Reborn as an Extra Chapter 605: We Will Meet. (End of Volume-6).

Previously on Reborn as an Extra...
The crew of the flying ship waited anxiously at the dwarf kingdom's port as their half-year permit expired, insisting on holding out until the last moment for Rio's return. With mere minutes remaining, Rio appeared on deck, allowing the ship to depart into the vast ocean under the starry night sky. In his room, he concealed the containers bearing Ellie's body and the souls of Liam and Ellie, then played a quiet, melancholic flute melody, contemplating the partial failure of his mission and the urgent need for greater strength against emerging threats.

From a delicate hand, tainted miasmic grains scattered, fading away gradually with the breeze as a soft voice echoed across the surroundings.

The verses appeared to hold profound implications, and the minstrel voicing them seemed utterly convinced that a monumental shift was emerging in this realm.

Perched on a shattered remnant of the enormous pillar that had once borne the mighty seal, Raika chanted tributes to the Anomaly who had triumphed over him in fierce direct confrontation!

Even in its damaged condition, weaker than previously, his partially wrecked lyre continued to produce harmonious tunes.

A smile graced Raika's face as he observed the miasmic grains on his hand drifting off into the wind.

"The era has changed... I am sure you know that too..."

Concluding his song, Raika settled into a leisurely pose, gazing toward the massive gate rising on the distant hillside.

Quietness lingered in the vicinity for some moments, yet a response to his statement arrived shortly.

"I am aware of it... I saw it all myself after all... when Alverto died... the Era had already changed..."

"You have taken longer to realize it than me..."

At an unspecified moment, a misty, dark silhouette materialized next to Raika; its tone felt deeply grating to the ears, and the form exuded such strength that the very weave of space-time began to warp under its influence.

"Hah, so you are here after all... Hoh? You have become better at creating ’Projections’... this one is starting to seem more and more better now..."

"It’s been a while, Saint Nebo... or should I say..."

The indistinct shadow, the projection, the embodiment that twisted reality's essence merely by existing, was none other than the Demon King in person.

"You have become more annoying than before, Raika..."

Dahaka showed no delight at Raika’s remarks, and he clearly disliked Raika uttering his name so openly.

"You know that the Spirit Realm is not a good place to talk about things... Why summon me here?"

In response to the demon king's inquiry, Raika offered his typical mild grin and answered steadily,

"I wanted to tell you of something personally... it’s been a while since I saw you; why not come here in person?"

"Talking to me can’t be that boring, right?"

The demon king shook his head and rejected the idea right away.

"I cannot physically enter the Spirit Realm, you know that much... moreover, people like Ashtel are keeping an eye on my movement outside..."

"I cannot move at random... whatever you want to inform me about, do so now; I do not have time to waste on you..."

Raika let out a sigh, feeling dissatisfied at the refusal.

"Well, whatever... not like your presence will change anything here..."

"What I wanted to tell you about was that, ’The Anomaly’ is not yet aware of any of his ’past,’ it seems..."

"The ’Bizarre’ thing... it doesn’t seem to know where it came from and how it’s in existence now... I am very surprised that it’s so oblivious of its reality..."

The Demon King fell quiet upon receiving that news, and stillness returned to the area once more.

It was only after a considerable pause that the demon king responded to Raika’s statement.

"Are you sure about this?... This shouldn’t have been possible but... perhaps it is because its own innate powers are at play here..."

"It’s impossible to understand what’s actually happening with an ’Anomaly’... so ’its’ exact situation is hard to figure out even with my powers..."

Upon hearing the Demon King’s explanation, Raika grinned and answered with assurance in his expression,

"Well, I was also surprised but even after telling him to be a ’Hero’ many times over and telling him to follow the ’Path’ I recommended, ’It’ didn’t react to it at all..."

"Perhaps, the Anomaly is still not at its full manifestation as of yet..."

"If it was... I would have ceased to exist after trying to recommend such a wrong ’Path’ to him..."

The demon king appeared lost in contemplation following Raika’s remarks.

"My guess is that he might need to reach the realm of ’demigods’ before he can finally become a true ’Anomaly,’ then..."

Raika nodded in agreement to the Demon King’s observation and questioned in a playful manner,

"So... what do you think?... You know that we can only make him be the ’Hero’ only when he’s still a partially awakened anomaly..."

"Once he reaches the realm of Demi-gods... we will not be able to make him do our bidding anymore afterwards... now is the right time and moment..."

"I have already provided you with all the information that you needed... what will you do now, Dahaka?"

The Demon King remained quiet for a moment and fixed his gaze on the enormous door far off before answering in an exceptionally serene tone,

"I have already prepared the stage... I just need to let nature takes its course now..."

"He must choose the ’Path of a Hero’ at all costs... and I will make sure of that..."

Upon receiving the Demon King’s determined reply, Raika chuckled lightly and responded,

"You have become more powerful than the last time I saw you... also... why does it seem like you have become more ’Sentient’ than before..."

"It is quite surprising that the effects of miasmic corruption have decreased and your brain has returned back to its original state of that bygone era..."

"I am looking forward to what you will achieve..."

The hazy shadow glanced at the ruined grand seal and answered in a strangely composed voice,

"Nothing changed... it’s just a filial son of mine who ended up doing something completely out of my expectations..."

"He created a new possibility for the demon kind... because of it... I am feeling much clear-headed for the first time in several centuries..."

Alverto had failed to fulfill his task of forging a ’New Path,’ since the Altar he constructed endured unbroken for merely 12 seconds!

Though the Altar activated briefly, those 10 seconds sufficed to cleanse Aurora, freeing her entirely from miasmic taint and its bindings.

Yet the Altar persisted for two additional seconds post-purification of Aurora, during which it targeted another for cleansing, and that individual was the Demon King himself!

"I see... so Alverto passed the torch of ’Hope’ to you... That kid... he was truly a hero for the demon race..."

Alverto had outwitted Rio, the ’Anomaly,’ and succeeded in handing his duty to the subsequent carrier, his own father, the demon king!

"Well, I owe him for helping me clear my muddled head from miasmic corruption... but I am not obligated to listen to his demands..."

"I still have my own things to do after all..."

Raika chuckled at the demon king’s statements as he continued.

"Yeah, you are that kind of selfish guy after all... so, what are you going to do next?"

"Look for him personally and confront him?"

To Raika’s query, the Demon King grinned and answered while denying with a head shake,

"No need... I do not need to look for him... He will come to me on his own in the future..."

"After all, our ’Paths’ are bound to cross one day or another... We will meet at that time..."

With those words, the demon king’s shadow vanished in an instant, and as though it had never been there, the environment reverted to its usual state.

Witnessing this, Raika shook his head and intoned in a soothing voice,
