Reborn as an Extra Chapter 633: Endless Greed, Endless Cruelty. Part-1.

As Lia and Kai chatted animatedly by themselves, Nova finally broke free from her trance, noticing for the first time the pitiful little girl Bela, who shuddered in terror while attempting to conceal herself beneath the bench.
"Bela, come out. There's no need to fear..."
"This human has been selected and trusted by the divine spirit general himself; she won't harm you at all. You can come out..."
Despite repeated persuasions, the little girl Bela stubbornly stayed hidden under her shelter.
Noticing the scene, Lia approached, settled onto the ground nearby the bench, set Kai down, and nudged him closer to the child.
"Hello, little one... I'm Lia Silver. I've come to befriend you... Look, this little kitty and I are great pals. Wouldn't you like to befriend the cat too?"
Watching tiny Bela quiver silently, Kai rolled his eyes but obeyed Lia's cue, beginning to approach the girl.
With gentle meows, Kai positioned himself next to Bela, allowing his plump, fluffy feline form to brush against her hand.
The sensation of the cat's soft fur eased Bela slightly, prompting Lia to place the tiny golem on the ground as well.
"Look, I've got this little robot toy too... Want to play with it? His name is RJ!"
The sight of the small golem sparked interest in Bela, and as soon as Lia released him, she grabbed him swiftly and clutched him tightly in her tiny arms!
"Hello, I am RJ, a little golem. I am a powerful warrior robot!"
At the sound of the golem's voice, Bela's eyes sparkled with wonder, as all traces of fear and alarm vanished from her expression.
Following some comforting words, Bela finally emerged, even permitting Lia to stroke her head without fleeing.
Observing this, Nova shook her head, a wry smile crossing her lips as she commented.
"No wonder you tamed even a divine spirit general so effortlessly... It took me days to befriend that little girl and earn her trust..."
"Yet you won her over completely in mere minutes... You're truly remarkable, Lia Silver..."
Lia grinned in response to Nova's remark and answered,
"Haha, it's just that I've dealt with situations like this before... You could say I'm experienced..."
Lia possessed a mischievous boyfriend who relentlessly teased her from dawn till dusk!
Frequently, his endless pranks left her fuming, yet Rio's masterful manipulation skills always conjured clever ways to reconcile with her.
He not only knew all her favorites but could invent fresh delights she might adore, and after witnessing these tactics over time, Lia had picked up a few herself.
"Sigh... that idiot Rio... hmph! He's so adept at cheering people up that I always forget my anger moments after..."
Though Rio maintained a blank, emotionless facade, he excelled profoundly in discerning and grasping others' feelings with pinpoint accuracy.
During his teases with Lia, he instinctively knew precisely when to halt or pull back to avoid igniting her wrath.
He mastered the ideal line between fun banter and excess; that skill was a key factor in his constant victories over Lia in their teasing duels!
"Hehe... just wait, Demon King Rio; my triumph over you draws near..."
Gently caressing Bela's head, Lia felt delighted at her growing prowess in managing people and feelings these days.
"By the way... Bela is human, right? How did she wind up in Kenorland?"
In response to Lia's query, Nova let out a sigh and explained,
"Kenorland sits along the northern shore of the Fairy Kingdom, where the seas teem with ferocious monsters that unleash chaos nearly every day..."
"Overbold captains venturing these perilous waves frequently meet destruction, with debris from their vessels frequently washing ashore..."
Nova gazed at Bela joyfully interacting with the small golem and continued.
"I discovered Bela inside a locked chest three months back and brought her to Kenorland... She's remained here ever since..."
"For about a month now, humans and demons have assaulted Fairyland, preventing me from returning her to the human empire..."
Upon hearing Nova's intent to dispatch her to the human empire, Bela quivered violently and rejected the notion with fervor.
"N-no... I-I won't go back... Th-they took mom... Th-they took dad... No... no..."
Nova shook her head upon Bela's outburst.
"The primary reason I haven't returned her is her clear aversion to the prospect... Those humans might have harmed her parents..."
Lia nodded in agreement to those words.
"Not all humans are virtuous, and I accept that... It might not be wise to send her back unaccompanied..."
"Especially since King Allen hasn't emerged yet to forge a unified realm... History records that prior to his birth, the world drowned in turmoil..."
"Humanity itself splintered into rival factions that clashed endlessly..."
King Allen's arrival alone quelled the global disorder and united forces against demons.
That period lay distant from the present, rendering blind trust unwise.
"By the way, why are humans invading Fairyland? I've been secluded training with Spirit General Kai, so I'm clueless about current events... Could you explain?"
Nova nodded at Lia's question and responded,
"Their chief goal mirrors the demons'... They covet our legendary artifacts, but unlike demons who slaughter us out of hatred for our healing magic..."
"Humans lust after our restorative powers... Thus, they've devised something named 'Benevolent Fairy Powder'..."
