's camouflage with ease.

The mage lady's enchantment on the chest came from a low-ranker; such weak magic couldn't fool elite S-rankers like them.

Despite Bela making no noise at all, capture came effortlessly for her!

"Take that chest! Hmph! Pathetic! They dare to hide from us! Just you wait; once we are back to the mainland, you will understand what real cruelty means!"

Following the S-ranker's command, a subordinate reached for the concealed chest, but Bela's father lunged ahead and chomped his hand fiercely!

"Ahh!!! This f*cker!"

It seemed the 'World' itself refused to let Bela turn into a mere pawn in war; before the awakener shoved her father aside, a gigantic whirlpool erupted in the ocean!

"Wha!? What is happening!? The flow of mana changed so abruptly!?"

Huge waves swept away every awakener plus Bela's parents, catching even those S-rankers off-guard amid the sudden chaos!

The ferocious ocean surges smashed the ship to splinters, hurling wreckage every which way via the whirlpool!

Straight toward the 'Fairyland' flew the chest holding Bela!

Despite three elite S-rankers combining forces, they couldn't defy the 'World's' fury, helpless to block Bela's getaway that day!

Next day, remnants of the wrecked vessel washed ashore on the fairy continent, close to Kenorland's beach!

Nova, out for a beach walk that day, stumbled upon Bela purely by chance!

The wild tumbling and chaos had knocked Bela unconscious in the chest; when consciousness returned, she lay on a vast, plush bed within the Temple of Nature!

...

"You are finally awake? I must say, human children sleep a lot!"

"This is my first time seeing a human kid but it seems that human kids are actually quite cute and adorable..."

Nova, perched close by, gazed at Bela with wide, inquisitive eyes, and Bela stared right back.

She propped herself up, eyes wide with astonishment at Nova!

"The little toy doll is speaking!?"

Since fairies match the size of girls' toy dolls, Bela figured Nova for a plaything and marveled at her speech!

"I am not a toy doll kiddo... By the way, are you hungry? I did hear somewhere that human children drink only milk when they are young..."

"What about you, little girl? What’s your name? Do you want to drink milk?"

"Although we fairies don’t have the ability to create breast milk for you, with magic we can definitely create regular milk for your sake..."

Hearing Nova’s words, Bela puffed her cheeks and declared,

"I don’t drink milk like babies! I am not a kid! I am ten years old you know! My name is Bela, not ’Kiddo’! hmph!"

Nova grinned at Bela's retort and pulled tasty berries from her space ring!

"Hoho, we have an energetic guest, it seems. I am Nova, the fairy in charge of the Temple of Nature and the city of Kenorland!"

"Welcome to the land of fairies, Bela!"

With a gentle expression on her petite face, Nova offered Bela heaps of berries and fruits!

Kenorland fell short on buildings and tech, but food? It overflowed with abundance!

Kenorland held enough sustenance to nourish whole countries alone! This bountiful, fertile realm sprouted every sort of fruit and exotic plant.

Though surrounded by unfamiliar surroundings, Bela yielded to her rumbling belly and joyfully devoured the treats before her!

And so, Bela Anant's epic journey kicked off!
